Luxury and Style”
The Tara Angkor hotel Siem Reap is a gorgeous full-service hotel close to the site of Angkor Wat. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had an executive suite for our honeymoon and the staff at the Tara went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From the welcome drink to the fruit basket in the room...we were pampered by their A+ service. We loved the toiletries and the robe/slippers for use in the room. After a long day of sightseeing in the heat, we loved coming back to our hotel to take a dip in the pool, get a massage in the spa, enjoy local food in the restaurant...such a great escape. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap!

Highly recommended hotel”
There is nothing not to like at Tara Angkor. The staff were friendly when picking us up from the Siem Reap Airport. He gave an introduction to the attractions we saw along the way and drove slowly so we could see. And when you enter the rooms, you can feel the comfort of the huge beds and bathrooms. Within the hotel, there is gym, pool and spa and this makes Tara Angkor feels very much like a resort, where you could spent the whole day within the hotel. On top of all these, the buffet breakfast was very appealing and had a wide selection. I will definitely recommend Tara Angkor to anyone visiting Siem Reap (it is near the temples as well)

Loved everything about this hotel!”
We stayed 3 nights in Tara Angkor and this was the best hotel during our 10 days trip. Check-in procedure was smooth and fast. Even though we did not bring along the hotel voucher, it didnt pose a problem for us. Cold towels and lemon grass drinks were served during check-in to welcome you and we were each entitled for a free drink at the bar. The staff always put on a smile and greet you the moment they see you. Room was pretty big and comfortable for two and we loved the King-sized bed. Swimming pool was quite small but still fine. For breakfast, there are a variety of buffet selection to choose from. On the second day of our stay, we forgot to lock the safe deposit box which contained our passports and money. We weren't even aware of it until we came back to the room at night and found a letter from the duty manager to notify us that our safe had been blocked as we left it opened in the morning. The manager, supervisor had checked all the vuluable items in the safe (credit cards, debit cards, Thai baht, USD, Sg currency) and listed them one-by-one in the letter for us to double check. After that, we called up the duty manager who sent someone to open our safe deposit box to verify that nothing was missing and we set a new password. We were very impressed with the honesty of the staff who cleaned our room as well as the overall service of the hotel. We will definitely stay in Tara Angkor if we come back to Siem Reap again!

lovely value-for money-hotel ”
This a a value-for-money hotel with luxurious feel. A four star property with 5 star service and amenities. The breakfast buffet includes both western and Cambodian dishes, with abundant fresh fruits and bread selection. The service from the doormen, to the reception to the hotel outlets, and room attendants is warm and efficient. The location is just $2 tuktuk away from the old market area (around 5 mins. or less) . Tara Angkor Hotel's location remained dry while some other 5 star properties are surrounded by water during the floods. The location of the hotel is in the same boulevard as the Raffles Hotel D'Angkor, Sofitel, and Le Meridien Hotel. It is also a stone's throw from the not-to-be-missed National Museum. (a good 5 minutes walk.) Stay in this property and you will not regret it. This is my 2nd time in Siem Reap and I will not hesitate to stay in Tara again and again should I be visiting this city again.

Value for money”
I was impressed when I stayed at Tara Angkor as a solo traveller in August 2011, so I didn't hesitate to book it for my partner and myself in August 2013. Check-in was relatively easy, but I was disappointed with our room because it was at the end of a long hallway on the ground floor, next to a creaky door to the pool area so we could hear every time people go through the door (it doesn't close softly, it practically slams). I was expecting (perhaps mistakenly) that a superior room for two people would be more spacious, but it seemed tiny compared to the room with twin beds that I stayed in a couple of years ago. Also, I thought it was rude of the bellboy to tell my partner after he gave the bellboy a tip (in Riel), "Do you know this is ONLY [X amount] dollars?" To top it off, the toilet was clogged and wasn't fixed until the next day, so we had to use the restroom at the lobby that night. I requested another room that wasn't on the ground floor and had a bathroom in good working condition, but the hotel was fully booked on our first night so it wasn't until the following day that we were transferred to a more satisfactory room. Our stay was better from that point on. On another note, we thought the food at Tara Angkor was good - we had a late lunch at the Frangipani restaurant after we checked in, and we also enjoyed the buffet breakfast (lots of choices) at Tong Tara restaurant. The hotel's location is also good, as it is on the road to Angkor Wat, and it is a lot quieter than being in the centre of Siem Reap where the markets and restaurants are.

