"we moved over to this hotel in tanote bay after realizing that sairee beach was loud, crowded, and not great for what we wanted from the ocean. the pool here is clean and beautiful, with a great view of tanote bay, with rocks and mountains. we have a 9 month old baby, and the hotel is perfect, other than the fact that it's at the bottom of a bumpy, dirt, road... so getting to and from the town on a motor bike was a bit complicated... but do-able. we got way more than what we bargained for here, and ended up changing our flight back to bangkok to stay 3 extra nights in the hotel. the location is very remote, so you're actually able to relax, snorkle, fish, and have some drinks without watching fire dancers and body painters. the staff is incredible. there was a free shuttle to get to and from where you're going/coming from (by shuttle, i of course mean pick-up-truck). also, my husband got incredibly ill while we were here (not caused by the resort) and they sent their driver to the town to pick up antibiotics for him. no charge... so i tipped him. great area for snorkeling, rent fins/mask/snorkel for 100 baht per 24 hours and swim 20 feet off shore. see amazing sea life, and jump off a really big rock! the cons? limited stuff around the resort, so if you're traveling with a baby or children, stock up on what you need near the pier before you get here... it will save you a day or so of going back or forth."

"We loved out bungalow that was quaint and more tucked away and private than others. The outdoor bathroom beautiful. Cold water was not a problem. Actually felt great. We enjoyed a run up and out of the hotel daily to an area beach. There is Tanote Bay at about 40 minutes and 30 minutes to a smaller beach just south. Many people take advantage of the hotel' s "taxi" service out to town several times a day for tours etc. We were happy just to explore the area on foot over our 3 day stay. The food was pretty standard. We had one fantastic meal the last night there when when asked for recommendations for a true, Thai meal. It was spicy and excellent. "

"We had a lovely stay here.. nice clean spacious bungalow, surprisingly decent restaurant food, 2 nice pools to choose from, great view and a 5min walk to Tanote Bay which has the best snorkling, rock jumping and beach chill factor. Other food options, snorkel rental on beach. There are 2 hotel shuttles that come and go to the main pier, otherwise a 400-500 B taxi. Only con is the mosquitoes near the restaurant near twilight - either take insect spray or eat in your room."

"Basic bungalow with fan. You have darkened glass windows and Moskitos nets over the beds. Shampoo and soap as well as toilet paper is provided and the staff cleans and renews bed toppings and towels Every 2 days. The staff is friendly if you yourself are Friendly as well. I stayed at different places in tanote Bay and this one was the best choice for a neat clean and budget sleeping place. They also got a restaurant with okay food (same quality as hole Bay) and you can get a real brewed coffee for breakfast. "

"Location was great, small beach in front of resort. If you walked two minutes, you reach the main Tanote Bay beach. Bungalows were clean, had excellent views and overall staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was pricey - especially as you did not have options to eat at many more places."

"I can't recommend enough Eco Toa Lodge. We chose the deluxe room and our large balcony with sunrise view was breathtaking. I had some solid support from the management regarding a watch forgotten in the previous hotel. The restaurant serving classic Thai food was delicious. Worth noting, for breackfast I also had the best black coffee since my in east asia! A faultless experience "

"We spent 5 nights in Tanote Beach in mountain reef beach resort. The place is on the southern end of the beach. It consists of a couple bungalows and a building with six rooms. We stayed in 2 double rooms which where very clean and spacy. They have nice private terrasses. The place is run by a family. They treated us in a very friendly and polite way. We really liked to be here and recommend this place to everyone who likes quite, charming and small places ...."
