“Clean and Cozy Stay.. just be ready to chase the host!”
I came as a group, so for me the price was pretty affordable, and the house itself was clean with all new furniture. The kitchen was well equipped too, so we could cook some light meals. But the cons are: 1. The host was hard to reach. The listing’s description of the "villa" was unclear, so I contacted the host to check if the room I booked was suitable for my group, but I got ghosted. I even hesitated to come at first because they were so unresponsive. 2. Even after arrival, the staff were difficult to reach. There was no one at the reception. We didn’t have mobile reception inside the house, and it wasn’t just me. Everyone in our group had different telcos, and all the lines were bad. We needed the Wi-Fi, but they didn’t share the password. I had to go outside just to get a signal. They gave around 10 contact numbers, but I only got a reply from the 5th or 6th one. When I finally got the Wi-Fi and asked, “Which number should I contact exactly? Why is it so hard to reach you guys?” they just replied, “Ada apa ye?” (“What do you want?”) instead of apologizing or pointing to an active contact. Also, the number they pasted on the wall wasn’t reachable at all. 3. Room layout was not very practical and there was limited space for prayer. The bedroom for 5 was quite small, and there was no closet provided, so it was hard to find space for our bags. Thank God we didnt stay in that room as five people, we wouldn’t have known where to put all our stuff. The limited space also made it a bit difficult to pray inside the room, so it was more comfortable to pray in the open area (TV and kitchen space). 4. The location is a bit far from the beach if you don’t have transport. There’s actually a gate near Tatami, but it’s locked, so you’ll have to walk to the guardhouse, which is further at the back. 5. Minor issue, the TV only has free channels. So it can get a little boring if you’re staying indoors. Overall, it really depends on your trip and what you need. For me, the house was nice and had all the basic necessities. The price was affordable, and I’m glad I booked the 2-bedroom villa instead of 2 separate rooms. The rooms are small, so having the open area to hang out in was great. However, the host and staff really need to improve their customer service. I understand it’s a self-check-in, but guests should still be able to reach someone when needed. If you don’t mind the communication issues and limited space, and just want a comfy place to stay, this could still work for you. But if you think you’ll need assistance or more room to move around, take note of what I’ve shared. P.S. I’m sharing this review to provide constructive feedback, not to criticize. This is a good place with potential, and I hope the host can use this to improve communication and guest support for future stays.
