Taipei 101 Nestal Guesthouse

Very good location about 15 minutes walk to Taipei 101 MRT. Just be clear, there is no reception on the Guesthouse. The host will usually email you on the day of check in giving you instructions how to get inside. Beds are not so comfy, actually it's like lying on a board. Comforters are bit shabby.

The room was very dirty. There was a bad smell from bathbathroom. No bottle water provided as advertised. No refill for shampoo. you can hear sounds from next door and corridor due to bad soundproof of the room. Not recommended at all.

The family room price is very affordable, clean & accessible. Community is quiet and the administrators are very accommodating and easy to deal with. I will surely stay here again on my next visit to Taipei

It's like finding a home in a strange place. The host was accommodating and helpful. And if you want healthy exercises for your legs while travelling the whole of Taipei or wherever in the country, the location will do good. Thank you so much for the experience.

Location: The place is near Taipei 101 but a little bit hard to find at first. It's probably a 10-15 minute walk. It's near restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops. Staff You can contact Daniel through Line or email. No staff will welcome you though since it's like a guesthouse. Entrance and room access are through passwords. Room The room we got was spacious. It has a complete set of amenities like towels, toothbrush, towelettes, tea and coffee.

First of all, thank you to Daniel chou for being accommodating and efficient even though our only means of communication was via "imessage", it was more than ok. The location was just perfect for me because the neighborhood was peaceful, clean, organized and very conducive to walking. The room was clean and was just good enough for our group, the wifi was fast (that's a plus for me!). Over all, i highly recommend this place. 👍🏻

It was one rainy morning when we arrived and it was difficult to find the place at first since there's no sign around the area and no reception or any kind. We tried to contact them through Line to request for early check-in and thankfully, Daniel granted our request. Our room was already prepared and the price was worth it. It is a perfect room for four people. It is complete with what we needed including toiletries(clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap) and we even got complimentary coffees. The place is in a quiet residential area but is very near to Taipei 101 and very accessible either by train or bus. One weird thing though is that there is no personnel around and all instructions were given through emails including the passcode of the main gate and the room lol. So if you are a paranoid person, you might question the security in this place. But even though it is through email, Daniel is responsive enough to answer our inquiries. Kudos to this guesthouse that we enjoyed our overall stay in Taipei! I will still choose this guesthouse the next time I will visit Taiwan and will recommend this to others. By the way, better try the breakfast place near it especially their milk tea! :)

There was lots of ants. We never met the staff. There was no window that we can’t get enough rest..

I'll start with the room first. The walls were dirty and dusty, the beds were hard, the bathroom was leaking, and we were provided with expired soap and toothpaste. It was difficult to communicate with the owner. When we booked this, we requested for early check-in. Apparently, early check-in was not allowed, but the thing is we were not informed of it. We arrived at Taipei around 2 AM and went to the hotel and we could not enter the property until 12NN. We had to have the taxi driver contact the owner just to get instructions. Just to give you a head's up, there is no reception upon arrival, so you're on your own. Location-wise, it was difficult to find. It was near a Family Mart and a KFC. It took us around 20-25 minutes to walk from the house to Taipei 101 station.

1st of all the room is quite ok for a guesthouse. The only problem is bad sound proof. I got a room just beside the main door. I can hear the noisy sound when ppl passby the walk way, the wrong password key in into the main door and also the sound of rain drop on the roof top ! I really cant sleep well. What a tired trip. -.-

Loved their comforter matched with the very cool aircon/ complete with bath amenities/ water heater system works perfectly fine/ peaceful neighborhood and safe to walk even at night/ 10-15 mins walk to Taipei 101/ fast wifi connection/ not sure if there is housekeeping service available

The only downside is the location. It's a bit far from central Taipei. But if you want a quiet place to stay, this would be perfect for you. Clean. Great WiFi. Daniel is very accomodating even though we did not see him during our entire stay. iMessage was our way of communication.

We've stayed in quad room, nothing special. Just a bit damp inside the room if you didn't switch on the air-cond because it has no window. Its situated in the housing area, 10~15 mins walk to Taipei 101. There isn't any staff or receptionist there, just a house you enter by password. Overall, if you wanna save money, its a pretty good choice.

The good: 1. Location The lodging's location is fantastic given it's walking distance away (10 minutes) to Taipei 101 and 7 minutes walking distance to 象山，a very famous hiking trail to get great shoot of the Taipei city skyline. Do expect to walk alot if you plan to stay here as it is some distance away from the nearest MRT station and buses were scarce at best 2. Completeness of facility The room has what you expect of a 3 star hotel, complete with fridge, hairdryer, heated mirror, heated bath. The lodging is also equiped with drinking water dispenser, washing machine and clothes dryer (a godsend for us because it rained all the time when we were in Taipei) The bad: 1. Host/Owner/Staff We only had interaction with one person (Daniel) which I'll be referring to as the staff. All interaction was done via email initially on how to unlock the front gate and enter the room etc, don't expect any sort of warm welcome at all. It's not until we highlight the fact that they key was missing the staff came to give another set of key to us. His reasoning to us was the previous guy had lost the key, given that you'd expect that the owner to change the security passcode to the front door or some other security measure to make us more comfortable, but he split as soon as he can from the scene and never to be heard again. 2. Clealiness The room has a relatively clean floor and bed but the desk leaves much to be desired, dust gathered all over the desk surface and the drawers, I advice against storing anything in the drawer if possible

A really wonderful Guest House. Very well located by a metro station which connects with the city very well.

Got centipede on the bed!!!

Previous guest leftover drinks still in the fridge , toilet is dirty & room is dusty.Owner doesn't feel like wanna "entertain" his guest.Will never return to this guesthouse.

Excellent host he responds to all messages very very fast. Clear communication of location and check in instructions! Highly recommended!
