Nice little family style resort”
the resort is a small family " home stay " style resort that has a lot of charm and offers excellent service. staff was nice and agreable. swimming pool view was a nice touch. dont go there for the beach as it's mangrove beach so it's trees and stones down there.... perfect for a weekend run away from bangkok...
I got a front sea view and it was a very nice small resort. I do love the room and swimming pool also the view. But the beach be full of the plastic scrap and others. I really love the view and watching the sunset but if they could keep it clean, Perfectly!!
Great location in Bang Saen, very natural.”
I love this hote, not far from Bangkok,we can see the sea and hear the ripple from our bed .The price is acceptable (especialy booking through agoda).Good for a couple.Close to many seafood restaurants(could traving with car will more conveniance).Breakfast is in set, serve in the room, not much but it okay to us.
Peaceful and comfortable”
we enjoyed being at the Tamarina for the peace away from Bangkok. the gardens and pool are well laid out and beautiful. The only little problem is the staff have absolutely no knowledge of English..I did not really mind but some people may find that difficult. Breakfast is included, but no other meals are available and it is difficult to get to from the airport inBangkok..generally 1400 Thai Bhat for a taxi. Once there a haven and there are local restaurants inteh main road and a 7 Eleven for provisions. Very charming owner and teh staff are adorable even if they do not speak anything other than Thai or their mother tongue...Laos, Burma, Cambodia.... Do not expect the beach to be anything like the beaches of Southern Thailand...the water is brown and dirty..but the staff at teh Tamarina clean teh beach area each morning..the pool makes up for lack of beach and has the view of the bay and oyster beds.
private sea front”
quiet hotel in quiet area in busy town (between bangsan and chonburi) there are a lot of seafood restuarant, 5 minutes by car. hard to find where the hotel is, better confirm by telephone. (agoda shown wrong telephone number, should reconfirm with customer service)
The place that I will come back again and again.”
I love this place. It is natural and private. The room is quite small and the bed is quite high for a short people like me. The beach is natural and quiet but could not swim. It's very near BKK with reasonable price. Overall, I love it and will come again.
Great Location But Inadequate Facilities”
Location of Resort is right at the end of a soi. The room is clean and comfortable but rather small for 2 persons. The room faces the ocean and there is a swimming pool which size is just nice for a quick dip as the sea water is definitely unsuitable for any swimming. Internet is inaccessible from the room and guest has to head for the lobby counter to use the wireless Internet. Breakfast is small, 2 slices of bread, small serving of fruits, coffee or tea or juice and a omelette which are served in the room. There is are dining facilities so one has to head out to local eating places at the main road.
the tamarina is about halfway between sirracha and bangseen very close to the fantastic chinese temple. There are only about twelve rooms all with beautiful sea-views.The rooms are basic but tastefully decorated. If you have no transport it may well be a problem as the resort is mid-way between the afore mentioned towns, however the views over the bay, especially in the evening, are memorable
Very nice small sea front resort.”
Very lovely resort with only 8 rooms all facing the sea. The beach isn't suitable for swimming but there is a pool to dip in. Breakfast is served every morning on your balcony. The staffs are very nice and friendly.
Getaway for a relaxed, laid-back evening ”
Tamarina is pretty far off from the hustle-bustle of si racha / chon buri. Not easy to find it, Google maps have no freaking idea. Anyways, once you reach in here, it's all peace. Lots of greenery, quiet & relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are small with 1 regular bed, a join bath & loo. With fridge, cupboard, & TV, we felt the room very congested at times. Still, a sitting area outside the room, facing the splashing sea waters & cool breeze blowing in face, makes up for room space. Don't expect any luxury here. There is no phone in room to call front desk, no restaurant inside the hotel so need to bring food, n drinks from outside, & no kitchen / oven. If you have the supplies, then just sit back & relax watching the waters, listening to the nature, & having a hearty laugh. Though, each room / cabin is decently spaced out, don't expect any security / privacy like in other hotels, should you chose to sit out. Anybody can walk up across. You can usually listen to what's going on in next room. Also, the door to the room is of glass & curtains. Not great but works. Remember to close both - the door and the curtains. Overall, recommended for 1-2 night stay, but not more, unless they bring in food services, & do something about privacy.
