"Our stay was comfortable but I wouldn't stay here again. You can find comparable accommodation for cheaper close by. Extra charges like $9.95 per day for Internet were surprising and ridiculous. I've stayed in $8 hostels that manage to offer wifi for free!"

"I was traveling for business and was spare very little time for sightseeing. The location is right across the river from the University of Tampa. The riverwalk is also close enough so on those odd nights that I actually have time to myself, the walk itself is rather pleasant. The bar didn't serve any snacks even after buying a few beers. The gym has the bare minimum equipments. A couple of treadmills, some free weights, and a bike machine. For a business trip, it suited me just fine."

"First time ever in Tampa I stayed at the Floridian due to its good location in Downtown Tampa. I had chosen the Floridian for 2 nights initially. Rooms are large, but very old fashioned and feel old. A smell of mold was in the air upon entering. The WORST aspect though, I woke up in the morning as I felt something crawling on my back. Upon switching on the lights, I found about 20 insects all over the bed which I believe were termites. Under the bed and next to the wooden cupboards one could find hills of frass which is unbelievable these went unnoted to the staff. I complained to the front-desk which claimed they had never seen this before, which sounds hard to believe to me. They offered not to charge me for the night, but I also asked to cancel my second night. Overall, truly bad experience due to a termite infested room. I changed to a modern hotel for the last night and probably stay away from such old hotels going forward."
