Spacious and comfortable stay”
Taipei Fullerton Hotel - East Review: The Good: Spacious room Two large bed (two king size) - can sleep up to 4 Complete toiletries Welcome Fruits (Kiwi, Orange, Banana) Price $65/night - no bfast 5 mins walk to MTR Convenient stores: 7-11, Hi-life Resto: Mos Burger, Yoshinoya, upscale resto Watson and more shopping The Bad: Need some refresh as the rooms, toilet, cabinet and interior is old. Some fixture need to be remove as it’s no longer working (soap dispenser) Conclusion: Still thumbs up for the size of the room and the location. If the hotel decides to remodel the room, then expect price won’t be this affordable.
lovely hotel and service with a smile”
This is my second time to be staying at Taipei Fullerton Hotel - East. This time I also stayed for 5 nights and am very happy our room was upgraded. I liked the location because it is very accessible to market and food stores. Seven eleven and Family mart is just around the corner. The staff are all very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. I will surely stay at this hotel if ever I will be back to Taipei and I will surely recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends.
High standard of service”
I've stayed at the Fullerton East twice now, and while on the outside it may look in need of a refurbishment (it does), the thing that sets it apart - and will keep me coming back - is the service. The staff go out of their way to ensure that your needs are met, and are genuinely friendly and helpful. I arrived late with missing luggage - they followed up with the Airline repeatedly for me, and organised delivery to my room. They helped numerous times with translation instructions to visit a number of areas during my stay, and even helped me purchase stationary and technical items from a nearby shop so I could complete some work prior to an important business meeting. If you're a business traveller looking for a good value, centrally location, decent functional rooms that are clean but not glitzy, and are new to Taipei, then Taipei Fullerton is a good choice.
Nice find in Taipei”
It is along the long busy Nanjing East Road which is undergoing major roadworks to construct a subway line. From the outside it doesn't seem any different from many hotels in Taipei. It has a small simple lobby. The receptionists are friendly, efficient and spoke English. The room was the pleasant surprise - it was very modern and looks like it had been recently renovated. It was spacious, including the bathroom, with a rain-drop showerhead. Very good supply of toilet amenities (seems to be a common feature of Taipei hotels). And free internet connection. I didn't eat in the hotel during my stay. There are 2 popular hot-pot restaurants just around the corner from the hotel (turn left when you come out of hotel) and a modern 'clean' 24-hour spa and foot massage place if you turn right as you exit the hotel.
Perfect Location ”
This hotel sits at one of the best spots in Taipei - Convenient to MRT stations, food, and some good street food hideaway. I may have some little issue with the hotel like old décor, furniture and fixture may need some upgrading, but with the rate they offer, you can't ask for more. If they do upgrade this hotel, it will improve a lot aesthetically, but price may soar. Overall experience was great. Staff are accommodating. They accommodated my luggage for overnight when I have to travel to Kaoshiung for one day, and return to hotel to stay for another night. Highly recommended.
"Lovely hotel with a good business suite/location"”
The Bar Fridge had nothing convenient, so I bought all my beer, milk, snacks at the convenient store next door to the hotel. I went down the street and had my feet nails done; my hair washed and cut at the hairdressers across the street; I had my front teeth cleaned by the dentist across the street; I had two good meals down the street from the hotel; I bought snack junk food down the street; I bought and played the lottery tickets down the street around the corner and got myself familiarised with the environment and lifestyle in Taipei. I would come back to Taipei within four to five years time. I went to the "101 Tower" on the 19th August and found it fascinating and very enjoyable about how they built the building. The scenery was magnificant.
Nice hotel with big rooms and close to MRT”
The hotel offered us an upgrade to a suite, which was out of our expectation. The room was really spacious with great facilities. The areas around the hotel is pretty close to some major attractions. Numerous of food stalls and convenience stores nearby. Never will you get bored in Taipei staying in this hotel. Strongly recommended this for everyone. Just one drawback, the hotel is pretty old already so some of the furniture may not look very nice but who cares as long as the bed is perfectly comfortable with a working shower and bath tub.
Extremely comfortable and value for money”
The hotel room is slightly old. However, it is very clean, well kept, and extremely large for the price we paid. We had a very good night sleep in the hotel and regretted not staying there for more days. The service staff are extremely professional and courteous too. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Taipei.
exceeded my expectations”
I was very fortunate to be upgraded to a suite which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast did not meet my expectations. I definitely would stay at the Fullerton East again
Value for money ”
The hotel is outdated and like a lot of the reviews here, it does have a musky old smell. Think 70s 80s avocado bathroom suits (in this case brownish colour) and furnitures and carpets. Location: it was very convenient as buses and MRT is all within waking distance. The big plus is Songshan train station is only one MRT stop away. This save us time and money going via Taipei main station. Lots of eateries around the hotel. Roahe night market is one MRT stop away or 25 mins walk. Staff: could smile a bit more especially at the reception. Cleanliness: came back one night and the room is half clean. Value: we got upgraded to a business suite so pretty sweet deals for us.
