A great hotel”

Rooms, late checkout, travel desk

This was a really good hotel to explore Yangon. There website needs new photos as the current ones don't do it justice. The was immaculate and our room was above our expectations (we booked the second level, I think it was called Premier). It was a good size (a cot was included and it fit easily in that room size) with a huge modern, clean bathroom including a large bath. Strongly recommended for the price! Their travel desk run by SkyRide travel (www.skyridetravelmyanmar.com) was also exceptional. We struggled to book domestic flights from overseas and they efficiently took care of everything with only a small charge. SuSu is wonderful- efficient, reliable and has great communication via email for international visitors to plan their trip. They can also be contacted for special rates at Taw Win Garden Hotel. Regardless of where you stay I couldn't recommend SkyRide and SuSu moe!

Taw Win Garden stay”

Buffet breakfast, location, quiet air conditioning

We actually stayed at the Taw Win Garden twice, first when we first arrived in Yangon and then again after traveling to another part of Myanmar. Both stays were were satisfactory. The staff was very helpful and friendly and was able to communicate well in English. The buffet breakfast selection was varied with some different ethnic foods as well as typical western food, which made our breakfast experience more delightful. The hotel lobby is on the fourth floor of the building; the first three floors are a shopping mall. If we were to return to Yangon in the future, we would likely stay at the Taw Win Garden again.

Great hotel”

Always stay at the Taw Win Garden when I'm in Yangon, have been there several times now. All of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and kept very clean. The lobby bar area is a nice place to have a drink and some quiet time. The bar's not very busy, which may not suit some, but I like it. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Yangon, whether it's for business or pleasure.

Very good”

Staff attitude, cleanliness, location

This hotel is a real 'find' in Yangon, which has become quite ridiculous in terms of cost and facilities. I will be glad to return. There are, however, a few issues, one of which is the very poor wifi I experienced throughout my 7 days stay. Yet a colleague in another room had good wifi?? Also - English language skills of some of the reception staff require enhancement - but there was always an experienced manager on duty who had good fluency in English, so no major problems arose. I was very impressed with the housekeeping staff and their manager, Daniel, all of whom went out of their way to be of assistance to me. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with good overall facilities., although the bed was just a little hard for me. But this is an individual 'thing' - what's hard for one is soft for another. I recommend Taw Win Garden Hotel.

Location, Room condition, Toilet

This is my 2nd visit and stay in Taw Win Garden Hotel. This is good hotel for solo travellers and business travellers. Breakfast is not really great but, acceptable. Housekeeping service is excellent. Hotel staffs are all kind and very helpful. Taw Win Centre is very famous for local so, if you catch a taxi, taxi drivers well know about where you go exactly.

Clean, friendly, Safe”

Clean, friendly, Safe

Having stayed in several Yangon Hotels previously, it was great to find this one. Internet works and is an OK speed. No power failures at all (not even 1!) The staff were the usual Myanmar friendly and helpful, (except the girl on the tours desk, a bit aggressive). The business services area, is functional, and everything works!! (if this is your first trip here, working printers, scanners , fax is a big deal). Food and services are on the expensive side compared to other Yangon hotels, but its still mighty cheap compared to Australia. Breakfast was also great, things are cooked fresh as required, and not a mountain of things pre done. Room was spacious, clean, and well kept, The air conditioner runs 24/7 (nice walking in after being out for any length of time) The safe is secured (odd that most hotels have a safe and its not anchored to anything!) I felt safe, and that my gear was secure (Refer to a previous post for a different Yangon hotel for context) I really liked this hotel, and will stay here again.

Excellent location and great service!”

There is a local mall right beside the hotel for eateries and last minute shopping. Rooms were very comfy and staff were very attentive.

After staying in 3 different hotels in Myanmar, we'd have to say Ta Win Garden Hotel in Yangon was far the best experience we had. The rooms were huge and the showers had good water pressure and hot enough during winter months when we were there. There was hardly any noise in the night and we had a very good night sleep. The breakfast selection was huge and very impressive. We'd definitely stay here again!