exellent”
This hotel was absolutly exellent in every single way, the room was big with a huge king size bed. Breakfast was amazing! Honestly I have never seen a buffet breakfast this good and it was included in the room rate, they have fresh fruits, pancakes, bacon, stirfry, theres a chief that makes fresh omelets and Khmer soup that's not to be missed in front of you, And so much more. Honestly the hotel felt a little to posh for me and my girlfriend at times. It was definatly one of the fanciest hotels I have stayed in. The staff were all great. Its a 2 USD tuk tuk ride to town, or you can get a tuk tuk to the temples all day for 12-15 USD depending on the circuit, the tuk tuk drivers will always try to get you as a customer the next day, they will be pushy and anoying at times. So we alwayr tried to pick the more humble drivers that wernt in your face and also had different drivers every day to spread the money around a little. If you are here to see the temples of Angkor I would definatly recommend at least the 3 day pass as there are so many temples and Angkor wat itself can take all day if you are into this kind of history, bayon temple is not to be missed and also the prymid temples are pretty mind blowing. 1 day just wont kut it in my opinion. Anyway if you want a super fancy hotel at a super reasonable price, stay here. From my experience most hotels in siem reap will be amazing value for money. Everything is very cheap in siem reap but don't bartter he locals down too low on things and try to tip what you can afford as they aren't very rich in Cambodia, 1 doller goes along way to them. So best to be generous while your here and the people will appreciate it. Cambodians are generally super friendly also. A smile goes a long way.

Best Deal in Siem Reap”
This is the 4th hotel I've stayed at in Siem Reap, and by far my favorite. The Tara hotel chain is well-run and seems to work within any budget. Location was 1 block from the new museum and only minutes to Angkor Wat. Tuk-tuk ride to town took only 5 minutes and costs only $2. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes to ride around in. Buffet breakfast is one of the better ones in Siem Reap. The rooms were very clean and come fully equipped with safe, bathrobe, slippers, daily bottled water, A/C, minibar, laundry, and TV with many international channels. Staff was friendly and attentive. Poolside drinks and snack menu is fabulous. There's also a well-used gym. This is by far the best bargain in town. I brought my elderly parents and they loved it! They spent hours in the pool and on the free internet terminals in the lobby. They even preferred to dine and have drinks at the hotel rather than in town. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely Hotel with great facilities”
we had a pleasant stay at tara angkor. the hotel arranged for their van to pick us up from the airport, which was nice as it was our first time in cambodia. when we checked in, the staff were very friendly, and offered us 'welcome drinks', and had us sit in the lobby to check in instead of the usual, where you check in at the counter. the rooms are clean, spacious and quite well decorated. what we enjoyed was that there was a spa in the hotel itself, which made it convenient to get a massage and not have to flag a tuk tuk to get back to the hotel, then having to bathe again as it's really dusty outside. the angkor wat temples are quite near. lucky, our tuk tuk driver was really friendly, and he was our driver for most of our trip in siem reap. if you like your tuk tuk driver, arrange with him for your other trips. remember to discuss the price before hand! oh, and the breakfast spread is really good. also, i misplace my jacket when i checked in, and they managed to get it back to me without me asking!

