Great place to relax and kick back”
The Tamarina Resort is a great place to just forget the busy world of Bangkok. Whether a bungalow or room in the small hotel, accomodations are clean and fresh and private. Staff is friendly and helpful and attentive to detail. Breakfast is served at your room, not in a buffet, catlle herd atmosphere. More conveniently located if you have a car, but numerous public transportation is avaiable. Overall a great place to stay. Will definitely return...
Peaceful and comfortable”
we enjoyed being at the Tamarina for the peace away from Bangkok. the gardens and pool are well laid out and beautiful. The only little problem is the staff have absolutely no knowledge of English..I did not really mind but some people may find that difficult. Breakfast is included, but no other meals are available and it is difficult to get to from the airport inBangkok..generally 1400 Thai Bhat for a taxi. Once there a haven and there are local restaurants inteh main road and a 7 Eleven for provisions. Very charming owner and teh staff are adorable even if they do not speak anything other than Thai or their mother tongue...Laos, Burma, Cambodia.... Do not expect the beach to be anything like the beaches of Southern Thailand...the water is brown and dirty..but the staff at teh Tamarina clean teh beach area each morning..the pool makes up for lack of beach and has the view of the bay and oyster beds.
Natural atmosphere resort”
We set up a trip on vacation to Ang-sila and found this resort on Agoda website. After reviewing, we decided to stay hear. The location is on the seashore and feel very nice. But the beach is all of rocks and cannot swim. The ones who like the natural style will love it. However, the room is a little small. The resort suround by a lot of seafood restaurant for your choice.
Getaway for a relaxed, laid-back evening ”
Tamarina is pretty far off from the hustle-bustle of si racha / chon buri. Not easy to find it, Google maps have no freaking idea. Anyways, once you reach in here, it's all peace. Lots of greenery, quiet & relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are small with 1 regular bed, a join bath & loo. With fridge, cupboard, & TV, we felt the room very congested at times. Still, a sitting area outside the room, facing the splashing sea waters & cool breeze blowing in face, makes up for room space. Don't expect any luxury here. There is no phone in room to call front desk, no restaurant inside the hotel so need to bring food, n drinks from outside, & no kitchen / oven. If you have the supplies, then just sit back & relax watching the waters, listening to the nature, & having a hearty laugh. Though, each room / cabin is decently spaced out, don't expect any security / privacy like in other hotels, should you chose to sit out. Anybody can walk up across. You can usually listen to what's going on in next room. Also, the door to the room is of glass & curtains. Not great but works. Remember to close both - the door and the curtains. Overall, recommended for 1-2 night stay, but not more, unless they bring in food services, & do something about privacy.
Seaside location, small rooms but relaxed stay”
Stayed at Tamarina for the second time. Requested for the same superior seafront room. Room is small but the relaxed atmosphere makes it worth spending the time here. They still don't have any restaurant inside the hotel and the wireless internet is as usual weak signal, both of which are not significant issues. You can go out & there are a few restaurants near by & a sea food market too. Tamarina is a good choice for having a laid back, holiday around nature.
beautiful views”
the tamarina is about halfway between sirracha and bangseen very close to the fantastic chinese temple. There are only about twelve rooms all with beautiful sea-views.The rooms are basic but tastefully decorated. If you have no transport it may well be a problem as the resort is mid-way between the afore mentioned towns, however the views over the bay, especially in the evening, are memorable
Nice quiet place ”
Small resort with very nice, lovely garden and view of Sammook mountain. Very peaceful place, quiet, a lot of privacy. There’s no wifi at our bungalow. There is a rocky beach in the front with a lot of garbages which will be nice if they can take care of it. All in all we love it and will get back again.
nice place”
I got a front sea view and it was a very nice small resort. I do love the room and swimming pool also the view. But the beach be full of the plastic scrap and others. I really love the view and watching the sunset but if they could keep it clean, Perfectly!!