Very quiet and far from action”
very quiet and private, perfect for a few nights with good company. however the hotel dont have internet, they dont have shuttle services and its hard to find taxi on the main road 6-8 minutes walk from the hotel. the evenings with sun set and the pool outside your room is the thing with this resort.
A lovely beach front resort”
I stayed at a beach-front cottage which I can see sunrise from bed in the morning. Room and restroom is clean and having standard facilities provided. There's a small balcony in front of the room with bamboo-table & chairs. Breakfast will be served upon call to your room which is nice. This place is very private and cozy. I'd definitely come back to this hotel again.
Beautiful resort ”
Very nice hotel, clean and peaceful. But if you have work or business that need to use the Internet you might find it frustration because it doesn't work at all. The stuff very helpful if you want to order some food to hotel and have a little party with you family. Breakfast serve in the balcony in front of your room when you ready.
Hidden gems ”
Hidden gem close to Bangkok here's a place to recharge when you have brief time you need when busy life in the city wears you out. Closer to fresh sea food pier and historic seaside village. The premise is adorned with lush green free form garden, with a view of a cove beach of Bangsaen and cool breeze all day.
Scenic Location in a good area, a 'couples' hotel”
tucked away in a private garden by the sea, beautiful sunsets over looking a bay. quite private, every room has a view, i guess only 12 rooms, a small and intimate hotel. the pool was good too, a good place to unwind and enjoy the sunset. the wooden walkways are not ideal for young children or the elderly. i booked very late, within an hour and a half of check in (felt spontaneous, and the agoda app. works well). the map details are completely wrong, needs to be updated!!!! checked out, before breakfast was served, so cannot comment on food and service.
Nice small hotel”
i went to this hotel for a relax day trip. the hotel has a very nice environment, nice garden, small pool, good sea view (can't swim). the room is small but nice and clean. this hotel only have 9 rooms. i stay at the room on the 2nd floor which can see sea view from the balcony. this hotel is suitable for a couple that would like to spend time together. it's not far from bangkok.
Attractive small hotel with good rooms”
Only two metres of sand before a rocky and unappealing shoreline. Lovely to look at as long as you don't want to swim or mess about in the sea. Terrific garden. No food or meals service after breakfast. Very good, small pool, pleasant service. The general locality is not very attractive, but some good restaurants nearby. Roads in Bang Saen used as racing track and you can here the shriek of high-powered motors sometimes.
Great place to relax and kick back”
The Tamarina Resort is a great place to just forget the busy world of Bangkok. Whether a bungalow or room in the small hotel, accomodations are clean and fresh and private. Staff is friendly and helpful and attentive to detail. Breakfast is served at your room, not in a buffet, catlle herd atmosphere. More conveniently located if you have a car, but numerous public transportation is avaiable. Overall a great place to stay. Will definitely return...
Lovely and quiet hotel”
this hotel was really difficult to find. it's not in the center, it's close to the main road, but in a smaller street (it's just accross the chinese temple). this hotel is really calm, the staff is really kind. the problem is there is only one person speaking english. they are really helpful. and the rooms are really great.
Nice little hotel”
This little place is rather hard to find, especially because the location map on agoda.com and their own entry on google maps is NOT correct. Actually it is just opposite to the Thepsathit Phra Kiti Chalerm Chinese Shrine. Found the place after some asking around (one must speak Thai though) and we where surprised how quiet an secluded the hotel is. Friendly staff did welcome us. We did stay on the second floor which offered some stunning view over the bay. Rooms are basic but clean. The place however does NOT have an own restaurant or offers other services. To get something to eat one can walk to a number of good and reasonable sea food restaurants though. Do not expect to be able to go for a swim in the sea as the bay is full of rocks covered with muscles and the water is muddy and shallow. A short drive to Bang Saeng Beach however will solve that problem.