High value of money with quality service”
Overall it was a good experience staying in this Hotel for our Christmas celebration. There was some minor issues that can improve though. First, the key card went wrong twice throughout our 5-night-stay, and we need the key card for lift and room access. Second, there were a few hairs left in the bath tub when we went in. Third, the housekeeping staff should be able to comprehend basic English. But appreciation should go to the duty manager, concierge and front office, as they are really friendly, helpful and with good smile. Besides, the hotel location maybe a bit far for those who want to take MRT transport, as it takes around 20 mins walk to the nearest Nanjing East Station. But there are a few bus stops (around 5 mins walk from hotel) that can take you to Ximen, Taipei station etc with high frequency schedules. Overall, this hotel is still recommended.
Great location and reasonable price hotel!”
At first i was hesitant to book this hotel as iv read a lot of bad reviews but to my surprise, the hotel is clean, staff are very helpful and friendly particularly MR.PAUL the bellman(i guess), great location and u will not get hungry as there is a lot of restaurants nearby. We were upgraded to a suite room as well but was unable to enjoy it as we are outside the room most of the time and back hotel just to sleep. To travelers who wants to save money from an expensive hotel but wants to have a good staycation, this hotel is highly recomended!
Lovely grand hotel with good sevice”
i really liked the good room service at this hotel--they always have a big smile and whatever you want ready for you. my elder daughter enjoyed the tasty food there--she said that it was plentiful and gave her, a picky eater, a good appetite. my younger daughter loved the comfortable slippers and large bathtub in which she would lie for hour after hour until someone told her to get out. all in all, my family and i loved this hotel and will come here again should we visit taipei again.
Location is good, for business travellers”
I stayed there for business, there are better hotels but this one is okay-ish. It wasn't too far from the convention center but transportation is not a problem in Taipei anyway. They could do more with an expanded room service menu although there are a couple of restaurants in the area so one can just go out to eat. Service is great as what can be expected in Taipei.
Satisfactory and courteous staffs”
However, if you're thinking of watching Taipei 101 New Year's fireworks from your room, this is not the hotel for you. The location is too far so when the first fireworks explode, there will be lots of smoke that will engulf the tower and you can't see the rest of the fireworks as it is blocked by the smoke. Best if you stay very near the tower. Also, like all other hotels, they will charge double for New Year's night.
Great customer service”
最少50個location is not very convenience. The hotel is located between two MRT stations almost same distance (walk about 15-20 mins) . Even the nearest famous 饒河 night mark needs to take 15mins walk. My room is on the 15 floor, based on their room description and my observation, the main business of this hotel is from China tourists, most China tourists stayed under 15 floor. (maybe based on the price) Overall, the hotel is great, service is great, nice room, I will recommend this hotel if the price is around NTD$3000, if price higher than> NTD$3500, I will consider another hotel.
Taipei 101 view!! Stunning”
I made special request for Taipei 101 and high floors, they arranged it for me! the view was stunning and my wife and I enjoyed it very much! Tough the walk from the hotel to the MRT Nanjing Shamin station can be easily 10 minutes and become worse if u pushing a large luggage, there were plenty of eateries and fast food at the main street and the back street. Next to a laundry shop at the back street there was a food stall preparing local Taiwanese style breakfast selling at very affordable price, should give it a try! On the check out day when we wanted to travel to another destination, they allowed us to drop our luggages with them and to collect them 2 days later, and it was completely free of charge. Appreciate it so much! TV was kept in a cupboard so have to open the cupboard in order to watch TV, and only can be watched from the bed and not other areas in the room because the cupboard door blocked it. TV channels mostly Taiwanese channels and very few English channels, sad.
Nice hotel”
It's a very nice hotel near to Taipei Arena (10 minutes walking distance) as my purpose for this time travelling there is for concert. Warm staff service, smooth check in/out. The room is very specious and clean. Highly recommended.
Exceptional”
It's the most valuable hotel in Taipei. I got upgrade often and everything is "hotel" standard, I only stay at this hotel every time i go to Taipei now
Comfortable stay and great spot to visit Songshan District!”
It was a comfortable stay and staffs were helpful! There's a wonderful Sichuan Hotpot restaurant within 5 mins walk, and it's great spot to stroll around and visit Songshan District!
