Find hotels near Tenjin in Fukuoka, Japan

The facilities are excellent and clean. The room seems to be small, but compared with other hotels in Japan, it could not be told to be so small. Wi-Fi is free although the speed is not so fast. The staff are very kind but their English speaking skills still need to be improved, which would be also acceptable considering other hotels in Japan. It takes about 15 minutes from Tenjin subway station, but considering the size of Tenjin station, it would be better to consider more time to reach the platform. There is a convenient store across the hotel, so that any items can be purchased very easily. Breakfast is quite great. Late breakfast made us skip the lunch because the breakfast was more than enough. The thing is the restaurant is overcrowded before 8 o'clock, so that it is recommended to go there after 8.

i travel alone to fukuoka to have an important meeting. the hotel location is very good. just at the south end of tenjin subway underground walk, although quite a walk from the station. the room has good size and was very clean. the best thing about this hotel has to be the frontdesk. employees were very helpful and speak good english. that's the most important thing for non-japanese speaker like me. they recommended really good restaurants and even went out of their way to help me find local souvenirs i would really like to have.

A big shoutout to all the staff interns who were the most helpful people and in particular Mr. Saroz ! My first interaction with the hotel left me slightly disappointed as they rejected my request to leave my luggage prior to my stay, but later could understand why as the reception area was not large to start with. Our check in was smooth and there was an assortment of shampoo and conditioners for you to choose during your stay. The free drinks and chicken soup was a good touch considering the erratic weather outside switching between hot and cold. Rooms were small as per all rooms in japan but sufficient for us to put one small and one medium luggage fully open with some creativity and minimal walkway but we could live with that. The staff members were from different countries and thus communication was not of major problems. Location was 10 mins walk to the Tenjin underground mall and within close proximity of the nakasu are. Cab to the Airport was about 1600Yen.

I normally would not spend this much money for a hotel, and the only reason I did was because I booked last minute and it was the only thing I could find that wasn't an hour away from Tenjin or Hakata. I intend to spend the rest of this review being sore over how expensive it was. Finding the hotel was a little confusing because there are two Nishitetsu Grand Hotels that show up in a Google Maps search. Check in was simple enough that I was able to do it with my limited Japanese. The lobby was crowded with Chinese tour groups, and for as much as I paid, I was a little angry that I didn't get carried to my room in a sedan chair. The entire hotel was beautiful and clean, and the service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I got to my room and saw that everything inside was immaculate and tastefully matched. I had reserved a room for one person, but they gave me a room with two beds. The beds were very comfortable, and slept really well after a night of feasting and drinking with friends in Tenjin. Meals were not included with my reservation, and while there was a water boiler and free tea, but the minibar charged a fee. The major disappointment for me was that I paid so much, and I don't really feel like this hotel provided anything that I couldn't have gotten for half--or even a quarter--of the price. I would not recommend it for humble solo travelers. The only person I would recommend this for is someone who is trying to impress his girlfriend by extravagantly wasting his cash. If you're planning to travel to Fukuoka, always book in advance so you don't get stuck with overly nice, overly expensive places like this.

If you are coming from the airport by taxi, it just costs about 2200Yen for a 15 minute drive. The taxi driver should be ok with Hotel Ascent at Tenjin. If you are coming by subway from the domestic airport, you would stop at Tenjin station. Then, look for signs that point towards Tenjin Chikagai (Tenjin Underground Shopping Street). You might be distracted by the variety of shops there, but head towards the Exit 1 (WEST) at Showa Avenue and Futata. The info counter or any of the multilingual maps located at close intervals in the underground shopping street can help as well. When you see a DHC store, you are heading the right direction. Go up the flight of stairs. Walk one block, passing by a convenience store and Subway. The hotel is located around the corner from Terrazzo Pepecino (an italian eatery which happens to be the restaurant attached to the hotel)

Convenience Hotel in Tenjin area. I stay 1 night here and go to another city and come back to stay 2 nights. First night got bigger room and stay next to my friend room but when I come back, I stay in 8th floor but my friend stay in same room in 3rd floor. Staff that assign rooms should be concentrate a bit things of this. I didn't have breakfast then I don't have comment. The room are clean and if you stay 2 nights, HK will take a bag of towels in front of your door. That mean HK didn't come to clean up your room and FO inform that when checkin as well.

