The best place I've ever stayed.”
Tapik Beach park was without a doubt the best place I've ever stayed. We stayed 3 nights here and 4 nights in main El Nido but we wished we booked Tapik for our whole holiday. My favorite thing about Tapik was the location, it was far away from everything. A place where you can truly relax. To get there we took the 4pm bus which only cost 70 piso, the bus trip was awesome we got to see so much. You catch the bus from El Nido bus terminal, however when we got there and asked about the Tapik bus the shuttle drivers there said there wasn't a bus. There is! Perhaps they don't know about it as Tapik is a fairly new resort. When 4PM came around the bus came and picked us up, it's hard to miss as it has Tapik's logo on the side. The resort was beautiful, there's only about 3 beach huts and a main restaurant and bar building so there's not a lot there (which is nice). The food was really good and the staff were excellent and incredibly helpful. We did Tapik's tour and it was truly incredible. We were taken to some breathtaking places and were the only boat there. The snorkeling was amazing it felt like we swam into the Finding Nemo. We did 2 tours in the other side of El Nido and they were rubbish compared to this. I asked if we could do some fishing and they incorporated it into the tour at no extra charge. We caught 2 fish! The first fish was caught just before we started our snorkeling, when we finished the snorkeling and came back on board the driver of the boat had prepared Kinni Lau (Filipino cerviche) which was delicious. The second fish we caught we had for dinner. Overall the service, location and accommodation was the best we experienced in the whole of the Philippines. I couldn't recommend highly enough, we will definitely come back.

A hidden gem”
We loved our week at the Tapik Beach Park Guest House. It was exactly what we were looking for! We came from Puerto Princessa airport which is a long ride after a flight (about 7 hours) but we found out after that you can fly directly to El Nido (around an hour drive) from Manila. But even the long drive is worth the stay. The beach is breathtaking and you only have to share it with one other very small guesthouse beside it! The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. The food, though maybe a little more expensive then food in El Nido, is delicious and worth every peso. Also there yours are so much better then the ones available in El Nido. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation on a secluded beach with beautiful scenery this place is perfect!

Great place, nice staff”
This is my first time to write a review. My family of 4 stayed there (two cottages) for 3D2N in June 2015. It was a wonderful experience to stay there. On the first day, we rented two kayaks to a nearby uninhabited island for swimming and snorkeling. At night, Randy set up bonfire on the beach and we sat around the bonfire to enjoy sea breeze. The second day Randy brought us to the day tour of several islands around (just 4 of us). The snorkeling areas were amazing with beautiful corals and lot of fishes. The snorkeling sites even better than those of the tours I joined in El Nido. The third day we swam on the beach before we left in the afternoon. Randy and the staff there were very nice and I must thank for their exceptional service. In my opinion, the food there was not bad and reasonably priced and also the cottages were reasonably priced. The disadvantages might be that (i) electricity only run from 6PM to 4AM and (ii) it took about one and half hour to go there from El Nido. However, these were acceptable to me. It was convenient for us to make prior arrangement with Randy for land transfer by van (1500p per single trip, ie 3000p for a round trip) from El Nido to Tapik and return. If I had such a chance in future I would certainly visit Tapik again.

Worth the stay. Beautiful beach and cottages. Great service.”
Tapik Beach Park is two hours away from El Nido and five hours from Puerto Princesa. Despite the long trip, it's worth staying there. The view will give you a relaxing vibe. It's not crowded thus you'll feel like you have a piece of your own beach. We stayed there for five days and four nights - tent camping for two nights and cottage check-in for the last two. Expect that water and electricity will be cut off for some hours during the day. They have a restaurant (neighboring hotel can give you an alternative option) and a neighboring town (20 minutes away) where you can buy cheaper supplies. The staff is friendly and mindful about taking care of their guests. We received confirmation emails and communication soon after our online booking which speaks about their great customer service.

This is the perfect place to escape into yourself and nature. Peaceful tranquility can be found here”
The staff at Tapik have been above and beyond stellar in their customers service. They became my adoptive family for the two weeks I stayed by myself here at tapik beach. The staff and management went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. Now this place is not for the light of heart. Its about an hour to 45 minutes away from El Nido downtown and I preferred it at tapik than El Nido. Electricity goes on from 6pm to 6am and there are fans and mosquito nets set up. I stayed at beach cottage number three and I wish I could have stayed longer. Make sure you catch the sunrise at least once during your stay. I promise you won't regret it. At night, there isn't much to do unless you head to the town Silbalta which is about a 8 minute walk from the guesthouse. Also, be prepared to disconnect from Facebook and all internet since reception is pretty spotty and wifi doesn't always work. Irregardless, I throughly enjoyed my stay, I stayed present and in the moment.

