They've seen that I like tea, so I've got some very nice tea as a present. I've told that I ate something wrong they've brought me a local medicine. On my way to Little Bagan they've messaged me to recommend a nice place to eat at. The masseuse (traditional Thai massage) was very good. I've got a heater and 2 extra blankets to use at night. The breakfast was prepared according to my precise dietary restrictions. The rest of the food was tasty. The deluxe room was fancy, the superior was more basic but not bad at all. The only thing I would wish for would be a better Wi-Fi, but the situation is the very same for any other good hotel in the whole region. Stayed for 3 nights, safely recommended.

Beautiful setup and beautiful employees ”
We stayed 3 nights here because i got sick. They took amazing care of us and brought me everything i needed. They even cooked me a special rice porridge since i couldnt keep anything else down. The staff was so genuinely friendly and lovely - i would gladly stay here again! It was a quiet, green, clean haven in an otherwise loud and dusty city.

Everything about it is what I hoped for. Tucked away among walls of orchids and other tropical plants; quite and serene; clean room; super friendly staffs. Breakfast mostly consists of local fruits and simple options. Unfortunately no in-house restaurant for lunch, dinner, but given the scope of the operation its nothing to gripe about. Will go back in a heartbeat!!

Excellent hotel”
After staying at another, disappointing hotel in Hsipaw, we found this one. What a wonderful place. It's almost perfect: lovely garden, quiet and peaceful, good breakfast, very helpful staff who speak good English (they can help with all your travel plans). Highly recommended!

Garden eden with great breakfast”
Beautiful breakfast/dining area sorounded by lush vegetation, a small garden eden in Hsipaw. The staff and the break fast was the best we had on our three week Trip through Myanmar! The rooms are ok, they could need a refresher, but they were clean and smelled fresh (especially the blankets and towels) , something you dont find always! Only bummer: we had double bed with two seperate mattress... Not that great!

Friendly and relaxing”
The rooms were nice and the staff were very helpful. The garden rooms take you away from the busy city outside. Bathrooms are a little let down, but average for similar hotels we have stayed at.

Garden eden with great food”
Beautiful dining/breakfast hall with lush green vegetation. The breakfast was the best we had in our three week trip through Myanmar. Only con, the rooms look old and dont look that fresh, but the towels, bed sheets etc were very clean. We would book again.

Friendly staff in garden setting ”
The location is 3 min walk from where the long distance bus stop. The staff are friendly and professional; helping my friend to get halah food. It is located just 1 street away from the best Muslim food. Thank you for the extra mile. The only thing I may complain about is the doors.... Can I suggest that the toilet door be change with the room door? It's a more secured lock on toilet door.

Great Staff & Location - Not Great WiFi/Food”
The hotel is covered in plants and has a beautiful garden. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (even by Myanmar standards). Location is off the main road which makes everything in the city very accessible but it's still quiet and you don't hear the traffic. They also will let you borrow a bike for free to go sightseeing around the city. That said, the food in the restaurant was overpriced and terrible - be sure to find food somewhere else for half the price before all of the restaurants close at 8pm. WiFi was also terrible and we had to tether our phones to the computer instead of trying to use the internet in the hotel. Overall, this place is probably as good an option as any other place in town and we'd stay here again if we were in Hsipaw.

Authentic Shan Hospitality Experience”
We stayed in Tai house for four nights, it was absolutely a lovely experience. We reached Hsipaw in the afternoon by a shared taxi from Mandalay. Check in was smooth and fast. The restaurant at Tai house was very nice, we had our dinners there four days in a row, the Shan set menu is on the must try list, also the Hsipaw twilight cocktail is something that you don't want to miss if you are looking for a taste of the local rum. Breakfast from Tai house is elegant and super fresh. You choose your own preference and time for the breakfast at the reception the night before. Besides the traditional western breakfast menu, they also provide local Shan noodle and rice as breakfast which is definitely worth trying.Another highlight of Tai house is the trekking tour they provide. We chose the one day tour with the waterfall, Shan village and boat trip.We spent an awesome day together with our local tour guide EiEi. She speaks good English and were very helpful. We took the boat to the water conjunction where you can swim and chill. Also on the way back we visited a Shan village which can be only reached by train, boat or motorcycle. We planed to take the train from Hsipaw to Pyin Oo Lwin then bus from there to Inle lake. The staff at Tai house booked the bus ticket for us and plus wrote down the detailed information about the bus both in English and Burmese which was very helpful. A big thanks to them again. Days in Hsipaw are definitely unforgettable.

