The Best Place to stay in Boracay”
Me and Girlfriend decided to stay here to celebrate our 5th anniversary which was a good choice since this location was away from the stations to have a more relaxed stay in Boracay. Upon checking-in they gave us a very refreshing welcome drink perfect from that long journey. The Rooms were big and even had a kitchen, living area, and a dining room not to mention the bedroom itself. The design of their room had a modern style which I really liked. I then asked the General Manager if the room we booked had a bathtub since that was what I saw in some pictures but he told me that there was none in our room. To my Surprise he told me that since one of their rooms were vacant he will upgrade our room for free just for 1 night. And to shock and left me literally speechless, he booked us at the Sky Blue room which was the most expensive room on the top most floor of the hotel that had the best view of Boracay. They really can make your stay extra special I certainly had a blast staying here. On the day of our Anniversary we transferred back to our room that was filled with rose petals and they even gave us complimentary wine and fruits to celebrate. I really felt blessed and was very thankful for the kind of people/staff of this hotel. No words can express how happy our stay was here and I am definitely coming back. To Sir Archie and all the staff of Tanawin Resort and Luxury Apartments a very big THANK YOU for making our stay the best. God bless always and hope to see you again soon! :)

Luxurious and comfortable stay with a great view”
Our stay at the Tanawin Resort was very pleasant. We shared our accommodation with four other people (6 total) and there was more than enough space for everyone. The rooms were all equipped with individual AC units and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. Their was an amazing view of Bulabog beach and the surrounding area. The staff was always very pleasant and accommodating. The resort is about a 15 minute ride to D Mall (White Beach) and about a 25 minute ride from the boat station. It takes about 3 minutes going downhill to get to Bulabog beach (which is not nearly as nice as Puka Shell or White beach in my opinion ... you can walk to White Beach from Bulabog in about 15 minutes or so). This is not really the place for people who are looking for a wild nightlife as there are more bars rather than clubs in Bulabog and it would be a decent trike ride back (though it is possible).

Awesome place to stay in Boracay”
My family (3 older children and 2 young children) stayed here for 1 night on our last day in Boracay last April 22. First of all, I would like to commend their staff. They welcomed us with delicious drinks and they were very, very accommodating. I have not stayed at a hotel that welcomed us like that. So with the welcoming alone, I knew we were going to have a great stay at this amazing place. The 2-bedroom unit where we stayed at was very spacious and the minimalist design was fantastic! I loved the rattan furniture and the simplicity of their interiors. The airy feeling of the unit is perfect for its view. I also loved the kitchen and dining area. My daughter is a culinary student so she was able to showcase her cooking skills to us by cooking delicious meals through the complete utensils and equipment in the kitchen. We had a lovely dinner. And lastly, their service was amazing. Not only were they able to attend to our needs quickly, they were also very polite and approachable. Almost all their staff greeted me with smiles whenever I see them during my stay at the Tanawin Luxury Apartments. I have already referred this place to my friends and relatives, and I cannot wait to go back! I will definitely stay here every time I plan go to Boracay. Thank you to the staff of Tanawin for making our stay there very comfortable.

Modern and beautiful property with great staff”
I took a chance booking at Tanawin, relying on traveler's reviews and pictures. The place did not disappoint. It is gorgeous and passed my meticulous and high standard. My husband and kids were smiling from ear to ear when we opened the door to the apartment. After a disappointing trip with Airphil and the transfers from Caticlan to Jetty Port to D'Mall to catch the complimentary shuttle (i opted to do the transfers on my own to economize), this apartment made it all worth it. Away from the hustle and bustle of White Beach, this resort is like a piece of heaven. Our apartment overlooked the pool and golf course with partial views of Bulabog and White Beach on both sides. The staff are friendly and served with a smile. All of our dirty dishes, pots and pans were washed daily. Only two complaints, the tv in our tub was not fixed on time because the part had to be imported, and if you are a light sleeper like me, you may be awakened by the early sounds of roosters. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this property. In fact, my son misses it already.

Lovely Apartments and Fantastic Service!”
my boyfriend and i stayed here in june 2012. we were very impressed with our room. everything was clean and tidy. it was very spacious and affordable. the service was fantastic!!! they made us feel welcomed and comfortable at all times. everyone was very helpful and always provided service with a smile. i highly recommend this hotel! tanawin has an amazing rooftop bar overlooking the whole boracay! really great view!!! thank you tanawin resort & luxury apartments!!! we enjoyed staying here and we will be back again soon!

