We love this resort”
This is an older property that doesn’t have all the amenities it once had (pool and restaurant). But the very quiet and beautiful property makes up for it. We take our dog along with us when we travel and she can run free here. We also love the staff. This is where we stay when we come to Udon Thani.

Peaceful ”
There are no facilities here at the resort, all a victim of Covid restrictions. The website needs updating . No restaurant, no bar, no swimming pool, you need to go out to eat or use the food delivery services in Udon . The room is nice enough and if you want peace and quiet with a spot of fishing it is great. There are too many stray dogs and cats roaming around begging for food. Having said that We enjoyed our stay , but I cannot recommend as it is nothing like the website or booking agents discription. You can see it was a lovely place but in dire need of TLC . This is due to 2.5 years of no or little customer. We used the Grab food courier and it worked well, luckily we had taken our own drink . We would return.

Very good”
Quiet atmosphere suitable for relaxation, but somewhat eerie and scary. Low water flow. Stained and blackened bed sheets.

Needs updating ”
The room itself was ok, no complaints. But everything else is falsely advertised. The swimming pool is not available, it’s full of old murky water, rubbish and leaves. The surrounding wooden decking is dangerous and broken. It actually looks like it was abandoned 15 years ago. As far as I could see, I was the only guest in the entire resort, I genuinely thought I was in the scene of a horror movie at times. The place was surely once very beautiful but it needs money, and a lot of it, to be spent to bring the place back to even close how it’s represented by the photos.

Pleasant stay”
Me, my wife and daughter of two years old had a pleasant stay a Tanita Lagoon Resort. My daughter loved feeding the fishes in the morning. The resort is pretty close to Central Udon if you have a car, and even closer to a large Tesco Lotus where we had a wonderful dinner at Neo Suki. Tanita Lagoon Resort is definitely value for money. However, I would suggest to put a little more effort in the breakfast. Its wasn't awful but there's certainly room for improvement of the quality and diversity of the breakfast. I can recommend this resort and I would certainly stay here again when in Udon Thani.

Chalet on the Lakeside”
tanita resort is a little hard to find as it is tucked behind a new housing project on the 216 that makes up the udon thani ring road. if you drive or navigate to na di you will be in the correct area but will still have difficulty finding tanita. best to locate on google earth and take a printout with you. the resort itself is a little dated but the chalets are clean and well maintained inside. the staff are very pleasant and ready to assist and provide all you require if it is within their power. being situated on a lake it was great for the children as they could feed the fish and i believe fishing is allowed. the chalets have undercover parking for one vehicle, air conditioning and hot shower with western style toilet. the location is very peaceful and convenient for the airport which is about 6km away by road. the breakfast is provided at your chalet to order and caters for both western and thai tastes. there are nice gardens to walk around and a swimming pool. if you have small children do keep a strict eye on them as areas of the lake are not guarded. if you are checking out early in the morning make sure the staff know exactly what time you plan to leave. the resort is in need of a makeover but at the price i paid for bed & breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children under 5 it was very good value for money. we plan to stay there again on our return from the uk while visiting friends in udon thani.

A great place for a comfortable and relaxing break”
After a hard time at work I was in great need of a restful break, but as I live in Laos I also wanted a bit of "civilisation" and Tanita resort offered the best of both world: beautiful and peaceful resort, and shopping fun in Udon. The bungalow was super comfortable with absolutely AMAZING bedding. Breakfast is a simple: fried eggs, sausage, toast and marmalade, but it is served promptly and can be delivered to your bungalow if you wish. I even got to the restaurant closer to lunch time one day, and the cook kindly prepared breakfast for me regardless. And I had another two delicious Thai meals at the resort (green curry and padkhapao), which again can be delivered to your bungalow/room. The pool is great, overlooking the lagoon and with a kids' pool adjacent. There are fishing rods and pedaloes for a bit of fun on the lake itself. As other reviewers have said, it's probably easier to have you own car unless you plan to stay on-site, though they will try and organise a way to drop you into town if you need it. There was some construction work going on (absolutely no noise or inconvenience), and the resort will soon have an additional 6 rooms right on the lake, and a coffee shop. It's a lovely place to relax and I will go back for sure.

Great place near the airport”
I picked Tanita Resort more or less randomly as the Google locator was not very exact, as I need a place to stay in Udon before flying out in the morning. It turned out to be an excellent choice as Tanita is very near the Udon airport and the owner/manager does pickup and drop-off as part of their service. Located on a large pond full of fish, the resort is clean, surrounded by grass and trees, and has a beautiful swimming pool. They deliver breakfast to your door in the morning and do meals on request. There is also a nice restaurant about 10 minutes walk towards the main road with the best vegetarian spring rolls I have ever tasted, anywhere.

Gateway, Serene and Quiet. ”
were aren't at the airport, called tanita and ask if they could provide transport from udon thani rajabhat university. one thing that he couldn't speak english only thai. so pick us up and is quite far actually take about half an hour to reach tanita.. they best that he didn't charge at all. breakfast and dinner are awesome (i had a minor stomach issue after eating dinner at the hotel). hardly could get any eating option around walking distance.

