Excellent for families, very good value for money”
          1. Quiet, flexible environment 2. very affordable 3. excellent for kids
We have three children, 8-years-old and under, and have stayed at TaNiTa a few times over the past few years. It has become our go-to place for weekends away with the kids. The stand-alone 'cottages' are great for families with small children who are self-conscious about bothering neighbors. There is ample room to run around and play, with paddle boats, a salt-water pool, plenty of fish to feed your breakfast leftovers (which are brought to your residence each morning) and a quiet, restful atmosphere where you needn't worry about the kids (no nearby roads). It is, admittedly, a bit difficult to find and sort of out-of-the-way. All in all, I would certainly recommend it for families, couples and others wanting a quiet, cheap-but-clean-and-pleasant get away.

          Quiet, comfortable and relaxing
I loved spending time at Tanita Lagoon resort. The lakeside bungalows are spacious and beautifully decorated inside. The owner spoke great English and was extremely accommodating. The swimming pool is beautiful and the whole place is very quiet and relaxing. This is the place to stay if you want some time out. They picked us up from the bus station for 200B and dropped us into town when we wanted a night on the tiles. Be sure to take their telephone number with you though if you do go out as it's not easy for tuk-tuk drivers to know where to take you back, even with a Thai partner speaking the local lingo. The only down side was the restaurant staff weren't that attentive, but I didn't mind as our overall stay was great and everyone else were wonderful.

          Clean. Helpful staff. Quiet.
Stayed here a few times. Just off the Udon ringroad about 15 minutes drive from the city centre or airport. The resort is very quietly situated and has a nice pool. Chalets surround a fishing lake. Generally seems to be very few guests stay there. Staff are helpful. Breakfast is served at your chalet - Thai food or Western *** You definitely need a car if you stay here - its a 'rural' location ***

          Excellent staff
Hotel is a little bit hard to find off the main road, but I had tomtom GPS, not a huge deal. Hotel very lovely, very quiet. The staff was great, breakfast and dinner were excellent. The rooms were clean and very nice. Room had a bit of an ant issue, but ants will be ants, they weren't biters anyways, and for the most part, only in the bathroom. Maybe my soap attracted them some how? Only Con, the pool, not clean at all. I enjoyed my stay there very much.

Stayed here in Jan for a week, beautiful setting , quiet, huts are clean and comfortable , pool is lovely and had it to myself for a few days , was given a pushbike to ride around the lake, breakfast is minimal , eggs tomato and toast with coffee but you can ask at the office for anything , there is a shop nearby , taxi or tuktuk to town not too far, great if you want some downtime.

          Peaceful
We didn't stay, we handed the key back at 16:40, not even sure if I can get a refund but we were not staying. No restaurant, no bar, dirty pool water, hissing cat outside the room, dirty (stray) dogs hanging around the carport, then a note inside the room that says not to allow dogs on the bed, makes you stand back and take a second look at the bed. The fridge needed a good clean as did the tiles in the bathroom/shower recess. We have lived in Laos for the past 2 years, love asia, asian culture, the diversity and differences of this lovely part of the world. We are definitely not 5 star seekers. We stay in Udon Thani regularly and have stayed in a variety of hotels here, but not TaNiTa. Sorry guys, the place has huge potential but you need to put some work into it.

We arrived and after discovering no restaurant and breakfast delivered on a golf cart so cold we managed to get another hotel and cancelled the remaining 8 days. Staff really wanted to help but the place needs some serious attention and care. It could be a nice place, but it is neglected.

          The Lake, Quiet, Delivered Breakfast
We had a one night stay at TaNita Lagoon Resort and chose it primarily for it's appeal as a "Thai" resort. We stayed on the lagoon and it was indeed a tranquil area to relax, with our own outside area where we could sit and take breakfast, and after, feed the fish in the lagoon. The resort is a little out of town which might be a problem for some, but with onsite food available and helpful staff manning the front desk, any difficulties should be easily overcome. I would definitly consider staying at TaNita Lagoon Resort again should the need arise.