Nice little family style resort”
the resort is a small family " home stay " style resort that has a lot of charm and offers excellent service. staff was nice and agreable. swimming pool view was a nice touch. dont go there for the beach as it's mangrove beach so it's trees and stones down there.... perfect for a weekend run away from bangkok...
private sea front”
quiet hotel in quiet area in busy town (between bangsan and chonburi) there are a lot of seafood restuarant, 5 minutes by car. hard to find where the hotel is, better confirm by telephone. (agoda shown wrong telephone number, should reconfirm with customer service)
The place that I will come back again and again.”
I love this place. It is natural and private. The room is quite small and the bed is quite high for a short people like me. The beach is natural and quiet but could not swim. It's very near BKK with reasonable price. Overall, I love it and will come again.
Nice small hotel”
i went to this hotel for a relax day trip. the hotel has a very nice environment, nice garden, small pool, good sea view (can't swim). the room is small but nice and clean. this hotel only have 9 rooms. i stay at the room on the 2nd floor which can see sea view from the balcony. this hotel is suitable for a couple that would like to spend time together. it's not far from bangkok.
Lovely and quiet hotel”
this hotel was really difficult to find. it's not in the center, it's close to the main road, but in a smaller street (it's just accross the chinese temple). this hotel is really calm, the staff is really kind. the problem is there is only one person speaking english. they are really helpful. and the rooms are really great.
Hidden small hotel with all sea view rooms”
- Booked 1 night for the same day (Sat) for thb 2K including taxes. - Very close to Bangkok (less than 100km). - Small scale hotel with very quiet guests (can even manage to have the pool for yourself as people quietly wait for their turn). - Small room but you focus more on the scenery. - Small terrace with a long bench for naps and bamboo table for meals (American Breakfast served at your convenience). - Wifi was not working when we were there. - TV has few local channels but who cares with this view. - Bed is a bit rough. - 2 bed sheets covering an old style blanket (I don't like those as I move a lot at night and you en up with a rather rough blanket on your face and not so hygineic). - Forget swimming in the sea as it is reserved for shells with all those rocks. - Beach (less than 80 meters large) should be cleant from plastic bottles and other junks but not a big deal. - Nearby restaurant within a walking distance (driving there is easy though).
nice place”
nice place and private for us to stay and lovely and friendly dogs in resort //LOVE THEM
Bad piont of on-line reservation.”
We don't know what the hotel staff will arrange for us, especially choosing a room. Though, the resort has only 9 rooms for the whole resort, and there were the other 5 rooms available. We want to move to equivalent room for a better view; however, the staff did not sincerely communicate to us. I felt that the staff was not enthusiastic to serve us. The other issue is no first aid available for visitors because my younger one was falled down on steps to the pool but no staff helped us taking care of my child, even the first-aid kit for us.
Very nice small sea front resort.”
Very lovely resort with only 8 rooms all facing the sea. The beach isn't suitable for swimming but there is a pool to dip in. Breakfast is served every morning on your balcony. The staffs are very nice and friendly.
Great location in Bang Saen, very natural.”
I love this hote, not far from Bangkok,we can see the sea and hear the ripple from our bed .The price is acceptable (especialy booking through agoda).Good for a couple.Close to many seafood restaurants(could traving with car will more conveniance).Breakfast is in set, serve in the room, not much but it okay to us.
A lovely beach front resort”
I stayed at a beach-front cottage which I can see sunrise from bed in the morning. Room and restroom is clean and having standard facilities provided. There's a small balcony in front of the room with bamboo-table & chairs. Breakfast will be served upon call to your room which is nice. This place is very private and cozy. I'd definitely come back to this hotel again.
Tiny resort on the beach”
A few bungalows right on a rocky beach with a pool, a perfect place for a short stay. Staff don’t speak English so you have to deal with it. I didnt rate better because of 2 small things that I would suggest changing: 1. There is no chair around the pool whereas it would be nice sunbathing or looking at beautiful sunset 2. The beach is really too dirty. I know this part of the gulf is bringing a lot of stuff, but you have to clean!
