      Highlight of our trip!”

      Our stay at Takimi Onsen was a highlight of our trip. The hosts are a very warm and friendly couple who kale the stay very comfortable. You have the full inn to yourself including the private outdoor Onsen which was spectacular, overlooking a waterfall. It was snowing when we were there which added to the beauty. We bathed at sunset and again in the morning before check out. The food was also outstanding. We had a full array of beef, boar, tempura, sashimi, vegetables and a delicious miso based soup with veggies. We cooked the meats and vegetables ourselves over a charcoal grill which was a fun experience too. The hosts kindly pick you up and drop you off at the nearest train station (Nagiso). We will be recommending this inn to all our friends who travel to Japan!
