Unforgettable”

Staff 100/100! They are all young locals who are really passionate, thoughtful and considerate towards their work, local environment and sustainable tourism. Yes, Dieng is a small town but it is totally worth to stay in Tani Jiwo for one or a couple of nights(I booked for one night and ended up extend one more night), not only to explore the beauty of Dieng but also to meet them and join/try some programmes(occassional) and tour they offer. I was genuinely impressed and enjoyed the time talking with them. There were 3 options for breakfast--local, toast or cereal--. I had local food(nasi goreng) and it was good. The common area was spacious with small kitchen where you can cook or get water, tea and coffee. Wi-fi is stable, hot shower and hair dryer are available :) Their restaurant offers local/western food, snack, coffee, kombucha that they make there and other drinks as well. I survived with my T-shirts and leggings but highly recommend you to bring a jacket and long pants, it is quite cold in Dieng. Your travel becomes something unforgettable when you are in the right place with beautiful people around and you would feel that in Tani Jiwo. Will definitely stay in Tani Jiwo when I visit Dieng again.

Location near from everywhere, in the middle of everything. To kompleks Candi Ardjuna, Museum Kailasa, Kawah Sikidang, Sikunir Hills, Telaga Merdada, Dieng Plateu Theater, etc. This hostel is very catchy compare to the surroundings. Love their rustic theme. If you need public transportation, just wait in front of the hostel. Gas station only few metres away. If you like durian, there are some durian seller in front of the hostel every afternoon. They also rent bikes and motorcycle. They provide hot water, coffee, tea, sugar, stove, cuttleries if you want to make your own drink and cook instant food. Cheap shuttle to sikunir hills to see the sunrise. Tani Jiwo is absolutely my best experience in Dieng

single room with queen size bed, large closet, available bathroom inside and Tv. But the temperature may drop until negative so you need to rent heater if you want. They have water heater for shower in the bathroom. . for solo traveler I suggest to take bunk bed instead of single room because the price is a huge different but the coziness is almost same satisfaction. So you can save your money. But for a person who needs privacy highly recommended to take single room. Other facilities is just perfect and I like the location of this hostel which is easy to access to different kind of hotspot area in Dieng. This place just perfect to me.

The location is in the main road of Dieng Nice concept of the hostel Many nice photo spot in the common area Room was small but clean and comfy Staff was very friendly and helpfull Definitely will stay again if we visit Dieng in the future Will promote it to the family and friends

Excellent”

Good base for exploring Dieng with adequate facilities. Staff doesn't speak much English but are helpful. Not sure if they didn't have motorbikes available or stopped renting them out--I had to rent them for 100,000 IDR per day at another hostel 10-minute walk away. The small ayam bakar restaurant just across from the hostel is great for a late night snack.

Best hotel in Dieng”

Consider this is still a small city, not too much hotels. usually only home stay. I prefer this tahi jiwo than home stay. place also clean. but shower room too small and dark. anyway because no more choice I choose this hotel as the best in Dieng.

The warmest place at Dieng”

Warm place in the cold Dieng, the staff are so humble and nice. There are lotsa cute spots with many greens. They have awesome rooftop, tho.

Nice place for instagramable photos”

It is located in main road of Dieng and near Candi Arjuna. Very bright during night time so we can easily find it. However the private room that we stayed is rather small and very basic. The private bathroom inside our room a bit smelly too. Thank God we only stayed for one night there and rarely spend times in the room so I didn't have to worry about it the next day. But this hostel looks very instagramable for taking photos. The shared kitchen and dining tables are clean and neatly organized too. Nice for chatting with other guests. The staffs were nice and remember when I asked them to leave the towels in the reception table after we came back from dinner. So overall, if you just need a place to crash for a while after a long trip this hostel is good enough.

Facility, food & access”

The staff from this hostel help me from the start I landed until my transit to Semarang. He is very helpful guider on how to reach this place, since it is far from the airport. The staff in the hostel also very friendly makes me feel free to explore this place. The pantry have everything I need and great place to chill and eat. Great food, cozy bed and the toilet got warm water. There are place where you can get Ojek opposite the hostel or you can wait for the mini bus which will takes you to the Wonosobo town. There are plenty of shops down the street which you can access by walking, ojek or bus. Highly recommend for those who love highlands and hiking activity. BEST HOSTEL IN DIENG VILLAGE- CHEAP TOO!”

Pros:Great location,not quite in the centre of town, but a 10 mins walk away. There's a few Warung and a Spa massage close by. Options include either shared or private bathroom,which was adequate for our one night stay. Share facilities loo Plenty of kitchen facilities:fridge,2 ring burner,microwave,hot water jug,filtered hot & cold water tank, cutlery & crockery.,comfy lounge area to relax in and very large dining room which has plenty of plug outlets set into both sides of the table, to ensure one has charging or Power facilities Included brekky box was a type of vegetarian gado gado-Tasty We were able to return to the hostel after our Sikinur Hill descent, have breakfast and a shower before checking out at 11am. Would definitely stay here again!!👍A1 Cons: showering in the confined space means that floor stays wet and slippery for a few hours afterwards-risk of slipping is High! Only 1 single doona for a double we bed -BUT they did supply us with another one when we asked!

Menginep semalam disini waktu ke dieng dengan my lil' family. tempatnya bagus, pelayanan staff sangat memuaskan, lokasi memang tidak pas depan area candi arjuna but it's ok karena kita bisa jalan jalan dengan cuaca khas dieng,... I love this place.

The room is clean, the bathroom is clean. The facility is new. They provide breakfast everyday and also have a share kitchen for you cooking for yourself.Most comfortable hostel I stayed at so far.

actually, the interior is super nice & location is perfect, though need some improvement on cleanliness. as a local, I'm abit ashamed because all guests that stay with the family is kinda annoying. I saw some women were frying fishes............! I hope this hostel can make some improvement on this, reminding that they named themselves as a hostel, not Guesthouse or homestay. cheers.

Small room, and the floor not really clean. The staff is very helpful, in this place you can also cook by yourself in the kitchen, but you need to clean it after that. The room not soundproof so you can hear people are talking outside your room. Location is near with restaurant

Staff is very helpful speaking English very well. There is a cozy common area with free coffee tea and water. There are also all things you need for cooking yourself. Unfortunately (when i was staying there), WiFi didnt work and there was not hot, but a little bit warm water (not ice cold) only.

The staff are helpful and friendly, they will try their best to accomodate your request on the tour plan. The kitchen set is useful to make morning drink or even late nite coffee, but there should be rules for hostel guest on TV timing because we woke up due to TV sound at 1 am and the next morning we need to wake up very early morning at 3 am due to sunrise hiking to Sikunir. No hostel staff wake us up at 3 am even we have requested for morning wake up call and our tour guide is from hostel staff. Do not rely too much for breakfast from the hostel.
