Where to stay in Tennoji
Tennoji hotels & accommodations

The best thing I love about this hotel is that it is just beside the Kintetsu train station, as it is just one train ride away from Kobe and Nara, no transfers needed. So it’s great for exploring other places instead of just being stuck in the Namba area. Secondly it’s great that the airport limousine bus stops right outside the hotel. So convenient specially if you go...

The Osaka Marriott Miyako hotel is beautifully located in downtown Osaka, right next to the Tennoji station and above the Osaka-Abenobashi underground station. From Kansai airport arrivals, take the escalator to 2/F and walk over the pedestrian bridge to the JR station. I bought a train ticket to town for $12. Could have taken the express train for $25 but the regular ...

Coming back from an excellent stay in April 2016, the hotel still remains its standard. Its location is very convenient, within five minutes walk from Tennoji station. The hotel is well equipment with serveral entertainments and a nice bar. The room is spacious, clean and we hardly see any spot of dirts. It should be the well maintainence of all areas that keep its sta...

The hotel is super close to Tennoji station which makes travel in Osaka super easy. The rooms are a bit bigger than a normal Japanese hotel room which is nice. The pre-fabricated bathrooms are a little disappointing however they do their job and they’re kept very clean. Breakfast, I can’t say how disappointing this was. Their photos are totally misleading with no whe...

This is our first experience with a property in the APA chain, and we are impressed. It is a basic hotel which feels like it was built with business travellers in mind. So, expect a small room with good basic necessities – clean, comfy bed and clean bathroom with basic toiletries. The location is wonderful. It is accessible by both the underground mall/walkway and an...

Enjoyable, comfortable stay. Comfortable sized apartment-size rooms. Neat, efficient use of space with flourishes of modern, efficient Japanese design (twin fire escapes, metal doors, motion activated corridor lights etc). Free wi-fi, with Netflix. Kids loved it! Quiet, family neighbourhood. Close to the famous Shitennoji shrine, Tennoji zoo. Has a well stocked super...

Close to S18 subway station (convenient for going to Tennoji station if you're taking Haruka train to/from Kansai airport). Easy to go to Namba/Nippombashi too. Big bathrooms & bedrooms. Building looks aged, but still ok & comfortable. Front desk host & staffs are very friendly & helpful. Thank you very much.

Very nice studio and accessible to several tourist locations like Tennoji Zoo, Tennoji Park and Tsutenkaku Tower. About 10 min walk to the nearest subway terminal (beside police station). About 5 min walk from a grocery. The room was clean when we arrived but for some reason, we kept getting dust bunnies. Shoes were supposed to be left by the door and there's a shelf ...

The hotel is excellent if you are using Kintetsu line and Kansai airport limousine bus service - both within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It is very useful to catch the bus to the airport early morning to avoid the morning peak traffic with the subway. Subway station is a bit further away with about 10 minutes walk, which is fine as it is linked with underground from...

At first I got some difficulities finding the location since Tennoji have a fee different station. Anyway the hotel was good. The entrance was beautiful. They have public bath inside the female cabin. I’ve been to First Cabin in Akihabara but I like this in Tennoji better

Half the time i was cursing myself for choosing this hotel and other half the time i was praising myself for choosing this hotel. Cursing Myself: At least 7 to 10 minutes of walk from the nearest metro station - Ebisucho, a 7 to 10 minutes walk is nothing to worry about if it was a bustling neighborhood but it wasn't and i was travelling alone, it got unnerving when...

This boutique hotel was a gem! Close to tsuruhashi subways station (exit 4 if you have luggage for the lift or exit 3, go left, there will be an alley way, walk down for about a 1/4 mile, turn right when you reach the main road and hotel trad will be on your right about 100 feet from alleyway) or same distance from momodani station (JR line) opposite direction. The ro...

Very comfortable room. Blessed to be placed in a room of 4 person as I’m staying there for 10 nights. It’s clean too. Bed is soft and pillow is rather thin, but no matter as I used the duvet (as it’s summer) as the bottom layer of my pillow. It’s comfy and I slept like a log. Toilet is available at every floor. But shower room & laundry place is only available on the...

Our stay at Hotel International House Osaka was great. The area is clean and peaceful, great for long walks and going about the area. It's accessible and convenient and just a short walk away from 2 train stations and a bus station to and from kansai international airport. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores and malls along the area so everything is w...

Overall it's decent and very clean. Very convenient location as it's very close to Tennoji Station. Take Exit 16 from the Tennoji METRO station. Free ticket to the Harukas 300 observatory which is very nice for tourists! Friendly staff, and there are cup noodles to purchase and a vending machine for drinks at the hostel for your convenience. Bed is quite comfortable, ...

We are a family of four and only a 6-person Japanese room was available at the time of booking. The room is huge with cozy Japanese style decorations, and the price is very reasonable compared to other hotels available at the busy summer time. Bathroom is small but provate with everything we need. We arrived later than 9pm and didn't notice the policy to contact the pr...

I travelled alone for the first time and it was also my first time in Japan. The staff were very friendly and helpful and tried to answer my answers to the best of their abilities, despite the presence of a small language barrier. Breakfast is simple but filling. My single room was big and I had enough room to move about even when my suitcase was open on the floor. The...

Excellent apartment! Super convenient location with 2 subways cross-line, 1 limousine bus directly connected with Kansai airport. The host is a very nice gentleman with great patience caring of his guests. I strong recommend here if you wanna tour around Kansai area, this apartment will be the best short-stay for you!