A beautiful place to relax away from everything”
We loved this place! We read the other reviews and thought we had to check it out. It did not disappoint. It's located about an hour away from El Nido, but the hotel will pick you up from El Nido for 70 Pesos if you go at the same time as they take the local villagers. When you get there it is so quiet. We stayed in the big cottage (same price as the other cottage) and it was really comfortable. We had a balcony looking out onto the sea, good bathroom, and a nice bed with a good mosquito net. The food they serve is fantastic. Lots of fresh seafood (you see the local fisherman come every morning to sell them the fish they caught)cooked perfectly, it was by far the best food we had in the Philippines. And on the second night they set up a beautiful candlelit dinner on the beach. Because the resort is on the East coast of Palawan (El Nido is on the West coast), you can see a beautiful sunrise in the morning. We also did a really good island hopping boat trip with them. So different to island hopping in El Nido because there is nobody else around! We had a lovely lunch on our own private beach. All in all, a fantastic stay. A great place to cut yourself off and relax for a few days. It's worthy of all the great reviews it's been getting!

perfect relaxation”
if your definition of a perfect vacation is to read a good book or listen to your favorite playlist sitting on the beach or lying on a "duyan" (hammock) under the tree minus the tourist noises then this place is for you. service is very good. staffs are polite, seem to know how to deal with guests.(supervisor) welcomed us and offered tea when we arrived. he gave us various helpful info. he is very warm, approachable, and will make you feel home. food is good. other than main dishes, ask the serving size for some of their servings are good for 2 or more (not indicated in the menu). beach is low tide most of the time; not a great spot to swim. the tour is amazing. we had 2 snorkeling spots and the experience was just memorable. compare to the snorkeling sites offered in el nido town proper, our spots are way better according to the swiss guy i talked to. we had lunch in an island with white sands and amazing clear water, and the best part of it we had the island all to ourselves.the room we had was a cottage. it was lovely, tidy, very well maintained. had a good sleep, dont forget to bring insect repellent, mosquito net is provided, the resort sells one. the only strange sound i heard at night were the beach waves, isn't that great! the bathroom is small but very clean and has a nice interior. there is no hot shower but water is 24 hours. one downside of the room are the solar-powered lights. its illumination is low. tapik is far from the town proper, have all your necessities with you. buy snacks (chips, candies, late-night finger foods), tapik has limited goodies, the bar closes @ 9pm. the bad experience we had was on our way to the terminal their van had a glitch, we were transferred to a tricycle (15-20 minute ride). other than that, the whole experience was just great! i will definitely come back! =) kudos to mang randy, kuya phen, anne, bert and the rest! tip: if you wanna make new friends stay at the bar; it's a nice spot to meet new people. =)

Friendly and Helpful Staff in Peaceful Area”
This was a great place to go to get a quieter experience away from the busy El Nido. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was very good! I also went on a snorkeling and beach tour nearby that I really enjoyed (it's possible to see reef sharks while snorkeling in this area, and I am told this is one of only a few places where you can see reef sharks just while snorkeling). My one complaint is the van service back and forth. The service seems to always run quite late. They picked me up an hour and a half later than the time posted on Tapik's web site to go there and roughly the same amount of time late to come back. The van service is not run by Tapik, and I understand it is the only van service that goes there, so their hands are a bit tied, but it is something to be aware of so you can work that extra time into your plans. I had already done the Island Tours out of El Nido when I got to Tapik, so this was not an issue for me, but I would recommend not doing one of the Tour A-D tours from Tapik just because the van service tends to run late. When I did Tour A & C myself, we waited about 45 minutes for some people from Tapik to arrive. They were late because of the van. It could just make for a very long day for you, so if it's possible, I would do your tours in El Nido and then come to Tapik and do other things that don't require the van service (though, of course, you will still need the van service coming and going and will just need to be aware that it's likely it will run fairly late). Up to you, of course, but I just wanted to pass on the information.

Really nice and simple place with a lot to offer”
A beautiful and serene place with friendly staff. Good for those who prefer tranquility. Our beach hut had a balcony with a great view of the sea; perfect for sunrise. Food was good albeit slow. Lots of adorable and friendly dogs around. We had fun kayaking, snorkeling and walking out on the beach during low tide. Highlight was the island hopping and snorkeling tour. Shared bathrooms could do with better water pressure and drainage. Could also do away with the pebbles strewn on the floor of the bathroom; looks nice but I don't think it's hygienic. Some animal came into our hut and ate up a banana and chewed on one of our bags. So, don't keep food or rubbish around. The third party van service is a gamble as to what kind of driver and comfort you get; understandable given the circumstances. It's fine for El Nido-Tapik-El Nido. If you're not pinched for time, I suggest getting on a reputable transfer of your choice for Puerto Princesa-El Nido-Puerto Princesa. Lastly, wi-fi was very poor.

Great place, off the beating path”
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Tapik Beach Park Guest House for three days. We absolutely loved the location. There were only a few guests while we were there, but it felt like we were the only ones. Very friendly staff. This is a family run place. Keep in mind that the Guest house is between 45 mins - 1hr 15 min away from El Nido via motor bike. If you are looking for a quite place to stay, this is the place for you!