Four star price, five star feel”
Great room, huge bath tub although the balcony was tiny. Excellent breakfast and some of the best service I have experienced anywhere in the world. No hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone although aside from the included breakfast, I wouldnt bother with the restaurant. There are many more interesting and far cheaper options in the Siem Reap central area. On the other hand, any extra services you may require are expensive. The laundry service is ridiculously priced. I am not sure what experiences they have with befouled underwear but charging $1.50 to clean ne pair of my pristeen Calvins seemed way over the top. I do not even want to think how much they would want to take care of my jockstrap after a gruelling game of rugby. On the whole though, one of the most pleasing hotel stays I have enjoyed anywhere in the world. Bravo Tara staff, sorry the tip was small but I spent all my money on Absynthe and strangely named cocktails.

Great hotel”
We stayed in the Tara Angkor Hotel for three nights while we explored the ruins at Angkor and what Siem Reap had to offer. The hotel is ideally located between both and tuk-tuks are always available outside the hotel to the left. It costs about $3.00 to go to Siem Reap. Our check in was dealt with promptly while we enjoyed a complimentary drink in the beautiful foyer. We were shown to the room, by a member of the reception staff who was a bit aloof but nonetheless polite and professional. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern. The bathroom was on the small side but adequate. The pool was wonderful and refreshing after a day walking around the ruins, a quick dip was a great way to cool down. Breakfast was included with our room, it was buffet style and had almost everything you could possible need. Transfer to and from the airport was included with our room as we had booked with agoda.com, this was good value as the transfer normally costs $15.00 each way. I would recommend the Tara Angkor to anyone and I would definitely stay there again if I was ever in Siem Reap again.

Beautiful hotel, great location”
we stayed at tara angkor for 3 nights and had the most wonderful stay. upon arrival, we were impressed by the facade and lobby. check in took about 10 mins. our room on the second floor was clean and modern, and had a little balcony overlooking an empty field. bathroom was clean but a bit small (and had a cricket somewhere, which the hotel apologised for). poolside provided a great view of hotel and we had the swimming pool and the sauna) to ourselves for an entire morning. breakfast buffet spread was great (asia and western food), and dinner food at the hotel's restaurant was nice too, just slightly more expensive than restaurants outside. it was one of our birthdays and three staff even surprised us with a huge cake and a birthday song at our doorstep! this personalised service really made our stay such a memorable one. the hotel is slightly out of the city centre (which we really liked!) so it's nice and quiet and really close to angkor wat (10mins by tuk tuk). a tuk tuk ride to pub street took maybe 5 minutes and cost usd2 each way. we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to remain close to all the happening spots, but stay out of the hustle bustle of the city and will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in siem reap.

Tara Angkor Rocks”
I will definitely both backpackers and leisure travelers to stay in Tara Angkor. In terms of pricing, its very reasonable for a 4 star hotel. Hotel staff are all very friendly, and are always ready to provide you with info on what to do in Siem Reap. As for food, the breakfast served up was a good mix of khmer and international food. Gym and other hotel facilities such as free internet and wifi connection in both the hotel lobby and in the room. For people like me, who love to stay connected, this was a perfect play for my 6days stay in Siem Reap:)

Great hotel!!!”
We were very pleased with our stay. We had a 4 days trip in Siem Reap stayed at Tara Angkor Hotel and had a very good memory. The hotel just likes a hip hotel and sounds quite artistic. There is a little gallery in the lobby. The staff overall are polite, nice, and helpful. The room is clean, big ,comfortable and have a little balcony in the Deluxe Room. Specially the toilet is wonderful both have shower and bath inside. The food of hotel also delicious. And the most satisfactory and convenient point is the internet service. There are three computers allow guests to use which is free of charge and with unlimited time. Overall the hotel is wonderful and recommendable for the tourists.