Best stay in Myanmar”
We could not have been happier with our stay at Tai House! From the moment we arrived in Hsipaw, the Tai House made our stay outstanding! The room had comfy beds and a hot shower. The facility is absolutely beautiful! From the traditional Shan main building to the flower filled outside space, it was stunning. The best part about Tai House, though, is the staff. Everyone goes out of his/her way to be helpful, including the owner, who was on property every day working with the staff. We enjoyed Hsipaw and Tai House so much we extended our stay. The manager and staff carried our bags to the bus stop and waited for the boys with us at the end of our stay. In my travels, I have never experienced better service. I wish I could rate higher than a 10. When in Hsipaw, be sure to stay at Tai House Resort.

Nicest experience in Myanmar ”
The kindness and service of the Tai House staff is the best we have experienced during the 4 months we have been traveling SE Asia. It started upon our arrival at the Hsipaw train station (from Pyin Oo Lwin past the amazing Gokteik Viaduct). Tai House staff was waiting for us with placard with our names on it. What made this so remarkable and welcoming is that we never mentioned to the hotel that we were coming on the train. Imagine our pleasant surprise. They had a tuk tuk waiting and promptly took us to the hotel, where we were greeted with cool towels and a refreshing juice. The hotel is peaceful and on a quiet street. The rooms is very clean, with cute and creative towel figurines each day. We felt like we were on our honeymoon. The service at morning breakfast was perfect, what you might expect from a 5 star resort. They have bikes available for free to explore the town and nearby countryside. The owner helped us book a minivan to go to Mandalastay. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent in every area”
We came to Hsipaw by train and were surprised that they actually arranged a pick up for us from the train station. Upon arrival they were all very hospitable and offered us drinks and cold towel as we arrive. Thereafter they showed us to our room which was pleasant. The whole area is very clean. Shower although not having much pressure, but there is hot water too. As we went for a hike with a local guide called Kham Lu(https://shanstatetrekking.wordpress.com) whom we would recommend to have a tour with if you would love to see the mountainous villagers. The hotel offered us 2 bottles of water as we departed. They also have good food here, breakfast is really good. They also allowed us to sit here comfortable as we waited for our 6.30pm bus. Would certainly recommend Tai House Resort to anyone.

Great hotel wonderful people”
Best hotel I stayed at during three weeks in Myanmar, and mainly for the kind and attentive staff. The rooms are pretty standard, but the staff/owners will go the extra mile to be accommodating. They were waiting for me at the train station when I arrived even though I didn't even tell them I was coming by train. They even gave me a gift when I checked out and had take out breakfast prepared for me when I had to catch my 5 am bus. I found Hsipaw to be the friendliest town I visited in Myanmar, and everyone at Tai house certainly exemplified this kind spirit. The grounds have a nice garden which provides a little Oasis in a town that can get a bit smoggy. Definitely the best place to stay if you visit Hsipaw...

Very nice resort”
Best in Myanmar. Owners are very helpful and friendly. They even arranged my train tickets and dropped me off at the train station. Very friendly and helpful, were the staff. It was great three nights stay in a chalet set among lovely gardens. Breakfast and other meals were delicious. Sure to stay in Tai House Resort when next I visit to Hsipaw.

A secret garden to relax”
we had wonderful stay at Tai House Resort for 2 nights. The staffs and owner are friendly and helpful to arrange our transport and trekking trip, we are totally hazard free staying with them. The cooking is one of our favourite during our trip in Myanmar. Will definitely recommend friends to stay here if visiting Hsipaw.

Really nice place! Perfect staff!!”
The stay in thai house resort was very surprising. We came fir one night and ended up staying for 3 nights. The staff is absolutely amazing! So kind! So generous! And very helpful! The breakfast was very nice and tasty. Its not a buffet what maks it strange at first but they surve you many dishes and you definitely dont feel full at the end of it. The only thing I would improve is the pressure of the water in the shower. We would definitely come back if we arrive again to hsipaw! Especially because of the amazing staff!

I had my best and most enjoyable hotel stay at the smallest town of travel in Myanmar. this little hotel in hsipaw is the hotel to beat. my partner loved the breakfast. best pancakes in myanmar, noodle was delicious, everything about the breakfast is good. love the natural yogurt that was served. the hotel is beautiful on the outside. on the inside, small and cozy, with no tv and fridge. location is definitely central just a short walk to nearby restaurant, a kaung kyite which as delicious. 3 star price here.. but 5* service.

From what we saw of the competition, Tai House is easily the best hotel in central Hsipaw. The little bungalows are lovely and the staff were very friendly, helpful and eager to please.

Great hotel; wonderful, friendly owners and staff”
Book your stay here. Brand new Nov 2014. Best place to stay in Hsipaw, hands down. Shan owned. Owners and staff go so far above and beyond, we felt like special family guests. They will introduce you to an excellent guide, Ko Oo, for any treks to hill villages. He has been in the guiding business for over 17 years. The resort is on a quite street and has cute bungalows. Breakfast is included and is preordered the night before with a nice selection. Have good bikes for rent. Need something? Just ask. This has been our best experience in Myanmar. Just perfect. Thank you !! We will come back.