A Luxury Home Away From Home”
we just came back from tanawin resort. this is not our first time to boracay, we've stayed at the white beach before. it was ok, a bit noisy and quite crowded. the stay in tanawin this time gave us complete privacy and total relaxation. the staff were friendly and took care of our needs with a smile all the time throughout our stay there. there's a shuttle every hour to the white beach and it is pretty punctual. we booked a 1 bedroom apartment but were given a free upgrade to the 2 bedroom deluxe apt on our last night and it had a jacuzzi. but the most brilliant thing was the view from the balcony of our 2 bedroom apt. enjoyed dipping in the pool day n night. the view from the terrace during sunset is breathtaking..a very romantic resort for couples and families. the kitchenette is well equipped, so we enjoyed cooking our own meals daily. will definitely come back again!

Almost top location of boracay with amazing view. ”
The penthouse of the Tanawin is a wonderful accommodation that has amazing view, spacious and comfortable space, excellent breakfast and the service always with lovely smile. The penthouse of the Tanawin is almost TOP place of Boracay that we totally fall in love with the ocean view and the sunrise when we stay there during from 10/9 to 10/12. You should trade-off your choice of beach resort or mountain resort which has different view and convenient while you planning with your itinerary. Disadvantage: 10 minutes distance from Dmall’s Budget mart to Tanawin, but that’s pieces of cake, Tanawin is worthy to wait.

Friendly service and nice environment”
tanawin is quite far away from the jetty, and it's up the hill. so normal tricycle can't make it. if you're travelling in group, try to bargain for a good price. if you are solo traveller, try to pre-arrange transport with the hotel, or share cost with other tourist who're going the same way. i paid 450 pessos for the trip and that was my biggest regret. the studio apartment interior is fabulous. besides free wi-fi and satellite tv, kitchenwares are also provided for those who'd like to prepare their own dinner, which is not a bad idea because it's quite remote from d'mall. you'll gain a bird's eye view of the island from the hotel swimming pool. a good spot to laze around for afternoon sun-tan and book reading. the hotel food is reasonably cheap and yummy, not to mention very cheap local beer to go with the already fantastic scene. what's missing is the clean white beach, as the beach at this side of the island isn't as impressive. but give and take. if you prefer some quiet time and getaway from the busy crowd, this is the place. there's free shuttle to town every hour if you need to shop. otherwise the hotel food and the stalls nearby are sufficient, at least for myself.

Great People ”
Boracay, unfortunately, is not the paradise that it has been touted to be. Maybe 10 or so years ago before the influx of crowds destroyed its pristine nature. That's what happens with hype, sadly. What used to be an island paradise with a long stretch of beach is now nothing but a long, crowded, polluted stretch of restaurants, stores, street vendors, musicians. Peace and quiet is unheard of. From the jetty alone, what would normally take 10-15 minutes car ride now takes 45 minutes due to heavy foot traffic, hundreds of tricycles, and all the cars packed into this small island. The legions of tourists caused an inundation of workers to move into the island to meet the tourist needs. It is a dusty and sweaty ride if you so happen to get an un-airconditioned transfer. PROS of Tanawin: -the hospitable, friendly staff typical of the Philippines -management refunded us half of our stay due to construction which they did not forewarn us about (see CONS) -did I mention the hospitable, friendly staff typical of the Philippines? CONS of Tanawin: -pool and landscape construction that prevented us from using the pool. When there isn't much to do at the resort due to its lack of beach, one would think to have the pool ready at its peak week. Workers were smoking, loud machinery and sawing and terrible fumes from paint, etc. -food left a lot to be desired -dirty towels, stained sheets and drapes CONS not the fault of Tanawin: -we travel extensively worldwide and a few guests shocked us. There were a big group of Chinese tourists (8 adults and two kids). We had never encountered anyone so loud and so obnoxious in our lives. They screamed to one another at all times and kept on late into the evening. For a small resort, you can hear everything. Oh, and they spit their phlegm into the pool. And their 8 year old and 10 year old kids swam buck naked.

5 Star hotel, Friendly staff and Big rooms”
We really enjoyed our stay here at Tanawin. The staff were very friendly and made us orange juice on check in, they also gave us towels to dry ourselves as we got wet by the rain on our way there(we caught a motor tricycle). The rooms were very big and spacious, and very modern. Top deck bar/restuarant had breathe taking views, we had breakfast there each morning and we had a beautiful relaxing time. The only thing is that the hotel is a little far from the beach and all the noise Boracay would usually be, but the hotel had a free shuttle bus that departs the hotel every hour that takes you the beach and all the noise and it also comes to the main mall to pick you up, back to the hotel. The driver was extrememly nice to drive us to our next hotel on the island with all our luggage on our last day, no charge.

