Romantic, next to beach and pool”
A lovely hotel. Wifi was very good. The breakfast buffet was awesome. Oh My Gosh! Awesome! We ate for 2 hours every morning :) No need for lunch after the breakfast here. The room was pretty, decorated lovely. There was a kettle and coffee percolator for us to use. Coffee and tea provided too. Lots of toiletries and the mini bar was reasonably priced. Very very close to the beach and pool and restaurant on the beach. Short Holiday”
The Tango resort satisfied my need for a hotel on the beach at a reasonable price and far enough away from the main entertainment area of Chaweng so that there were no disruption due to noise from bars music. It is situated literally on the beach with the water lapping the tables and chairs at high tide. The room I had was large and had a separate ensuite and there was no noise from the adjoining room. The Tango resort is about one kilometre from the main entertainment area but within easy walking distance and if you don't want to pay the 300 baht ++ for breakfast it is easy enough to walk into Chaweng for a full English or American breakfast for 190/160 Baht. There is a laundry next door which charges 40 baht per kilo if returned next day but also offers express service. Internet, money exchange and mini-mart available across the road.

Friendly Staff and good location”
we stayed in one of the junior suites. it was quite spacious and clean and had all the facilities we needed for a nice relaxing stay. i would describe tango beach resort as an up market backpacker, say 3+ stars. staff are very friendly and helpful. the restaurant was quite good, resonably priced and has a very nice orientation right on the beach. the hotel is located about 10 mins from the airport in north chaweng away from the noise and bars of central chaweng which is a 10 minute walk away.

Nice, cute hotel in great location”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tango Beach. We were on our honeymoon and wanted a relaxing place to stay while still being close enough to the fun/tourist areas. Tango Beach was just that hotel. We didn't want to be too close to the notorious party hotels or where lots of tourist/hotels would be. So if you're looking to be at a party hotel, go to Ark Bar, Tango Beach isn't for you. The shopping areas with tons of vendors and restaurants is a short taxi ride away, less than 10 minutes in traffic. We rented a moped, and it would take less time than that. Tango Beach is really for people or families seeking a more quiet hotel on the beach. Cute outdoor restaurant and good food. The staff was very friendly, and they had a great breakfast buffet every morning with rice/fried rice, vegetables, bacon, ham, fruit, juices, cereals and bread. Their massage bungalow just on the beach was great, we went two days in a row. Only negative part of the hotel is the lounging area. The pool is located inwards, not on the beach. So when you lay out or lounge, you're surrounded by hotel rooms and you're not looking at the ocean. I was disappointed by this element. We did see people on sun bathing chairs on the beach in front of the hotel, which was a good idea. So this is always an option. Overall, great hotel. We had a suite, upstairs king bed and downstairs bathroom. Loved the space, very comfortable for two people on a honeymoon.

Tango Beach Resort Chaweng”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tango Beach Resort. The staff are fantastic, really friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and clean and the rainshower is fab. We booked bed and breakfast and it was delicious. We ate in the hotel restaurant a number of times and the food was lovely. The swimming pool is nice but its location isn't the best as it is in the walkway to the restaurant and beach. The location is north Chaweng. Its a 10 minute walk into Chaweng centre but that was great for us.

2 weeks at a lovely resort with great staff!”
We stayed at the Tango Beach Resort for a little over 2 weeks. We ended up extending our stay there. The staff was very helpful with all of our many questions, and very accommodating with everything we needed. The resort is very clean with great energy. The pool is always kept clean with lots of sun and shade. The resort is on the beach which they also keep more clean than some other parts of the beach. The restaurant is very good with burgers, thai food, pasta, vegetarian and more. The resort is in a great location, about 5 minutes walking from the main road where all of the night life, shopping and restaurants are and right across the street from a hospital if needed. It is nice to stay in a resort out of all the fuss and be such a quick walk from that. We had a great stay at the Tango Beach Resort.