Perfect hotel in Siem Reap”
we loved staying in tara angkor hotel during our 3-day visit to siem reap, and we can strongly recommend it. absolutely attractively priced, the hotel benefits from very authentic but modern facilities, good (and with huge variety) food, and extremely friendly staff. the travellers should not get scared of the note that the hotel is not situated in the very centre of siem reap, because the town itself is a very small territory, thus commuting is peanuts !:)

Great location, service, and value. ”
booked this hotel for 3 days based on a recommendation from a friend who previously stayed at this property. is located in close proximity to the airport as well as the angkor wat grounds. it's no more than 15 minutes to the airport and 10 minutes to angkor wat. in addition, the hotel is about 10 minutes from the center of siem reap. the hotel is a fairly new property with free wifi access in rooms. food was good as most travelers only eat breakfast in the hotel. lunch and dinner crowds are sparse because guests are either out sightseeing or dining in downtown siem reap. rooms are spacious but a little bare. however, most travelers to siem reap don't spend the majority of time in their rooms. so this was not a problem for me. overall great value for the money and a very pleasant stay. would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great hotel for relaxation after sight-seeing”
The Tara Angkor was a great hotel to stay in for relaxation after all-day sight-seeing in the Angkor Complex. The hotel was very full-service and provided lots of information about sight-seeing and hiring guides/tuk tuk drivers. The restaurant was also affordable when compared to restaurants in the area, of course, you could get cheaper food nearer to the town centre of Siem Reap. The pool was also nice and decently-sized. The main cons: the hotel is not really located in a central area, the air conditioning unit was unusually loud (like, I couldn't hear the movie playing on my computer with the air conditioning on), and the pillows were too high. I would recommend staying at Tara Angkor.

Tara Angkor”
Tara Angkor is one of the best hotels that I have been to (and I have been to a number ... including international 6-star internationally branded hotels, and certainly incomparable in terms of value-for-money. From well furnished and appointed rooms that are wonderfully clean and comfortable, to its great breakfast menu (lunch and dinner ala carte menu's not bad either, and a steal compared to prices we had to pay around town, and the friendly, efficient and accomodating service that met us the minute we step through its lobby ... Tara Angkor's certainly THE and only hotel I would stay in if I am ever back in Siem Reap (regretably, that's unlikely! A 5-star recommendation.

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Tara Angkor!”
The four of us friends really enjoyed our stay at the Tara Angkor. In fact, I have convinced my parents to visit Angkor Wat as well, and to stay at the Tara Angkor. The staff at the hotel is very warm. They were generous with providing us many bottles of water throughout the day, and turned over our beds nightly. The hotel provided the perfect respite from the exhausting temple tours in hot and humid weather. I have no hesitation about recommending the Tara Angkor to anyone who ventures to Siem Reap. The awards (from Expedia and Agoda) are well-deserved! All the best to the hotel.

Cheap price but excellent quality of service”
Hello, I was a solo traveler when I went to Siem Reap. Mr Puti, I think was the name of the hotel driver who picked me up. He was kind and answer my questions regarding the map I got from the airport. When I got to the hotel Somaly helped me. She explained everything I need to know about my accommodation, walked me to my room even though it’s past her shift. I was looking for both Mr Puti and Ms Somaly before I left the hotel as I would like to thank then personally and hand a tip for the quality of service they provided but unfortunately I did not see them there. As for the hotel it’s cheap but it’s very clean, well ventilated and everyone is courteous and accommodating. You get 2 complementary bottles per day, a welcome drink, if your arrival time is past the shuttle service schedule there’s a charge of $14USD otherwise it’s free. The food cost is cheap too, souvenir shop is surprisingly cheap I think I bought all my souvenirs there. The evening lady at the souvenir shop Ms Siek... I forgot the whole first name she’s kind and accommodating too. It was a wonderful experience overall. Thank you Tara Angkor!

Great hotel expensive WiFi in rooms”
Tara Angkor is a new and clean hotel situated a kilometer or so from the main centre of Siem Reap. Tuk tuk travel to the cenre is easy around $2 (too far to walk at night). Extensive and quality brekfast buffet and rooms are good value for money. Free wifi only in the lobby area not in rooms; the cost is $15 per day if you want to work in your room which would be a major reason why I would not choose this hotel for future business stays in Siem Reap even though the rooms and service are excellent.
