We've stayed in a family room in Taw Win Myanmar Hotel for 3 days and we've enjoyed it very much. firstly the hotel looks very decent and the room is quite clean and spacious. We have more than enough space to put aside our 3 luggages. Televisions in the room are even provided Chinese channels, which makes my parents feel at home. secondly the staff in the hotel provides excellent service. They can speak very good english and a little bit Chinese. Car and trip booking are available at the reception counter. I've booked two days' trip from this hotel, and the reception staffs are very patient and friendly helping me to plan for the itinerary. Thirdly, the food provided by the hotel is quite good, especially Chinese food. Food menu is even provided Chinese version and it is easy for my parents to make order. Breakfast is also not bad given it provides a few food selections. fourly, the location of the hotel is fine as it is in Chinatown, where has some clothing and fruit stores nearby. However, there are a few points where the hotel might need to improve. First there is mosquito in the room; secondly, the family room washroom door can't be locked properly ( the lock is spoiled); thirdly, it might be better if the hotel can provide more choices for dining such as more western cuisines. Overall the hotel is quite comfortable and convenient, good value for money.

I feel good with Taw Win Hotel. If I have a chance to visit Mandalay again, Taw Win Hotel will be my first choice because I like their staff and location. I and my friends agree that we don't like some night shift staff whose attitude and character does not meet our pleasure but our feeling is compensated by other polite and friendly staff. Some cleaner using elevator to transfer the all amenity for the rooms. We don t mind about that with good comprehension but she should not stop the elevator and spending her time for chatting on mobile phone. We wait for the elevator who never come to my floor. We decide to walk down to the ground floor and we see a cleaner stop the elevator and chatting on her phone

Good deal in Mandalay”
Our first stay in Myanmar sadly didn't set the standard for the rest of our 4 week trip. Taw Win Myanmar was by far the best deal we had, especially for the price we had to pay (40 US$) for a double room. Hotel seemed fairly new, was well maintained and close to the city centre. Free loan bikes were a nice touch and convenient to explore the city.

The room is clean and big with everything we needed. The hotel staff are very friendly who providing excellent services and useful information for us patiently. The location of hotel is good which next to the supermarket (1 min). I would definitely stay in this hotel again in the next time to Mandalay.

Good service of the staff, good location and clean”
I love to stay in this hotel because of good location and very helpful staff. Wifi also not so bad and breakfast also good. I m long stay customer of this hotel. The staff made me feel like a home and they are very warmly. The location is easy to going out and near the Mandalay palace also. So I can do walking exercise at my free time .

Dont delay in Mandalay”
The breakfast room and the elevator are almost too small for the hotel. Other than that the breakfast was probably one of the best we had in Myanmar and the room was also one of the better ones we experienced in out two week visit. Would recommend and would stay here again if I ever come thru Mandalay ( which sadly ranks as one of the least interesting / exciting destinations we experienced in Myanmar ).

Excellent service from front desk staff.”
Big room, good breakfast and impressive service from front desk staff. It located in China town area where it closed to many shops, supermarket, bakery and fruit shops. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant nearby that we can just go there for dinner. The hotel is also not far from a free shuttle bus stop to Mandalay airport. It's only a walking distance but if you have few luggages, best is to catch taxi.

Good stay but can improve on hot shower”
This hotel is centrally located and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The service staff have been most helpful and this is a highlight of the hotel. The room is one of the biggest that I have had in Myanmar. WIFI wasn't excellent but sufficient for basic use. Breakfast buffet was good and there was quite a variety. One complaint: The shower wasn't hot enough. I was shivering after a shower. Luckily I only had 1 night's stay.

Comfortable stay thanks to good staff”
We had a real Nice stay in this hotel. We prolonged our stay because there was a lot to see in and around Mandalay and we really felt at ease in the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They helped us with everything. The free bikes were a bit of a problem since they could nog provide 4. However,we ended up using 2 of the staffs own bikes. The rooms are small in size but very comfortable. The breakfast was too chinese for my taste. The location is good. Near the palace, 20 minute bikeride from Mandalayhill.

Nice place for a couple nights in Mandalay”
Great location for a couple days in Mandalay - just a short walk to the Eindawya Pagoda and Zegyo Market and a short taxi ride to the Palace and Mandalay Hill for sunset. Breakfast was good and varied daily. The staff was really nice and helped with booking a mini bus for our trip to Kalaw (even though the company told me they were fully booked when I called!). Our bed was soft, the shower hot, and the AC was ice cold - would stay again. Try some local cuisine at Shan Ma Ma - which is right around the corner!

Affordable, Comfortable, Spacious, Friendly Staff”
This is a simple comfortable and clean hotel. Family rooms are able to fit 3 pax instead of 2 as mentioned in Agoda. The staffs are friendly and willing to help. Generally, people are more laid back and chill here in Mandalay. Wifi is available and the speed, depending on the time of the day, it might not work so well. Overall, it has been a good stay and we, girls, enjoyed the spacious room and service of this hotel. We only had breakfast once in the hotel and the spread was decent too.

- Wonderful staff (speak good english), they help with everything,.... - Good food at their restaurant (don't know about breakfast) - rooms were perfect for us ( 2 backpackers Who stayed at some cheap guesthouses), good beds, not noisy, everyday the room get cleaned, ... - Good Location I don't have anything bad to say about this place. If I would go a 2nd time to mandalay, I would definetly stay at this place again as I woud recommend to everybody.

It was a great experience. The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful, efficient and quick to respond to any question. Mandalay is a large urban city so things are not as close as they appear on the map however this hotel was in a central-ish location.

Being ripped off from receptionist”
We arrived at 4 am and asked for a motorbike rental. The receptionist took 20000 kyats (aprox $20) [WITHOUT PETROLEUM] while other motorbike rental shop might take from $10-12. We had no choice but go with that nearly doubled price. The gas was nearly empty (as he hardly touched the petroleum in the motorbike's energy tank by his middle finger] so we headed to a street petroleum vendor to fill it up. At 8pm, he asked us to return the motorbike and asked for 2000 kyats for energy [as he explained the motorbike was filled up fully before]. We did not agree of course and he turned out to force us to pay another 2000 kyats for overtime renting. He explained the motorbike would be rented from 5am-5pm and it was 8pm. So his 20000 kyat rental fee for a DAY would last only 12 hours. Talking about the room, it was clean, but filled up with moth ball smell all over the bed. The hotel was nice located at the central Mandalay.

The hotel is situated at Central Mandalay, very convenient for traveling to sight seeing places. The room was spacious, comfortable bed, clean toilet, AC, free wifi, friendly staffs.