The room itself is great. It is good for max of 3 persons. The property location is at least 10 minutes walk from the nearest JR Station (Tennoji Station). Not much food outlet near the surrounding of property location, but there are many food outlets near the train station. The place is very dark at night and not much of pedestrians.

The room is big, stylish and spacious. Although it is a love hotel, they allow children to stay if accompanied with adults. Their hotel room has many amenities, robe that can use as towel, pyjamas, brush, hair dryer etc. Very comfortable stay and they have a big bath tub with jacuzzi too. Location is near train station too and washing machine available beside the hotel...

It was so good to stay at this hotel, the room was so big, bigger than we expected. I do recommend this hotel for everyone who come Osaka. Love this place. Staff were polite and did a nice service, some can speak English but some not, anyway they’re still providing a warm service for us. Thanks

Location: Very near Osaka Loop Tsuruhashi Station. Very near a Lawson Store. If you have small children like me it has a nearby playground that my kids enjoyed 😃 Value for Money: I booked super early that’s why I got a good deal. I suggest to plan ahead your trip so that you can also book your hotel early as well Cleanliness: When we arrived, I saw some dust on the ...

Ooooh yeeaa. This hostel is one of the best in comparison to many other good hostel around the world including in Osaka, Japan. Its has very large community room equipped with free TV, hot water & teas. Its location is the most convenient to bus/train stations. Restaurants, supermarket & local shopping are out of this world. For a very very unique restaurant that ...

Took a quick trip with my daughter to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and saw Hotel Awina at a great price. It was about a 40 minute trip by subway and trains to get to USJ but I paid less than a third of the price for hotels next to the property. It was also fairly close to the Dotonbori River-Walk; lots of shopping and fun sights. Staff was very helpful, and with ...

Everything is just perfect and good stay. Love the location and the rooms. Only thing to improve is the guide to check in is confusing. The guide and the email info has different guideline. Need to read two copies otherwise you miss the check in guideline or steps.

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I arrived far later than normal check-in time and was left a note to get me settled in. David, the manager, goes out of his way to help you with bookings, recommendations, and friendly chat— he even bought be some instant noodles one day! The rooms are everything you’d expect out of a hostel however they are BETTER be...

Cheap accommodation in Osaka and close to Doubutsuen Mae station on the red line(Midosuji Line), which connects directly to major stations such as Umeda, Shinsaibashi, and Namba. The staff is friendly, and all the facilities are here, such as a kitchen with utensils( hot water machine, free coffee, and tea) hairdryer after a shower, washing machine but unfortunately no...

The place is just a short 5 minute walk from tennoji station (north exit). Though the signage of the hotel is not that visible because its only written in a bond paper. The tennoji park is just beside the hostel which is great. Everything is just walking distance. And the staffs (volunteers) were so helpful and great.

Staff was very helpful with location to hostel and elsewhere. She waited patiently for my late check-in due to flight delay. At this price and this location, I would recommend it, but if you have suitcase, this might not be the best place as you need to take the very narrow stairs

As the first stop in Japan, I had a very great experience in Mitsuwaya hostel. The location is very convenient, you can walk around 10 mins to get to the metro station, and it’s located in a very quiet area with Osaka central elementary school In the front, so that made my stay in the hostel pretty peaceful and comfortable. The place was really clean, facilities were h...

Everything about this place is excellent! But like every place in Japan, one will need to exercise not being boisterous as the other rooms will be able to hear you. The only suggestion is regarding the check in that requires us to manually input guests data first. If possible all information can be provided in advance so that only the on site camera photo with passpo...

We were a group of 8 people and booked the twin rooms. We stayed in this hotel for 2 days and it was great. The room was spacious and equipped with futon, toilet, sink, air conditioner, and a table, but that was enough for this price. The price is reasonable. The shared bathrooms on the 2nd floor were clean with soap and shampoo, so you need to bring the towel by your...

Accessible to transportation; a direct bus from Osaka international airport will take you to the train station that is just few minutes away from the place. During travel days, you can pop in the nearest subway entrance/ exit to get to the next train line or shopping mall. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Personally feel safe and gives me good confidence in this a...

Surrounded by blocks of dirt cheap restaurants visited only by locals, a 10 min walk straight to the train station that takes you to Osaka's tourist center at every 3 min. Before you book, mind this is a love hotel, which in Japan are usually meant for couples who rent the room by the hour. The rooms, as well the whole building, has an "unusual" decor, but that's part of the fun. You'll also notice unusual props and not your average vending machines, fitting some special needs the normal guests of this hotel may have during their brief s...

We stayed at HG Cozy Hotel No.13 for 6 nights, location, cleanliness and price are all excellent except the air-conditioner. Once you switched on the air-conditioner, soon you will hear a regular 'tapping sound'. The sound is on when the air-conditioner is on, even at night. It's not too loud but you must hear that when you are trying to fall into sleep. It didn't wake...

The center where we were supposed to go for check in was moved. So best to update the instructions given for travelers. The staff were very accommodating. Instructions for self check-in was very easy to understand. Hotel Cozy no 16 is a bit far from bus stop/ train station, so you have to walk a bit (which is fine, because that is morning exercise). We had a little h...

Probably the best stay at our Japan Trip in 2019. Bang for your buck with all amenities included (soap, shampoo, kitchen set, laundry, hot water)! Seriously recommended if you travel as a couple. This was the perfect stay for us in Osaka. Everything was perfectly arranged, and all our needs were met! We were a group of 5 people, and there was just enough room for us all to move comfortably.