Fantastic hotel up in the hill, great rooms”
I didn't know about Tanawin initially and it happened to have a promotion, but after I stayed there for 4 days with my whole family. I really feel I made a very good choice to choose Tanawin. The CEO of the hotel, Gregory, is a very nice person with great passion to build provide best of the best hotel he could and he has convinced me also. The have shuttle every one hour to the beach. My suite is great and my family all feel great on the room conditions and also the design of the hotel. It is really luxury. It is definitely for people wants to enjoy family life or honey moon. It is so different from the traditional business hotel that I had ever been to. Overall, I give 9 to Tanawin.

Really enjoyed the stay at Tanawin”
My parents and I really enjoyed our vacation at Boracay and Tanawin certainly contributed to the satisfaction. The staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and spacious. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook great seafood meals in the apt. The ocean view right outside the living room storm window is breathtaking. I was a little concerned about the availability of hot water for shower before I traveled, but it turned out fine. It is a little distant from the white beach but it wasn't much of an issue thanks to the shuttle bus service. Overall, it was very nice experience staying at Tanawin.

Hotel and Service great - Noise not great!”
We stayed at Tanawin for the first 7 nights of our honeymoon as we wanted to be in a quiet location with a view. The 1 bedroom apartment was great - spacious, clean and modern. For the last 3 nights we were upgraded to a 2bedroom which was much bigger than we needed but lovely with great views out towards Panay. The pool and bar were lovely and during our stay we had the pool to ourselves a couple of times and most times there were sun loungers available when we wanted them. Lovely eating breakfast out on the terrace in the morning in the shade with fantastic views over the golf course out to the sea. The staff were all very friendly and helpful when we needed any assistance. Our only complaint was the construction noise from the construction of the top floor apartment. For the last few days of our stay there was anglegrinder noise all during the day and early evening which kind of ruins the serenity of lying by the otherwise very relaxing pool. We tended to hang out in the room on these days. I would confirm the construction was finished before staying (it was nearing completion when we were there). The only other complaint was an American guy who seemed to be the owner who was quite loud and obnoxious and harassing of the female staff. Not what I need to witness on my holiday! Overall I would recommend Tanawin to anyone wanting to be away from the main action in a hillside retreat.

Staying at Tanawin is like having your own apartment in Boracay. It's not across the street from the beach, but in a quiet area of the island. The hotel has a free shuttle to D'Mall so you get the best of both worlds. We got a penthouse with lots of space and awesome views which you will never get if you stay in White Beach. The hotel manager is a very friendly and accommodating person, so you can be sure you will enjoy your stay. On top of it, you have a great rooftop bar with a 360 degree view of the island, perfect to watch the sunset (or sunrise if you feel waking up at 5am). I definitely recommend this place.

we went to tanawin after staying at a "resort" on the main beach which was a huge disappointment. tanawin, on the other hand, fulfilled every one of our desires after 2 weeks of backpacking through dingy places in the philippines. huge comfy rooms, nice pool, friendly and welcoming staff, not to mention a stunning view. it was the same price as the above mentioned disappointment "resort" and by far exceeded it in quality.

Tanawin has best kind person. I`m visted more 50 hotel, but tanawin staff is best. Tanawin has nice view and kitchen. Rooptop has swimpool. Swimpool is small but has nice view and many sunbed. Tanawin room is very clean. Tanawin only waekness is location but every time (7am~12am) run suttle bus so you will not feel uncompotable and infront of tanawin has small shop. If you want take a rest Tanawin is best choice i thought.

Lovely view of mountain but inconvenice ”
Tanawin is located on the top of mountain, thus its own very good view to see whole island. Room is also stylish and clean. Resort shuttle bus is available every hour from Tanawin to D'mall. generally speaking, its a good hotel to stay in Boracay if you were not care inconvenience for walking, playing on the beach or shopping and eating. However, the resort is doing renovation now and Tanawin manager gave us discount for ordering food and breakfast, good service.

Perfect stay , WONDERFUL staff ”
Stayed at Tanawin from 31aug-3sep . The good part : it's a wonderful place to stay at . The view (Pool Suite)from my room was amazing , the staff was amazing, the food was amazing everything is just so nice n relax over there . But too bad the roof top bar is under renovation but we did climb up just to see see , the view from the roof top bar actually overlook the sea so I believe that once the renovation is completed it will definitely be a very nice place to chill out . The bad part : the resort got no lift , so if u are staying at the higest floor (4th floor if I'm not wrong ) u will have to climb all the way up . And also the hotel towel looks abit old . And the water pressure is abit small. But overall it's still a nice place to stay at which.
