Great Location, Walking Distance to Beach, Away from the Noise”
We managed to get rooms on a weekday for approximately 800 THB per night, which was great value for money given the location. Walking distance to the railway station, the beach, night market and fast food joints. Monkey mountain could be reached via a 20 THB songtheaw ride, and the prevalence of multiple travel agents allowed us to ask around and compare prices to further locations. There is also a makeshift "terminal" nearby to catch the minivan back to BKK Victory Monument for 180 THB, with vans departing hourly (beats hiring a private vehicle). While the hotel may be old, the staff kept the room clean and housekeeping services were excellent. Shower cubicles with good water pressure appeared to have been newly built to address the poor water pressure in the bathtub. It should be noted that it may take a little while for hot water, as the hotel appears to use a centralized heating system. Though close to the city center, the quiet location meant that we weren't disturbed by music from the bars in the Hilton area. Hua Hin has a really nice laid back vibe which has allowed it to be spared from the plague of noise and sleaze observed in other TH beach areas, and I hope it stays that way.
hotel central of town”
Tanawit hotel & spa located at central of town, walking distance to Hua Hin Train station, Beach and night market,if other place of interest will booking local taxi ( expensive ),The hotel look like new renovation, but inside building is old. overall this hotel call said that very good, important staff very friendly and helpful.
Home Away Home”
I found Tanawit a family-friendly hotel located close to the Hua Hin beach and public and private transportation systems. All these are within a short walking distance from the hotel. The staff are nice. The room service is excellent. The room is spacious but not the bath room. I liked the food served in the restaurant. Breakfast includes varieties of items but one thing - low sugar - should have been arranged for those who do not take sugar with their tea or coffee. I found the place environment-friendly and enjoyed staying there.
Great location and excellent services”
i often visit hua hin city every time during my thailand visits. the hotel surrounded by many guesthouses and real estates offices. it's conveniently one block away from the infamous local night market and 10 minutes walk to the white sanded beach of hua hin city. the rooms were well designed with each comes with a balcony overseas the ocean and hua hin town. the staff are very polite and sweet; would highly recommend this hotel.
Nice, Clean & Good Condition Room”
Experience stay in Tanawit Hotel & Spa is very good. Hotel location close to some major attractions like Hua Hin Beach and Hua Hin Railway Station with just 10 mins walking distance, Hua Hin Night Market and some famous restaurant just around the corner. Staffs are very friendly. 1st day when we check-in to the hotel, the WIFI in room was not function, after informed to the receptionist, they send a people come to our room to help us with this problem, they even call up to our room to make sure the problem has been solved.
Good value for money”
Good location close to everything in Hua Hin city center. The superior room was good and clean but the bed was too hard and there is no in room safe. The hotel is also located close to the station and you can easily here the noice from the staff talking in loudspeakers when trains depart and arrive. If you bring ear plugs it is no problem. The staff in the reception can speak english and they were polite and very helpfull.
Visit to HUA Hin”
Stayed at the Tanawit a few times, satisfies all your needs for a stay in Hua Hin. Although you have to cross a main road to get to the Beach, this is offset either the Hotel being comfortable and adequately priced. Special praise for the girls who looked after guests at breakfast, always helpful and smiling.
Great Experience!”
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Hua Hin. It is located on a quiet street only a block from the night market and a 10 minute walk from the main beach. The rooms were spacious with lovely balconies and bathrooms. Almost everything was perfectly clean, although the floors were a bit dirty but this is common to most hotels. The pools were amazing and the breakfast was a nice bonus as well. The staff were very accommodating to us, helping to arrange rides and letting us stay an extra hour for free due to illness. If you don’t mind a little walking and not being beach front, I would definitely recommend this place!
Good value hotel near to Night Market”
The main attraction here was the swimming pool area (2 pools and a jacuzzi) and its proximity to the Night Market. In the pool area they have plenty of loungers to soak up the rays and a bar/eating area. Although not too far from the beach, I found Hua Hin beach not as nice as the beach in Cha-am which is about 20km north of Hua Hin. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a bar outside the hotel called The Corner where you can unwind before going to bed. Being very close to the Night Market meant not having to go far to find some good quality seafood. They also have many stalls setup selling all kinds of goods from tacky souvenirs to clothing.
Big sea view room with affordable price and good location!”
We had booked a superior room which is cheap, clean, big in size and private sea view balcony. The hotel is located in center of hua hin city area e.g. just seven minutes walk to hua hin beach; two minutes to night market, McDonald’s, Burger King. The hotel has attractive swimming pools and free wifi facility is available in bed room and lobby. We stayed for three nights which is convenient and comfortable for couple. The front desk staffs were very friendly with my sweet daughter. Overall is very good but a few things need to improve: in room safety deposit box is required and ac cool little late but okay. Highly recommend..