Very secluded but worth it”
I had a wonderful time at Tapik. The staff was so friendly and amazing and always helped my friend and I with whatever we needed. They booked island hopping trips in El Nido for us and arranged shuttles to and from El Nido. The cottage was adorable and had a wonderful view of the beach. It was a great place to just relax in pure serenity for a few days. There wasn't a lot to do but relax which is exactly what we wanted. It is an hour dirt road trek from El Nido which is a bit rough, but it's worth it because of it's amazing atmosphere. I would totally go back and stay for a couple of days.

Palawan at its best”
Yes, this is a remote place and yes, the road to Tapik is quite bumpy... but quite frankly, location is what we loved best about our stay at Tapik. That and the super friendly staff. El Nido feels so fake and overcrowded compared to the calm and serenity of this place. A special mentions goes to Jake for the incredible island hopping which made us feel like we had the entire Philippines to ourselves, and to Voltaire for going through so much trouble to send me my glasses which I had forgotten at the resort. Honestly hope to go back someday.

Lovely place to stay!”
Had a very good stay at Tapik! It's located right on the beach in the small and non-touristy town of Sibaltan. I just loved the peace and quietness. I had a beachfront tent and it was super to wake up with a seaview and the sound of the waves. Met some great people here to hang out and share meals! The vibe in this place is very good and Leah (from reception) is super friendly and helpfull. But if you want to be in El Nido town, want to have wifi all the time, are not okay with basic accommodation than this is not the place for you. But I really enjoyed it and would 100% recommend!!

Beautiful place! Wonderfull views. The best island”
We stayid 3n/2d jn Tapik in a beach hut and our stay was just great! The views are amaizing, the sun rise jn the beach just unique. The beach Is not the best in El Nido, but the place itself (very isolated and calm), make it perfect. The island hopping Is the best in El nido. You should stay here just lt do this. You wont see nothing similar in theABCD yours in el nido. The others are full if tourist and not so Nice views and snorkling. If you do this, the others in el nido will be a decepcion. Only fees issues we found: the food here Is not so great. Staff should improve this for a a better stay. The Windows of the huts should have nets to mosquitos. Wireless simple does not work at all. Besides this, everything else was just the paradise in earth!

Heavenly awesome”
My girlfriend and I spent a weekend there which was an awesome experience. It's on the other side of the island, though it took sometime to get there from el nido airport, you will be away from flocks of travelers, and into the undeveloped local town. The GH is just by the beach. The room is very clean and the service is wonderful. We took the island hopping trip, which totally worth the price. There are nice areas to do snorkeling, better than what I did later in el nido town. I even saw baby sharks. There's no hot water. Electricity is provided only during the evening. But we didn't feel any inconvenience. So if you go there, get ready for a slow, local and enjoyable stay. Be sure to take your books or you can borrow one from the GH. We look forward to going back.

it was kinda far if u want to explore the town proper”
well the ambiance is good,im just disappointed with the van transfer,we leave Puerto after lunch,we arrive at tapik almost 10 pm.If you want to stay here, better take the standard van and hire a motorcycle ( its almost 1 1/2) motor ride which is exhausting but an adventure also.If you take this set up you could arrive in tapik from puerto for 7 1/2 hours. If you want to take the usual tours at el nido stay in the main town, but if your up for some adventures, stay on that side of the island. Its quiet which is better.

Awesome!”
We are so luck to have stayed here!!! Anyone wanting to meet sincere, caring and genuine people of the Philippines this is an amazing place. If you want the crowded touristy location of el nido this is not for you ! Although it takes an hour by the hotel van to reach, this secluded spot is worth it!! Beautiful and amazing I have many thanks to give the owners and all of the staff at Tapik.

Relaxing”
I would recommend Tapik to anyone. The staff made sure everything was taken care of and even set up a candlelit dinner on the beach. They set up a snorkeling trip that was as nice as in El Nido. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was the perfect location to relax and explore.

Little gem outside of the El Nido tourism industry”
We enjoyed our 4 night stay in Tapik a lot. First of all it was kind of a false booking as we thought it is located in El Nido, but it's a really tough 1- 1,5h ride from El Nido (depends on how crazy the driver is going) But it was totally worth it. Tapik is located directly the beach (not the best one, but Ok) You should totally do the offered Island Tour and rent some Kajaks to check the Mangroves and the little Island close to Tapik. Staff was really friendly to all of us but they could be a little bit more relaxed. The cottages are really basic for the price the ask. We enjoyed the dinners directly on the beach a lot!

Perfect for a romantic couple getaway”
It was the highlight of our stay in El Nido. We stayed for 2 nights only but we really enjoyed our time at Tapik just lounging and beach bumming. Sir Randy and the rest of the staff were all very accommodating and kind :)
