Very comfortable and good location”
Pros- very good location easy walk to everything, comfortable bed and nice room. Cons- doors banged constantly, especially when the cleaners were around. Need to invest in soft close mechanisms, very annoying as my door and bed were shaken every time a door was allowed to bang, difficult to sleep. Some noise from street on level one.
Great Location and Value”
Ten Hill Place is a hotel situated not too far from the city centre and offers a less touristy view of the Edinburgh. Just down the hill from the hotel near the residential area is a park that has a great unobstructed view of arthur's seat. Walking on the other side of town as gives you a small glimpse of the local life in Edinburgh. Beds are comfortable and the service staff are friendly, only thing I have to say that isn't great is that certain elements of the hotel really do feel like a little hospitalish. Good value and decent location.
Absolutely wonderful experience ”
Me and my husband and my son 5years old been to many places around the world and this is the first time i’ve been in UK but as my experience and expectations. This is one of my best Hotel experience i meet UK during our trip. Everything is so amazing. Its just perfect i will be back next vacation with my family. Thank you Ten Hill. Nguyen
Lovely place to stay in Edinburgh. I believe the rooms are newly renovated. Spacious and clean. Nice bathroom. There’s a small fridge and there’s even an Iron & board provided. Big Comfy bed & pillows. With nice staff. It’s just a walk from the different Spots in Edinburgh. I would definitely comeback & recommend it to others.,
Perfect for staying”
Everything was very good. Most of attractive places are nearby. Walking to Waverly Railway Station in 15 mins. Staff was polite. Room was clean. Big shower room with good quality of toiletories. Recommended to stay here.
Very good staff, nice hotel and yummy breakfast!”
I love the hotel all-in-all❤️ Been to many places and this hotel hits a mark in my memory. Staffs are courteous, very good and lots of breakfast choices, though the location is not that near because you need to walk for more than 10 minutes going to the royal mile it is good for exercise and leisure walking though. The room is spacious and very lovely with all the amenities and all the toiletries including tea and coffee set for room use. We love this place and we highly recommend this👍
Comfortable under-stated luxury.”
If in Edinburgh in August for Festival this is a great option. The Pleasance complex is a 2 minute walk away. Rooms very nice, spacious and well finished & furnished. Car Parking is the oinly downside. No on-site car park - one has to use a NCP facility 5 minutes walk away, which is pretty expensive.
Fantastic hotel for visiting Festival Theatre”
Stayed here while attending a show at the nearby Festival Theatre. Hotel is immaculate and in a perfect place for accessing the theatre and the many bars and restaurants in this part of the city. The check in was slick and friendly and the rooms are modern with all you need for a short break. We had the pre theatre menu in the hotel and th food was excellent with service to match. We also had a few drinks in the bar on our return and again th staff were really friendly. The included breakfast was buffet style and all you could wish for was provided, with a great selection of vegetarian items too. All in all a great value hotel in the perfect location for our needs.
This hotel is centrally located close to public transport and in walking distance to many local places of interest and attractions. It is very clean, modern, has super staff and fine dining. We loved this hotel and extended. We look forward to staying again soon! 100% recommend!
DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. The lock to our room broke in the middle of the night so we were locked out of our room, we were given another room but all of our belongings were in our original room so my diabetic girlfriend had to go the night without her medication. The next morning we woke to an envelope with our keycards to our original room saying the issue with the lock had been resolved, however by this point we had overslept due to being kept up so late and missed our train therefore we had to rebook our tickets home which cost £40. When checking out of the hotel we were told the issue was ‘out of their hands’ and we were given £10 off the bill which didn’t reflect the additional costs incurred and stress the issue caused. Will not be staying here again!!
5 Star hotel a must stay while in Edinburgh ”
This is a fantastic hotel in a great location, helpful staff and super comfortable beds, modern rooms with plenty of space- and a fridge essential for longer stays we feel. This is a very relaxing hotel with an amazing range of foods on offer for breakfast, the only thing this hotel doesn't have is a gym. We actually extended our stay in this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it.
A hidden gem”
The location is a short walk from the hustle and bustle from the main attractions and definitely a hidden gem. It is ideally located and every aspect of my stay was exceptional. The greeting and check-in was very warm and friendly with first impressions of the hotel very pleasing. My room was equally spacious, clean and very comfortable. I had a great night sleep with no noise and extremely comfortable. The room was well stocked with toiletries, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits as well as the fruit alternatives. The shower was also amazing great pressure and the temperature was maintained throughout. Breakfast was an additional cost £10 if pre booked which seemed a lot, but you certainly get value for money. Great choice of hot and cold items and buffet self service. It was busy and you didn’t have to wait or queue. Overall a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. This will be my first choice for booking in the future if the price is right.
Frequent traveler to Edinburgh, but first stay at THP. Can say that my stay was wonderfully pleasant with helpful staff, nice restaurant, easy location. Would recommend this hotel and likely stay here again.
Amazing little hotel in the heart of old town”
You cannot beat this hotel on its location, value for money and its friendly service from all members of staff. Highly recommended!
Very happy and satisfied with the services.”
The staff very helpful, friendly and professional.
Convenient and stylish”
This hotel is modern and has its own character. The location is convenient and i was able to walk to places like Edinburgh Castle, Real King's Mary Close and the Georgian House. Main train station is about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Many eateries and convenient stores around. The highlight was the breakfast! They served great cold cuts and hot meals for breakfast. Definitely so worth every penny paid.
Lovely hotel within a lively area”
This hotel was exceptional and located in an area of the City close to a variety of tourist areas and shops. The rooms were very cozy with very comfortable beds. The breakfasts were superb.....another reason to go on a diet!!
Pretty good with exception of small bed sizes”
Overall pretty good. Relatively good location and interior is new and modern. Very comfortable stay. Paid more for room upgrade expecting superior king bed but ended with queen size bed only. Hotel insisted it is the correct standard size but apparently not according to google. Disappointment here but hotel itself is fine.
Hotel was excellent ”
Only 2 complaints which are minor the eating area for breakfast is very warm its uncomfortable may ideal in winter tho and bar staff are definately not quickest would rather move empty glasses about than serve you but overall excellent hotel and would stay here again
Nice hotel - clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were friendly enough and the location was good, just a short 15 minute walk into the main shopping area and to Waverley train station. Up a quiet road which meant a good sleep, especially with the comfy bed. Modern bathroom as well. Everything good, would recommend.