Comfy bed with at a value price”
The friendliness of the staff, comfy bed ( you need to try) , 2 swimming pools with jacuzzi and location make this hotel a wonderful place to stay in Hua hin. We were as a group of 4 adults with a young child and we had a very warm welcome when we arrived and departed. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel. One thing if it possible to change but not a big problem for us which is the height of both swimming pool. So please do not leave your children unattened.
good location, good value”
We stayed in room 1703 (standard double) three nights in Nov 2014. Although the property is aging, the location, spaciousness and renovated shower/bath represent good value for the $32/night we paid. We particularly enjoyed being close to the beach (800m) and closer to town center. Very close to main road, night market, night life and the beach. WiFi and broadband internet works great. We did not rely on staff and did not eat on site, although their buffet looked good. We had a nice American breakfast around the corner at the mondara cafe which seems to be operated by Tanawit, or at least breakfast ordered there comes from the Tanawit buffet. Although we did not eat in the hotel, I rated the food 4/5. Mondara Americano is exceptional at 45B/cup. We have stayed at two other similarly priced hotels in Hua Hin. Tanawit represents best value for us because of location. A comparable hotel cost slightly more and a newer hotel was farther costing us time and taxi fees to go back and forth.
Great location and pool, average room and breakfast”
We enjoyed our stay at Tanawit Hotel, mainly because of the great Agoda deal we got on the price, and the location and pool at the hotel. We were two girlfriends visiting Hua Hin for a long weekend, looking for a place to stay where we could catch up on the sun and enjoy the towns bars and restaurants. The pools were great, the whole area around them was well kept, with a lovely pool bar serving food, drinks and cocktails. There were tons of sunbeds, with mattresses and complimentary towels. The hotel was also in a great location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle on a side street, so as not to be noisy, but right on the doorstep of the night market, and a short walk from the beach. The room was OK, in need of updating, but it did meet our needs with the shower, AC and TV working fine and the beds being clean. We had a problem with our bathroom light, but this was fixed efficiently by the staff. Overall, the hotel was good value for money (at the Agoda price), and we'd consider staying here again if we were ever to go back to Hua hin.
Just so so”
Breakfast is kind of bad, less of choice. The whole envieronmwnt around this hotel is quite satisfactory, cause Hua Hin is really small. You can go everywhere within 5~10 minutes.Post Office, night market,Hua Hin shopping mall and the beach is all nearby!
Nice, quiet place - good service.”
Really great - breakfeast is okay, but could need a fresh up (especially the selection in eggs, only sunny side-up every day, omelet or scamble eggs, as the hotel says online) - very kind and helpfull staff going the extra mile if/when possible. Great swimmingpools. Only bad thing about Hua Hin, is all the indian/burmes tailors, they can really get on youre nevers over and over again.
nice hotel in a prime location”
hotel is in a great location 5 minutes walk to the famous night market and about 10 minutes from the beach the rooms are good decent size and breakfast buffer is a good spread the hotel is set between 2 buildings which has a nice pool to relax and nice staff good quality hotel in the centre of hua hin i would stay here again if i back there
Great hotel with wonderful staff”
5th time in hua hin and this would be the best place we have stayed in. the room is perfect and a nice little balcony to sit and relax. the aircon is very efficient but also very quiert. bathroom is great with a lovely shower and plenty of hot water. the pool area while still being updated is great with 2 lovely pools and plenty of shade. the breakfast is basic but very tasty and there is always the european bakery just down the soi.
Excellen location and value”
We have visited Hua Hin 5 or 6 times and have stayed in a variety of hotels there. The Tanawit was a very comfortable stay for us and represented great value. The location in a small street (dead end) makes it quiet, but it is really central, minutes from all the action and the beach. The rooms are big, the staff helpful. We will use this hotel again.
Excellent Location”
enjoyed the stay at Tanawit mainly because of it's location, not very close to the beach though (about 500m).. however it is right in the center of Hua Hin, market, shopping, drinking, all close by; the hotel is very ok, nice pool, breakfast and that's about it - not isolated (located in an alley and was not easy to find), didn't bother though as we were looking to have a good time and it's location was perfect for it, didn't do mucu sight seeing...
Not Too Bad”
I enjoyed my stay after being initially a little disappointed with the bathroom and the decor of the room. I paid about £30 per night which I thought was pricey at first. But when you consider the great location, great pool, nice staff and good breakfast the price was about right. One must also consider that Hua Hin being 'Hua Hin' things are generally a tad more expensive than other areas of the kingdom. I would recommend this hotel, the shower and bath were the only real let down, but hey...I only spent 5 mins twice a day in there so it is no big deal.
