Beautiful , peaceful oasis in Takachiho”
This Ryokan is in a lovely location on the outskirts of Takachiho and with easy access to the Takachiho Gorge and shrine. The property is beautiful with great attention to detail. The private Onsen attached to each room make this very special The food is amazing. Traditional, beautifully presented , freshly prepared meals are absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and professional and couldn’t do enough to help make our stay truly special Thank you to everyone

Staff are excellent, good service and very nice. Onsen in the room is good. The room is clean and large, the food (takachiho beef) is delicious, but the location is a bit difficult to find. Overall is a very good hotel.

Private/Relaxing & Great Attention to Details for Service”
The food was fantastic, very delicately made with local fresh ingredients. Service and attentiveness of the staff was immaculate. The onsen water is not natural hot spring but heated water from the mountain but it is just as good!

Exactly What We Were Looking For”
Stayed in the Japanese Western Style Room with private bath. Exactly what we were looking for in the Takachiho area. Breakfast and dinner are multi portion traditional Japanese dishes. We found them to be plenty of food for the meals. Two of the the staff members spoke good English, but everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Shuttle for the nightly kagura dance (nearby) and to the bus center was provided. Leave yourself time to enjoy your room!

Kamigakure a Beautiful Ryokan”
My husband and I arrived at Kamigakure during Typhoon Trami. Takachiho was on the outer edge of the typhoon so the weather was bad but at least not dangerous. As we drove into the car park the staff appeared with umbrellas and a trolley for our luggage. We had a traditional Japanese style room that was enormous, the bathroom was divided in 2 with a separated bathing area with a large Japanese style soaking bath as well as a shower which over looked our private garden. Due to the weather everyone else had cancelled so instead of serving dinner in the dining room which we expected and were requested to attend at 6.30, the staff set up a small private dining room for us. The room over looked a garden and was beautifully decorated. The owner served us dinner and explained each course, all 11. We also had breakfast in the small dining room all 8 courses. The whole place is beautiful. All staff speak English, are friendly, welcoming and make you feel special.

Exceptional! Classy Ryokan”
Next to Takachiho gorge, the staff welcomes you like kings. The western rooms are nicely decorated, with a kotatsu table. You get a set of origamis from the ladies who set the room, local delicacies along with the tea, a nice garden full of tulips, sake in the hot bath with view of the garden and a lot of shisheido lotions for men and women for your after hot bath! Dinner is more than 10 dishes, very traditional and breakfast is all the same. The staff accompanies you and bow until you leave. Excellent stay!

I stayed here for one night, and it was a little far from the takachiho bus center. But the waiter was very friendly and tried to using the english to introduce the whole environment. The dishes were fresh and has unique flavor. Also the Takachiho's beef was very delicious. I will come to here next time, maybe with my family :)

Sato-san was very prompt and helpful with my queries before my stay. He and his staff were very welcoming and excellent in service. We felt the ryokan was thoughtfully designed for comfort, convenience and enjoyment of guests down to the details. Also, the food was very delicious. Really enjoyed my stay and would have loved to stay longer.

The premise is located at a very secluded location which is perfect for a total getaway from the city. The meal is excellent as expected. Appreciated the help of a staff who can speak American English which made me feel home.

まずスタッフの方々の笑顔とサービスが今までで一番良かったです。 そして部屋は綺麗でこたつまでありました。まるで家にいるような気分になり、とても癒されました。 強いて言えば、お風呂が温泉でないことが残念なくらいです。 食事もどれも美味しく、お腹いっぱいなのに全て食べてしまいたした。 高千穂峡までは車ですぐでした。 また機会があれば宿泊したいと思います。
