Great location with good rooms”
Great location right downtown that is within walking distance to many sites and areas. They offer parking a short walk away from the hotel and the rooms are clean and tidy. Would stay again.
Recent ownership change - now Overpriced and poor service and quality”
We stayed a year ago (2016) as it was near my apartment when I had family in. Service was ok, staff was nice, weird design flaws like plugs in unreachable spots, bathroom doors falling apart, but staff was ok and location was excellent. One year later we forgot this and rebooked for the same reason. Apparently a recent ownership change explains this - terrible staff at the front. They do not even look up to say hello when you come in. The night guy acted as if I was some hussy going to run after a man (I was going up to meet my husband, the room was under MY name, and I had no makeup on, a long skirt and conservative top, holding my wedding dress in my hand. He was horrid). The faded print out taped to the wall announced "continental breakfast"). Cheap bread and terrible bagels with tiny containers of PB and cream cheese. Stale croissants out too. Here is the best part - they put out Chocolates still wrapped in the foil of the CAFE NEXT DOOR as a breakfast offering (chocolates said cafe gives out for free, so obviously stolen on a lunch break?). Also asked night guy to bring me salt as my husband needed some for a nasal wash. After he first refused flat out, I had to DEMAND he go to the kitchen to find some. TERRIBLY overpriced for what it is. The location is the only saving grace and it was cleaned to an acceptable level. You'll find many other better places nearby.
