Relaxing, Friendly, Best Location with Scenic Sampaloc Lake in front! ”
Had my birthday celebration last January 10-11, 2021. With senior parents and adult siblings. The receptionist was very accommodating and listens to all our quiries. The owner was there and gladly assisted us. We were sanitized upon entry. I booked a family room located at 3rd floor. No elevator but very nice stairs. Knowing that we have seniors with us, we were transfered to executive rooms on 2nd floor. The weather is cold when we are there. Plenty of spots you can have photos with family. It's strategically located in the city making it very accessible to stores, restos. Very relaxing, pool operational. Value for money!

Best spot in San Pablo City (right beside Sampaloc Lake)”
Tahanan was right by the lake. Rooms were spacious and so is the dining area. The entire place was breezy and felt like home sweet home. We would have stayed longer but we had to jump to the next town for business. Thank you for accommodating our late check-in and even upgrading us to Executive Suite! :D

Great Staycation”
I don’t have much to say about the week that my wife and I spent at this wonderful hotel. We have been dealing with lockdowns and travel restrictions and I really felt like I needed to treat us to something different and special. This hotel was the place! It saved my sanity. I loved our room and the pool and it’s location. A great deal for the cost. We only live about 10 miles away, but it was truly like a grand vacation for us. If you are considering this hotel for a stay, just book it and go there. Nice staff too.

Staffs are really nice, and would help you with anything. The view from the balcony is exquisite. Clean rooms with good internet. Free breakfast. If you'll stay here in December, make sure to visit the park at night for a wonderful view of the lights. We'll definitely visit again.

Relaxing Stay”
This stay was not planned but looking at Agoda site and learning that Tahanan is overlooking Sampaloc Lake, I immediately booked the place. Staff are very courteous and accommodating. The place is clean. They do not have a gym but a good run or walk around the lake and park will keep you on track of your fitness goal.

Hotel with a nice view”
This hotel has great views of the Sampaloc Lake. It may look a tad old but it is clean and it does not give you the stinky feel. Family friendly, it is near establishments and has friendly staff.

Affordable hotel near Sampaloc Lake”
The hotel is easily accessible from the main road. It has an entrance directly facing the Sampaloc Lake, so strolling along the lake boardwalk is a must. The hotel amenities is generally complete (towels, toiletries, and wifi) We also appreciated the breakfast service. Our only complaint is that the water supply runs low/insufficient at some parts of the day (maybe due to the fact that San Pablo City is geographically elevated). The hot water supply is also inconsistent.

Still one of the better facilities in San Pablo City if only for the location”
The first time I checked in was several years ago in their family room. My family and I were very much impressed. We came back again this time and still used the family room. Unfortunately, the beds we slept on were probably the same beds we used years ago. I think they needed to be replaced already. The aircon was leaking inside the room making the wooden floor beneath it slippery. We also had trouble with the TV. The lobby/breakfast area and the second floor balcony are very good places to watch the view of the lake and the mountains. The greatest strength of the place is still its perfect location. I just wish they would replace/update some of their furnitures and facilities for more memorable experiences of their guests.

the room we were placed was a bit dated. the bathroom can use some renovation. I was afraid i will destroy the toilet lol. the bed was comfortable and we had a small refrigerator which was great. internet was good, staff was friendly as well. had trouble sleeping initially because the veranda access was communal, the other guests were a bit noisy when they were hanging out. all in all i will book again if needed.

Old Heritage House”
Great place with a view of the lake. Came during MECQ. There are bad reviews of management on excessive rates but business is slow when we came so I guess they were flexible. Old grand house makes you feel like you are living in a mansion, drinking coffee while on a balcony enjoying the view of the lake. A jog around the lake is nice then swim in their simple pool. Staying does not make you feel like you are in a hotel but a relative's house as the rooms are old but decent.

Pros 1) Easy drive to location, nice hotel by the lake, access when you bring your bicycle to circle around the lake with lots of people during Sunday morning 2) free breakfast on-site Cons 1) toilet/bathroom drainage needs to be sucked/pumped since water takes time to drain from shower and wash tub 2) stairs going up

Basic but OK”
The best selling point is Cafe Lago which is just 70 feet from the gate. Sleep here, eat there. The view is the best part of this place. The cool wind from the lake is very refreshing if you are up on the balcony or the pool area. The free breakfast is basic, nothing special. Rooms are sufficient. No frills, just the basic needs met. I just needed a bed to sleep in.

When you want to spend a weekend by the ambience of a lake but still within the city province, this might be the place for you. On weekends especially Sundays, a lot of joggers, bikers, hawkers, folks strolling around the lake.

Only thing good was the location”
Travelled for work and booked a room here. They gave me a room behind their office. It had a corridor leading to their laundry area, you can see the sheets hanging. The windows only opened to this corridor. Bathroom was not clean, there was hair stuck to the walls. Gross. The breakfast was good, location of the hotel was good. But I will look elsewhere next time I’m in the area. They should realize business travellers need to be treated better.

Cozy..for short stay”
To start with, it was quite difficult to locate the Hotel, as there are no Major signs pointing to the Location (Sampaloc Lake). It was my first time to drive around San Pablo area and I was Lucky to see the single street sign pointing to the direction of the Hotel. I was surprise on how busy the streets of San Pablo is...travel there to get away of City life, but found Traffic congestion everywhere. Too much Jeepneys and Tricycle around the area. Upon arriving in the Hotel, we were pleasantly greeted by the Hotel Staff. I provided a copy of my reservation and we were immediately provided with the rooms I requested including additional request at that time. I booked for 2 rooms, 1 Superior room and 1 Honeymoon room. I checked both rooms and find the Superior room more spacious than the Honeymoon room. I really wouldn't classify this as a hotel, but more of a rest house. The view outside is great. The more expensive rooms (Superior/Honeymoon) have better view of the Sampaloc Lake. The design of the house is Rustic and resembles an ancestral home of a rich politician back in the 80s. Lighting is a bit dark and some of the furniture/appliances may need to be updated. If you are looking for a quite place to stay in San Pablo, with a good view and accommodating personnel, then Tahanan ni Aling Meding should be just right for you.
