About Tangalooma Island Resort

Surrounded by crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and untouched national parks, Tangalooma Island Resort is a natural wonderland to be explored. The resort can be reached by taking a relaxing 75-minute cruise from Brisbane’s Holt Street Wharf. Guests are accommodated just 50 meters from the beach among landscaped gardens and natural bush land. A highlight of any stay is the opportunity to interact with nature. All guests have the opportunity to view the wild dolphins nightly with commentary by an Eco Ranger. In the mornings, the resident pelicans and cormorants enjoy a bucket or two of fish hand-fed to them on the beach. When visiting during the whale migration season from June to the end of October, you can partake in the whale-watching cruise and catch a close view of these majestic mammals. There are also over 80 other tours and activities to be enjoyed, including quad bike tours, desert safari tours, snorkeling, and much more.

Amazing natural environment. But food is not good but pricely. You can cook but again, not much choice from the only grocery shop in the island.

awesome holiday
Our villa was very clean and had a great view. Staff were all so helpful and cheerful. Enjoyed the feeding of the dolphins, and also the bird feeding. Beach cafe food was very nice. They never stopped, due to the regular ferry passengers that arrived. Loved the holiday so much, I hope to come over again, from the UK.

the sun,the sea and the dolphin
my booking was for 4 adults and 2 children but they charged me for 6 adults ferry ticket which is $70 more. when I check with them for a refund, they said I should claim from the booking agent (which is agoda in this case) and not them.

Great place but barge price too high
Location, facilities, activities
The barge price was very overpriced and the signage and resort info was very limited. For the free activities there wasn't much info on where to get the equipment from etc. The location was beautiful although we missed out on some activities due to minimum numbers req which was disappointing. The dolphin feeding was awesome.