Peaceful natural environment and a child friendly room
Me, my wife and daughter of two years old had a pleasant stay a Tanita Lagoon Resort. My daughter loved feeding the fishes in the morning. The resort is pretty close to Central Udon if you have a car, and even closer to a large Tesco Lotus where we had a wonderful dinner at Neo Suki. Tanita Lagoon Resort is definitely value for money. However, I would suggest to put a little more effort in the breakfast. Its wasn't awful but there's certainly room for improvement of the quality and diversity of the breakfast. I can recommend this resort and I would certainly stay here again when in Udon Thani.

Second time staying here and is even better now. Some new rooms have been built near the pool and are very modern. Other cottages next to the lagoon are nice as well. Food, staff and location are the best. It is located a bit of a drive out of Udon itself however the owner will run you into Udon or to the local Big C shopping centre which is only ten minutes by car. Has a supermarket at Big C so you can stock up and keep in your fridge in the room.

Beautiful surrounding amongst quiet environment. Was captivated by the nature settings of the resort. Had a nice time fishing just right in your own room. Caught a few fishes but released them back. Room is of good design and clean. Swimming pool is great to relax in although it is a bit small. Stayed only one night but will return for more next time.

A great place for a comfortable and relaxing break”
Great bedding, friendly helpful staff, lovely garden, lake and pool.
After a hard time at work I was in great need of a restful break, but as I live in Laos I also wanted a bit of "civilisation" and Tanita resort offered the best of both world: beautiful and peaceful resort, and shopping fun in Udon. The bungalow was super comfortable with absolutely AMAZING bedding. Breakfast is a simple: fried eggs, sausage, toast and marmalade, but it is served promptly and can be delivered to your bungalow if you wish. I even got to the restaurant closer to lunch time one day, and the cook kindly prepared breakfast for me regardless. And I had another two delicious Thai meals at the resort (green curry and padkhapao), which again can be delivered to your bungalow/room. The pool is great, overlooking the lagoon and with a kids' pool adjacent. There are fishing rods and pedaloes for a bit of fun on the lake itself. As other reviewers have said, it's probably easier to have you own car unless you plan to stay on-site, though they will try and organise a way to drop you into town if you need it. There was some construction work going on (absolutely no noise or inconvenience), and the resort will soon have an additional 6 rooms right on the lake, and a coffee shop. It's a lovely place to relax and I will go back for sure.

We had, as always, a wonderful time at the Resort. The swimming pool is the best I have used. small, but beautifully clean and refreshing. The staff are all extremely kind and helpful. There are few food options, but the rooms have a refridgerator and a beautiful eating area outside.

Great pool, one restaurant ten minute drive away(excellent), friendly, helpful staff
If it had not been for the manager and staff, it would have been a nightmare. The town center is 30 minutes drive and there is not a single place you can walk to, just a dirt track to a main road and miles to civilisation. At the T junction to another main road there is a solitary restaurant then a Tesco and Big C further on.

A bit out of the way of the main Udon Thani centre however they will take you to the local shopping centre ( about 5 mins by car) for 100 baht or into Udon Thani(Central Plaza) itself for about 200 baht. If you are after a relaxed, comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay I can recommend. The two ladies that serviced our room and bought the breakfast to the room every morning are delightful and always smiling. Owner is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We ate at the resort most lunch and dinner times .They are home cooked by the owner and are excellent. Pool area is great and lunch can be served down there if required. Overall a geat time was had and as mentioned already, if you just want to relax and enjoy a peaceful area you cannot go wrong.

This hotel is situated on a lake about 10 minutes from the center of Udon. It's a good place to relax. The hotel has a great infinity pool that overlooks the lake, and provides breakfast in the room. The rooms are spotless, although they have very bright lights in some. You may need to unscrew a few lightbulbs. The bed is very 'Asian' - hard as a rock. It's comfortable, though, but be prepared for that. The bathroom is spotless, and well-designed. I recommend this hotel if you're looking to feel a bit of northern Thai culture, or just relax.