Nice place to relax”
TaNiTa Lagoon Resort is not a hotel. TaNiTa Lagoon Resort is a Thai resort. It is not in the countryside or in the mountains, but it is on the edge of the city. I would recommend staying there, but only if you have a car or plan to stay inside the resort. Transportation from and to the airport was free, but they charged 100 baht for a ride to Tesco Lotus and 200 baht for a ride to downtown. The resort is near the ring road. You can hear some of the big trucks on the road, but it is not really intrusive. At night, it was very quiet with only the sound of crickets chirping. The property has been open about 3 years, but the owner has been preparing for about 8 years so the trees and plantings are very mature. It is a work in progress. They have recently added an infinity-edge swimming pool. There are currently 13 bungalows - 9 “lagoon view” and 4 “garden view” - with plans for more as funds permit. Each room has its own parking space (covered ones for lagoon view), small deck, refrigerator, and satellite TV. The TV has over 300 channels, but after 2 passes I could not find a single one that was not in Thai. The lagoon view decks overhang the lagoon, but they are built off of the parking space so you have to come out of your room and sit next to your car to enjoy them. The garden view decks overlook the parking space, the driveway, and the back of the lagoon view rooms. You can see the lagoon through the spaces between the bungalows. If you don’t plan to fish from your window or from your deck, these rooms are fine – and about 33% less expensive. The resort has bicycles (one tandem) that you can borrow. You can ride on the back roads to see houses, farms, and a temple, but it would be a very long ride to anything else such as Tesco Lotus. Some reviewers commented on the hard beds. I found them extra firm but quite comfortable. The pillows were another story – so hard and thick (more like a cushion from the back of a sofa) that I could not use them

Great service and friendly staf”
A bit out of the way of the main Udon Thani centre however they will take you to the local shopping centre ( about 5 mins by car) for 100 baht or into Udon Thani(Central Plaza) itself for about 200 baht. If you are after a relaxed, comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay I can recommend. The two ladies that serviced our room and bought the breakfast to the room every morning are delightful and always smiling. Owner is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We ate at the resort most lunch and dinner times .They are home cooked by the owner and are excellent. Pool area is great and lunch can be served down there if required. Overall a geat time was had and as mentioned already, if you just want to relax and enjoy a peaceful area you cannot go wrong.

Totally chilled out”
I loved spending time at Tanita Lagoon resort. The lakeside bungalows are spacious and beautifully decorated inside. The owner spoke great English and was extremely accommodating. The swimming pool is beautiful and the whole place is very quiet and relaxing. This is the place to stay if you want some time out. They picked us up from the bus station for 200B and dropped us into town when we wanted a night on the tiles. Be sure to take their telephone number with you though if you do go out as it's not easy for tuk-tuk drivers to know where to take you back, even with a Thai partner speaking the local lingo. The only down side was the restaurant staff weren't that attentive, but I didn't mind as our overall stay was great and everyone else were wonderful.

Very quite location near the ring road”
the manager at the tanita resort meet us at the airport and transported us to the resort. the room is very clean with a large king size bed,a nice bathroom, tv,and barfridge.in the morning we enjoyed the view over the lake and feed the fish. the breakfast was good, also the staff very friendly. we had our weeks laundry done for 2 people for thai baht. we would suggest hiring a car, this can be done at the airport on arrival without too much fuss. the resort is on the ring road (216) and is assessable to all major roads leading out of udon, also is only a 10 minute drive into udon's city centre for shopping etc. we would stay at this reasort again

Serene and quiet, 10 mins from airport”
A wonderful little getaway spot just 10 mins drive from Udon Thaini airport. We stayed at lagoon villa 1, which has very beautiful view. For the price, this is a very good value hotel. The infinity pool overlooking the lagoon was wonderful, (although it probably could use some more chlorine), and the owners are beautiful friendly people. The one slight detractor was the food, (I had a minor stomach issue after eating dinner at the hotel), and there are no other eating options within walking distance. Basically I advise staying at this hotel but get a taxi into town for dinner/lunch.

Quiet, Close to Airport and Great Pool”
Tanita is a very good place to stay if you need or want quiet times. You can bike or go for walks in the villages, and swim in their beautiful clean pool. If you don't have a car it can be a challenge, but the staff will arrange trips into the city for shopping, to good restaurants or to the Udon Thani Airport and it is easy to return via cab or tuk tuk. Small stores are close by for beverages and food is available at the resort.

Excellent for families, very good value for money”
We have three children, 8-years-old and under, and have stayed at TaNiTa a few times over the past few years. It has become our go-to place for weekends away with the kids. The stand-alone 'cottages' are great for families with small children who are self-conscious about bothering neighbors. There is ample room to run around and play, with paddle boats, a salt-water pool, plenty of fish to feed your breakfast leftovers (which are brought to your residence each morning) and a quiet, restful atmosphere where you needn't worry about the kids (no nearby roads). It is, admittedly, a bit difficult to find and sort of out-of-the-way. All in all, I would certainly recommend it for families, couples and others wanting a quiet, cheap-but-clean-and-pleasant get away.

Great for a swim and a very quiet peaceful time”
If you want to take your family to a place that is out of the mainstream Udon Thani life, this is one good place. You can sit quietly on your terrace overlooking the lake, a short walk away from one of the best swimming pools in the area. Great owners willing to help, good Thai food and can organize rides into the city.
