          The aircon and big bed.

the hotel was fairly pleasant. large open lobby to arrive to. the staff spoke minimal english. great price for beer. only problem is it was right above a strip joint which played booming music until 2-3am. we were in hat yai really only as a stopping off point between leaving malaysia and travelling to the gulf of thailand. from this perspective it was fine. there was no dining option here.

          Cheap

We booked this hotel as it was the only place available in our price range. This hotel did the job for us as we were only in town for one night before continuing into Thailand. The Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from train station or 5 minute by tuk tuk. Its based in a very busy street with night markets until early hours of the morning, this is good for food but not good for sleeping. The hotel is what you expect for what you pay, the rooms are big, not very clean and the squat toilet is just partitioned off. I would only recommend this hotel if you are stuck for somewhere to sleep like us, however don't expect to sleep too much as the walls are like paper.

Just good enough for sleep if other hotels are fully booked. Bit nouse by the dicso downstair and unsleep city of Hatyai outside the window. Cheap enough for the value of the stay. If other hotel full, this will be your last choice... Very old style of internal structure, even the ceiling fan is using old school type of speed selector. The staff there also as old as the hotel itself.

          Large room with balcony

Noisy air-con. Very noisy bar downstairs/next door playing cheesy karaoke music. We could literally feel the bass coming through the floor from our bed until at least 2am (we stayed on a tuesday night). Barely no protection from street noise either. This hotel would be OK for people on a budget who wish to stay out late, but not if you want an early night or quiet night in.

Quite a dodgy hotel, slightly below average in term of cleanliness. Location wise also not that strategic if your aim is to do shopping. the hotel is generally in need of sprucing up. the room given to me was dilapidated. there was a big hole in the ceiling board, the wall-lamps above the bed were not working and some minor switches were also not working. the bathroom was not equiped with hot water but given the warm weather in hatyai, hot water was not necessary. generally, the hotel has seen better days. cleanliness was acceptable. no cockcroaches but some ants were noticed but they did not bother me.

          Good location

The hotel is old and not being well maintenance. However, there are good food around for your dinner. It is near to city and car park is limited.

          budget hotel”

          friendly boss

The pictures displayed online are very different from the room which i checked into. The toilet was manual flushing, and the plumbing of the sink was faulty, as everything i turned on the tap, water would gush out from the bathroom floor and the room would smell of sewerage. No heater in the toilet, lightings in the room were not working properly all the time. Very old and dusty furnitures(wardrobe & dresser). Could hardly see myself in the weathered mirror. The plus side is that the owner is really friendly and ever ready to offer his assistance. The hotel is in dire need to renovate/ refurbish.