Solaria Nishitetsu is an older hotel but very well maintained. Location is excellent and the hotel is really value for money. Reception is at the 6/F which also houses a lot of good restaurants (Japanese, westerm, Chinese, Italian) and there is also a walkway to Mitsukoshi and Solaria Stage mall. There are various malls and shops within the area. For malls, you have Mitsukoshi, Solaria Plaza, Solaria Stage, Parco which are all connected to the hotel and you also have Tenjin Core and Tenjin Vivre just across the street. Various restaurants as well on the street level. If the weather is too hot or raining, you can just stay indoors and shop/eat. The hotel complex is also located within the Tenjin train and bus station. Easy access to get to any point in Fukuoka. Overall, had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again!

It’s a good place to stay for a vacation in Fukuoka. Although it’s not really a hotel but it’s better than the traditional Japanese hotel as it’s with much more space. And for the location, it’s actually near the Tenjin South Station but you can walk through the underground street to Tenjin Station while enjoying shopping. The room itself is clean and tidy and comfortable. It will be better if there was TV inside the room.

Stayed at the Candeo hotel for 3 nights. Location was very convenient from the Tenjin station, can walk through the underground shopping area. Exiting Tenjin Station, Just follow the signs towards the Kokutai Road/Watanabe Dori area. Nice clean room, mattresses and pillows in Japan are generally on the firm side, and the Candeo hotel was no exception. Reception is on the 9th floor. The breakfast hotel if purchased as part of a package is fair value. The breakfast buffet itself has a variety of Western and Japanese (mostly Japanese) food available. The sky spa located on the 10th floor is very nice, although there's not much of a view, except straight up. And I was never able to see the stars or moon through the clouds. Overall, super convenient location, decent breakfast, and the sky spa is a nice touch. This hotel has very limited paid parking and no gym. I would stay here again.

Court Hotel Tenjin is an ideal place to stay in Fukuoka. Very accessible! Right in the heart of the city but very peaceful environment. My family and I were very happy and satisfied with our 4-night stay there. The room and the facilities are clean. Polite hotel staff. Everything that a Traveler/Tourist need are just right around Court Hotel Tenjin. I would stay at Court Hotel Tenjin again if ever I go back to Fukuoka!

Great staff! The parking is a little tricky to understand but the staff had good english speaking skills and explained the parking to me very well. The expense of the parking is very reasonable and much better than street parking. The location is a little too south for walking to Hakata, Nakasu, or Tenjin in cold weather. The room and the included perks are amazing. One of the best I have experienced in Japan. Even the smoking rooms do not smell like cigarettes. Very impressive. Will definitely stay again if budget allows.

The location is the main winner. You can explore 2 sides of the city divided by the Naka River. It’s right beside the scenic canal which is right across Canal City in Nakasukawabata area where a lot of shopping and food crawls can be done. The hotel is also walking distance from Tenjin area where there are more poshier shopping and food. ACROS Fukuoka with its cascading garden on its step structure is just walking distance. The room and the hotel itself is clean and staffs are friendly. The room we checked into has a huge tub and shower are. There’s also a sofa. We got a free upgrade coz it sure is much bigger than what was in the photos when we booked.