Gorgeous little resort”
tango is a lovely little resort on the beach with fantastic staff, great food at the beachfront restaurant, and the free upgrade to a bigger room by the pool was just fantastic. being at the northern end of chaweng beach is wonderful if you want to get away from the crowds but it's only a 5-10 minute stroll down the beach for a different scene. we would definitely stay there again as it is great value for money.

Great time at Tango Beach ”
We had a great time at Tango Beach, room was lovely and the bed was huge! We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool and reception, with a wide spiral staircase to access it (most of the rooms are on the ground level with slopes down to the ones nearer the beach so all accessible). Lovely pool area, with lots of plants and decking around. The staff were very helpful with arranging a boat day trip and our ferry connection (thanks to Ta who made all the phone calls!). We had a fresh towel, pool towel and bottles of drinking water everyday. Walking distance to the main part of chaweng beach (around 15mins) or just jump on a red songthaew for 50baht. We walked most of the time day and night. You can also walk along the beach which is a bit longer but enjoyable. The restaurant at the back of the hotel, next to the beach, does not appear to be part of the hotel but they share the space. You can get a 10%off food coupon from hotel reception desk. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but the food we had in the restaurant was nice, and has a lovely view out over the bay. Some reviewers complain of the seaweed on the beach as some of the other resorts sweep it up, but this is a beach it's natural nothing to complain about! The water is shallow, clear and warm. Only negatives were gaps around the door and windows which let in a few mosquitos, but we kept the curtains drawn for most of the time which helped. Also, the shower water pressure was weak and there weren't many loungers by the pool or beach. Good value for money, would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Great service and range of rooms”
a nice small modern hotel with good service. there is a range of different rooms, we stayed in the lowest price of a superior room which was fine. had all the needed amenities, fridge, tv, hot water, dressing gowns, towels, hair dryer. needs a lick of paint and updating a bit though. the other rooms looked nicer for i'm sure not that much more money, they had plasma tvs. the hotel is right on the beach amongst a strip of other hotels. the restaurant is a definite plus, food really nice but quite expensive i think compared to other restaurants on the beach. we only stayed 2 nights as we were flying back to bangkok and wanted to be close to airport which is only about 10 mins away. personally i wouldn't go back to koh samui as there are far nicer places and the beach is packed and the water is horrible and dirty! koh samui is like a small version of bangkok. but the hotel is nice and in a very good location if you want to walk into the main cheweng town, about 15 mins along beach or along main road.

Great location”
Value for money, small hotel but you can find everything you need. Staffs are nice and helpful, I told them I need to check out before 6 in the morning, and the reception staff was so nice and actively ask me whether want a breakfast box, it was fantastic. Pool is fine, fitness centre is super small but okay. Location is amazing, you can find beach massage next door in a cheap price, restaurant is fine. The beach is the best in Koh Samui, white sand, not rough.

Relaxing beach vacation”
I looked at so many hotel reviews before choosing Tango, but I'm really glad I did. It was just the kind of place I was looking for. Close enough to the action (15 minute walk), but thankfully far enough away so that it was quiet, peaceful, friendly. They serve a great breakfast buffet, and their dining area is so lovely... all open air with a laid-back beach vibe, reggae music often playing, but not too loud... The pool is also pretty nice, small, but just right for the size of the hotel, and situated in a really nice boardwalk zone that runs through the center of the hotel. That layout with the shady boardwalk and trees all around is really pleasant. The room itself was completely average. Kind of dim and dank feeling... But it is the humid tropics, on a beach, so I could forgive that. The bed was comfortable enough. The massage ladies were great too. It was my first time in Thailand, and I'm glad I chose that spot.

Excellent value, friendly staff”
we have been to the Tango's excellent beach restaurant many times, this was our first stay at the hotel. Having read some reviews that were critical of reception staff, we were pleasantly surprised at how friendly and efficient they were. If there was a problem, it's clearly been resolved! The only downsides to the Tango are the millions of ants (not inside the room though) and I guesss that one man's friendly maid is another's noisy pain in the neck!the cleaning staff are great but chat incessantly to each other and are always singing! I think this hotel is more than fair value for the price.

