This hotel has everything. Kind staff, peace and quiet. All the titbits, and a nice bathtub. Would love to stay there again.

Great central location ”
This was a great hotel - basic- but with a separate bathroom and blacked out window. The breakfast was a little strange so you had a voucher for 50 Taiwan dollars at the cafe next door ( the hotel provides you with water and coffee which you take over ) My biggest problem with the hotel was the television stations as there were about 3 or 4 full on very graphic porn channels - had my daughter turned on the TV instead of me she would have been psychologically affected - and throughout our stay I had to be the one in charge of changing the channel in case it reverted back to the porn

Whole place filled with cigarette smell. Book two Quad room but given Quad room with different room size. Lift super old and small. Amenities was in pack style. Staff was friendly.

To expensive with low service quality”
We booked at the ending-year days so the price was very expensive but the quality was very bad. They did’nt clean the room. No way to have hot water, no refrigerator. Shampoo in two bags only and no additional given the next day. Not worth the money.

Horrible! ”
The room was not 6sqm at all, way smaller! It smelled like smoke everywhere, the AC smelled really bad so you had the smoke that is soaked into everything and the disgusting smell of the AC! Also staff smoked inside the hotel to make it worse!! Thin walls, no windows, room was located in the attic! No WIFI! Hairs on the sheets. The staff made the neighbour rooms at 2.30 AM and were LOUD! Even after asking them twice to stop they continued. Everything that happened in there was weird! I would not recommend this "hotel" to my worst enemy!!!

Budget Stay”
We had a good stay at Tai Zih. It's a really old love hotel but it had everything you needed, especially for those on a budget. You get a voucher for breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, which is really yummy and very busy. That's what you want in Taiwan. Trust the locals! The staff were really nice as well. Location is halfway between the train station and Anping. We took a taxi to Anping but walked everywhere else as Tainan runs on a bus system. But you could rent a bike or scooter to get there too. If you're not fussed and won't be in the room too much anyway than I recommended staying here.

Great Staff”
There was a face changing performance in the lobby to entertain guests and a variety of free drinks available from the lobby. Staff were great and even gave us a ride to the train station. Would definitely go back if in Tainan again.

I read a few reviews here before booking my stay at this hotel and was prepared for the smell of stale cigarette smoke. I'm not a smoker and didn't notice it in my room. What I did notice is that the toilet cistern was leaking and this had left water on the bathroom floor.However this just needed a quick turn to tighten. As this is a love hotel and the rooms are often rented by the hour, it means cleaning is done regularly during the night which isn't great for light sleepers but it wasn't a major problem either as it was expected. I enjoyed the breakfast next door.

Great budget hostel to stay close proximity to all attractions if u ride ”
Great budget hotel to stay close proximity to all attractions if u ride . The hotel has washing machine and dryer on top where you can do your own laundry while taking a smoking break right on top and have a nice view nearby. Cinema is located like 50 meters away from the hotel so is good if you wanted to catch up with the latest blockbuster, in fact u can even get to watch the whole show by yourself if u are watching the midnite show. Highly recommended.

Small Room”
The room provided for a solo traveler is so small that I even get the claustrophobia. The only thing that's keeping me awake of my memory of the hotel is the experience to have a breakfast along with the locals; the NT60 meal voucher was good enough to survive one breakfast of a Taiwanese omelette and a milk tea. The location is very far from the bus stations (bus88 and bus99 for tourists), that's why I have to delist this hotel from my future travel to Tainan.

Exceptional”
You get what you paid for. Since I booked the cheapest ensuite room, it was really tiny. Not for the claustrophobic. For me i didn't mind. It still had all the facilities plus breakfast. It's a real bargain. Also I got to use a rickety bicycle with extra charge. Be careful though some people steal your bicycle lock but leave the bicycle. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Nice. It is not a luxurious place, but all the complaints other reviewers presented are quite exaggerated. Although the staff no virtually no English, they were helpful during my 3-day stay.

FOOD HUNTING IN TAINAN”
Overall, it was a reasonably good place to relax after a long walk around the vicinity. Rooms could be a bit old but the air-conditioning was fine. There was some noise pollution from people walking by but it was not so critical. However, the room cleaning team could have done a better job in ensuring that the room is rubbish and dirt free, especially under the bed.

Great Location for Foodies”
A couple blocks from Hainan street, which is where I spent my evenings walking, shopping, eating, and drinking. Still a relatively expensive area compared to the rest of Asia, but it is Taiwan. I got the smallest room with a private bathroom, and it was THE smallest room. Literally, I could not open the door all the way because that was the only place for a suitcase. However, nice LED TV, some American channels, great ac, and ok wifi. Good enough for me, but my standards are easy to meet.

Tai Zih Hotel”
they have a sign in Chinese saying it can be rented in per hour blocks. That aside, its a pretty nice location and the staff are always friendly. The 'included breakfast' is just a couple of TWD$50 vouchers they give you to use at the breakfast stall next door. For $50 you can get a pork baozi, radish cake and cup of milk tea/black tea/soy milk. The food was actually pretty good. Overall for the price that I paid I would say its a pretty good place indeed and its a pretty good location as well.
