The family that ran Tanouy Garden were so friendly and really helpful, they organised my trip to Koh Lanta, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the resort for you. Great restaurant, I stayed in a room with fan & shared bathroom for 350bht per night with various different rooms to bungalows up to maybe $1000 bht per night. Great location in Baan Tai and close to Haad Rin beach where the full moon party is.Discounted air conditioned bungalows also available from 750bht upwards,great views.I met a lovely,friendly group of people around the pool area, who became a group of friends and we all had goodbye gathering one night on a balcony of a couple that were leaving the following morning. I would highly recommend this resort, as you can choose to socialise by the pool area or take time away from the hussle and bustle of the tourists areas. I heard of many motorbike rental shops overpricing minor damaged motorbikes, Nam offered To pay the difference if it was over 2000 bht.

Relaxing Stay”
My brother and I stayed a few days at Tanouy, and enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere. The staff is what makes this place great. I called them a day before, and they offered to pick us up from the pier (saving $$$ = awesome). They are helpful to any inquires you may have in your trip around Koh Phangan, and they're welcoming of their guests. Note that it's an island so problems will happen like WiFi needing to be fixed... but their hospitable and considerate nature makes all the (uncontrollable) problems less important. The Thai food here is great...but I personally have never been to a place where Thai food wasn't great (except shopping malls). Other Pros: Sasiton Tongmak is helpful, always smiling, and will go drinking with you if you let him :) The backyard is a mountain, Your neighbor across the road has a beach, and it's a very quiet area. Cons: Beer prices. Need a discounted price for those who drink beer like water haha

Great Deal! Love the location!”
We grabbed a great deal on agoda.com for $9 room with shared bathroom. Loved it! The hotel is easy to find. The taxis know where to go. It's a little outside of town, in Baan Tai on the mountain side of the road. The beach is a short 3 minute walk down a driveway across the street. At low tide you can walk to other cool beaches to the left and right once you're by the sea. We preferred the beaches to the right. The staff greeted us warmly. It seemed like the whole family plus some were all living there. The room was on the small side. It wasn't it's own bungalow but a room in a building with two shower/bathrooms at the end of the open hall. There was a bed, tv, and two tiny chairs. We often moved the chairs to the hallway to hangout outside. There are no screens in the windows and I have to say the room got hot. We opened the windows and sctually didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. Maybe bring extra rellepent or a net just in case? We ate a few meals there. They were good but a little on the pricey side which is the only downside to staying on that part of the island. Not a lot of restaurant options. There are a few little shops that sell chips, beer, water, etc. down by the road. The pool was my favorite part. We always had it to ourselves. It was clean,deep, and cool. So nice after spending the day at the shallow beaches. If they had more availability for the cheap deal, we would've stayed longer. Not as crowded as other parts of the island. Very quiet. 20-30minute walk along the road to cheaper restaurant if you don't want to take a taxi or have a moped.

Quiet, relaxing bungalow getaway”
Tanouy gardens is a series of bungalows set into the hillside at Koh Phangan. They are thai-style wooden bungalows with brilliant views. We ate at the on-site restaurant and didn't have a bad meal all week. The staff were so lovely and helped in any way they could.

Great budget accommodation!”
Had a great experience at Tanouy Garden Resort and ended up extending our stay there. Though there's only a small market across the street from the resort, accessing lively restaurant and shopping areas are a quick 10 minute scooter trip. Scooters were available for rent at a reasonable price and the staff was very helpful. Pool is clean and much nicer than I expected, especially considering what we were paying for our stay. We booked a fan room which was small as far as space to spread out your things, but the bed was large and the two fans kept the room at a nice temperature. For the price this is definitely one of the best places I've stayed in Thai islands

Tanouy Garden = peaceful little paradise!”
Value for money bungalows in a quiet area. The best part is the young guy (we assume is the owner) that he did his utmost to ensure that everything will runs smoothly in order that we can get the most out of our trip! The only little drawback was that the bungalow needs a renovation (not outside but inside!). We had rent a scooter during our staying and was convenient for visiting the island. To rent a scooter, you need a perfect experience of driving otherwise can be dangerous. Well done Tanouy! We are looking forward to our our next visit!

Tidy, friendly staff, comfortable”
We stayed in a double room with aircon and shared bathroom for AUD$15 per night. Well worth the money. The staff were extremely friendly and offered up heaps of info. The internet kept cutting in and out which they followed up with the internet provider to fix. Otherwise great internet, even where the cheaper rooms were located (across the road in a seperate building).The pool looked great and had nice lounge chairs. The only downside is the location. Its not far from the water at all but the beach isn't very nice. We rented a scooter and went up the west coast a few times. We would definitely stay closer to Haad Salad next time- for the beach and restaurant/ general vibe. It just depends what you'd rather be closer to. We would stay here again if we were to stay in Baan Tai again.

had a great time here, lovely setting for the pool, the excellent staff were very friendly and helpful with motorbikes and taxis into tongsalah and anywhere you would like to go.. the pool was really clean and a lovely temperature every day,, i booked to stay here about 4 times all in the same stay about 3 weeks and will definitely pop back when next in koh phangan... thanks for a nice stay tournay gardens....

Beautiful place with great pool”
Quiet, clean place. Our bungalow was really comfortable and had an amazing view! Staff was really nice and food tasty. Tanouy is far away from any shops, bars or other restaurants though. You need a taxi everywhere but that's what makes it peaceful.

Great location and great room”
Stayed here for a couple nights while exploring the island. Overall, this place was excellent. Friendly staff, good restaurant, great rooms. The bungalows are awesome, and ours had an ocean view from the balcony. The room was clean and we had no issues. It is not in any of the towns, but along the main road, so I would suggest renting a scooter or car to see the island and if you want to leave the resort. We did not go in the pool, but it was clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our time here, and it was definitely a good deal for the price. We would not hesitate to return in the future. A+

Staff makes the difference.”
We were booked to stay at Tanouy based on the FM party that never happened. We still believe had the party happened the venue would have been fine as it wasn't really to stay as much to crash. As the party didn't happen we spent more time here and it was fine. It's the staff, specifically Nam that make the difference. Rooms are fine, clean, large. No real shower, no real hot water (somewhat hit and miss). Pool is alright, nothing special but perfect for a dip after a day out. Food is decent for the price, quantity and quality. Have 2 local shops by the hotel to grab some booze and snacks. The closest 7-11 is a bit out, not really walkable. The beach is a super short walk away and very quite and private. As we had to pay a premium due to timing (everything jumps to double or triple around party time) it was an ok stay. However for what folks were getting quoted while we were there, its fine and worth it.

As i said before in a previous review of this hotel "I really really liked it", the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the swimming pool is lovely and clean, there is wifi all around the resort. overall an excellent place to stay... i would definitely stay here in this place again.......

amazing rooms and resort”
this resort was one of the best i have stayed in thailand. the aircon rooms where very spacious and include, sound system, tv and dvd player. the fan rooms where slightly smaller but clean and comfortable. the swimming pool was stunning and kept the sun all day. the staff at the resort were happy to help in anyway. the resort is 5 minutes in a tuc tuc to haad rin and about 10 minutes from the pier. i would highly recommend this hotel. the swimming pool has a great little bar too. the beach is about 2 minutes from the resort. a great stay!