Relaxed”
We booked a junior suite which had a funky split level design. Right next to the pool. Which was kind of handy at times. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially reception and restaurant/bar staff. they even gave us free late check out. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The hotel itself is on the quiet side of chaweng. But still walking distance to shopping,dining and nightclub area of chaweng. The beach by the hotel has Very calm and shallow water with a nice walk out to the sand bar a short 100/200m away. Water sports offered by vendors close by. Massage by the beach right next to the hotel resraurant/bar area. There is also a small gym and tours arranged with reception. We just wanted somewhere quiet to relax on the beach/water, drink beer and get massaged. Great service and good food was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend if you want somewhere quiet but still close to the "action" if you want to get crazy.

We went to Koh Samui for oour honeymoon trip, and we stay 3 different hotels during our vacation period, Tango beach resort is the only resort that special decorated our room with rose petals and beautiful swans. And we were surprised they prepared a simple breakfast (cheese & ham sandwich + banana + orange juice) because we need to leave at 5am and depart to airport.

Hotel of warmth and green feel.”
It was a one of the most relaxing holidays. As it was off-peak season, our pre-booked room was upgraded on complimentary basis. The room was clean, airy and very comfortable. Although lighting was not bright enough for me to do some writing, it was good enough for a holiday mood. The location was perfect, away from the Chaweng Centre buzz and noise but still within 10-20min walking distance to local food stalls and the centre of the buzz. We loved the wooden floor boards and the trees that the resort was build around (the trees were there before the resort). It gave a warmth and green feel, unlike its neighbours as my room-mate described it "very sterile and cold." Food was good, tomyam and green curry was great and authentic and we being Asians asked for usual Thai spicy level and it met our approval on spiciness. Free WiFi, and the staff was friendly and help us in whatever we needed and island tour arrangement. The swimming pool was clean, though a few leaves dropping but they clean it every morning. Love the jacuzzi and the right size to swim a decent number of strokes. We love the beach front most, the restaurant and massage spa facing the beach. Prices of the massage spa was reasonable and the ladies have good iron fingers and friendly. Well worth the prices we paid for a number of massages. All in all, I would say, when I go Koh Samui I will stay there again, and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place yet not too far from the hype-activities.

Value For Money ”
Tango Resort is an ideal place for families with young children as most of their rooms are close to beach and if not the sea they also have decent size. Location wise, it's about 10 -15 mins walk to downtown. a few restaurant nearby with quite good food and 24 hours convenient store just a few walks away. There is also a tour operator next to 7-11 that offer good tour package. Do also mention a guy name "Kob" as he really takes care of his guest. Overall I like this place clean and beautiful place.

Lovely beach, good value for money”
we enjoyed our stay at tango beach resort. it is extremely well-located, on the beach front, and just a few minutes from the buzzling nightlife of chaweng beach. the rooms were nicely decorated, though a bit run-down. it was good value for the money we paid. there is a wifi internet connection which was particularly convenient. the beach is very nice and since it's on the northern end of the beach, rather quiet with not that many passers-by. food and drinks are of good quality.

Had an awesome stay at Tango beach, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the room was beautiful. Very clean and the breakfast was very good every morning. Great location, very nice room. Value for money!”
We had a really nice stay in 6 days @ Tango. The best thing is that the resort is located at Chaweng, but away from all the noise. A small stroll and you are in the middle of everything. Junior suite: a must! Clean nice room with beg bed and a very nice bathroom. Try the watermelon shake! :) We paid appx. 13 000 bath for 6 nights including breakfast. Absolutely a good price!

Nice hotel, shame about the other guests”
Tango is a great place to stay, right in the heart of Chaweng. The staff are friendly and the food is out of this words. Maybe the large group was a one off but I would not stay there again to risk the noise, although I imagine if I was still in my teenage years I would have loved it. Should not be any reflection on the hotel at all.