Ta Win Garden”

Location, Breakfast, Value

Walking in to the Taw Win Garden Hotel from the noisy, hot and bustling street took me to a different world. Cool, spacious and opulent marble made a welcome impression. Staff were efficient, courteous and attentitive. The room was spacious and well presented and our room had an excellent view of Shwe Dagon Pagola and many other pagodas. We only ate breakfast there, so I can't comment on the other food but breakfast was fresh and a huge range to choose from, estern and asian. The coffee was a bit ordinary, but it is hard to find really good coffee in Myanmar. In the same building is a shopping mall, including a supermarket in the basement. Taxis wait outside the hotel and it is across the road from the local train station (300kyt to Rangoon Central). It is only a 15 minute walk to downtown and there are some restaurants within a fe minutes walk as well as innumerable street stall eating options. Overall, I felt it to be excellent value for money and definitely reccomend it.

Great location, awesome guest service and excellent Wi-Fi!”

I genuinely enjoyed my stay at Taw Win Garden Hotel. I specifically would like to highlight how responsive and attentive to detail the GM and his staff are to their guests. Each time there was a minor issue or request, the team was quick to address them. I am glad to see the service at such a high level. The entire experience from check-in to dining to internet access to the connected shopping mall exceeded my expectation. I am looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Mr KZ Wai!

Staff, cleanliness, room size

The Taw Win is one of the few mid-range hotels that I was able to find in Yangon. Large, clean rooms, and the staff were consistently pleasant and professional. Supermarket in the mall below the hotel a plus. Rooms facing the street can be noisy.

Last evenings stay in Rangon”

Prior Requests fulfilled, sumptuous breakfast, staff assistance.

My daughter and I had been travelling across Myanmar and the Taw Win was our celebratory last night stay in what I would consider an expensive hotel in town. I had read previous reviews and requested a room with a view of the Shew Dagon Pagoda, this was activated, and the room with large balcony was stunning. The breakfast buffet was sensational, Myanmar, Malaysian, Singaporean, Chienese, and Eurpean food on offer, and all delicious. Staff considerate and ably assisted with a range of responses.

The location was great. It was situated on the main Pyay Road. Easy for taxi drivers to find since it was the same place as well-known Taw Win shopping center. The compound was nice and not noisy as surrounded by a number of foreign embassies and national museum. Room was spacious with fainted garden view. My room was equipped with adequate lights with working table and upscale office chair with leather and curved arm rest. Breakfast was variety. Next trip I will stay here again.

Exceptional Service and very friendly too!”

My wife and I have just had an eight-night stay in this very large hotel in Yangon. I have often heard that large hotels can be very impersonal but this was not true in this case. Upon arrival we were treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism by the delightful receptionists on duty, and every day the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and always enquired if we were getting on OK and if there was anything more they could do for us, indeed, any requests that we made from our room for anything were dealt with immediately; we were left in no doubt that the hotel valued us as individuals and not just as clients - quite a difference to what we have been used to elsewhere in the world! Our room was exceptionally well appointed, quiet, and came with air-conditioning that you could actually control! The bathroom was large and the shower was superb, really very powerful! The room was serviced to perfection every day without fail. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every day; the brea

Nice, Clean and Comfortable”

Location, Room, Environment

I have no idea with other guest mentioned that smell? What smell? I dont smell anything bad in the hotel. Something must be wrong with their nose or that smell is no longer there. I have no issue at all. Staff is good, fast check in and check out. They even called me from my room to see if there's anything else they could do for me. Location wise is good and near to event park. Can easily get taxi outside of hotel which is a good thing. Opposite hotel is small but sufficient food stall where I got my dinner. Beside the hotel and opposite of hotel there are supermarket where you can get your necessities. Room is comfortable and I have no complain at all. Breakfast was fantastic with mixture of local food, western and eastern food. Too bad no swimming pool but there's mini gym which I did not have chance to explore. Security is good too. Myanmar is generally safe in Yangon. I'll rate 9 out of 10. Will definitely return to this hotel for my next stay.