Excellent in terms of value for money. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We have booked a 3-bed room and being given on the top of the building, which we can have a balcony, enjoying the beautiful canal view. The room is much bigger than the standard hotel. Other than 2 twin beds and 1 king size bed, there is a living room, dining room , kitchen and with a toilet and bathroom. Facilities are quite new, microwave and washing machine is with additional value to us. Only limitation is the location, you can only take bus to Hakata or Tenjin and there is no nearby subway. To partly solve the problem, we have taken the taxi from airport to here which costs around 1,500 yen ( luckily, not that expensive)

The hotel is under the Hotel MyStays chain, which is just like the many other chains in Japan. As expected, rooms and bathrooms were small but clean and complete with all the necessary items to ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel is only a three-minute walk from the Tenjin Chikagai and Tenjin Station, and hence the entire city is easily accessible. Tenjin Station is only a few stops from Nakasu Kuwabata, Hakata and the Fukuoka Airport Stations. We did a day-trips to Hiroshima (via Shinkansen from Hakata Station) and Nagasaki (via bus from the Nishitetsu Bus Terminal), which were very easy to get to. The hotel's vicinity has countless restaurants, karaoke centers, drug stores, convenience stores and the traditional yatai at night. It is also within a five- to ten-minute walk to the Daimyo and Imaizumi neighborhood, which is probably the best shopping area in Fukuoka. Not to mention that Tenjin has a Parco, Mitsukoshi, Iwataya, Daimaru, Loft, Tenjin Core, Vivre, Aeon and many other shopping centers! Staff were, as with any other Japanese, extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay in this hotel when in Fukuoka.

Thank you to Miss Aika and her staff for their cheerful service during my stay. Yakuin stn is one stop away from Tenjin stn on the Nishitetsu Line making it very convenient. Hotel operated coin laundry w auto detergent and driers. Short taxi ride to Nakasu area. Average sized Japanese rooms but very clean and well appointed. Supermarket and small restaurants just 5 minute walk away. I will surely they with them again when in Fukuoka. Scott

I stayed this hotel two nights with my mom. Generally, I'm perfectly satisfied with it. It was near to Tenjin, but not located in the middle of downtown so it was quiet. The lobby was spacious and staff members were very nice. And I could easily communicate since there's a Korean staff member. The room was tiny but it's not that uncomfortable. All amenities were great. Actually, the breakfast was not my style but my mom loved it. Totally, it was great experience to stay here.

I had a four night stay in this hotel, and i was very lucky that my single room has promoted to a suite, which i had the biggest room i had ever experienced in Japan ! The location is good, takes about 5 to 10 minutes walk to either the Tenjin or Yakuin station, and accessing to dazaifu station from Yakuin station take less than 30mins. The room is clean n worth for the price!

I got a corner unit in the upper floors and the activity below did not bother my sleep at all. The room may be small, but it has all the amenities you may need (private shower, WiFi, multiple sockets for your charging needs). The location is the best feature as the hotel is located near the shopping malls of Tenjin, and walking distance from the yatai food stalls in Nakasu and Canal City Hakata. Just be aware that the nearest train stations are a bit of a walk away (either Tenjin-Minami station or Nakasukawabata station) so if you are taking the train to or from the airport, this may entail some walking to or from the hotel. The staff are also very accommodating! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel MyStays Fukuoka Tenjin-Minami and I hope to stay again when I get a chance to visit Fukuoka.

we booked this hotel 15min in agoda.com before we check in, due to the guesthouse we booked earlier was horrible condition. the check in is easy and hassle free. i only showed my passport without printing out the voucher. this hotel is near to tenjin station. near to major shopping area, parco & solaria stage. hotel staff is extremely friendly. room is clean. they replace your toilet amenities everyday. worthy for your money.

It’s located at a very interesting building where the lower floors are cowork space. (There’s no cup in the room so I borrowed from office). The reception ladies were very courteous and helpful. They understood basic English but eager to help. The location of the hotel is convenient - adjacent to shopping area and nice restaurants, and plenty of interesting places to explore around. I booked a single room which is small as usual but very cozy. I felt like home there. The decoration is stylish and I love this little place so much. I’ll definitely consider staying here again in tenjin!
