You get what you pay for”
You get what you pay for at Teresek View Hotel. The whole hotel is dated and the room was simple, but clean. The bed was fine and the airconditioning worked great. In our opinion you can't expect much more from a budget hotel, so we were happy with our stay there. The location was good, central in Kuala Tahan close to restaurants and tourist information shops. In the evening it was a bit noisy, but not to much. Wifi was unstable, but acrose the street you can sit on the terrace of a food corner which has a good wifi connection.

Good, simple hotel, very close to boat taxi”
Teresek View Motel provided great, budget accommodation very close to Taman Negara. It is the first hotel up the hill from the water taxis and floating restaurants which makes it a great choice. The rooms were simple but clean and had everything we could have needed.

Good price in a good location”
Good value room. Near to everything in Kuala Tahan overlooking river. Next to shop, bus station, restaurants and river crossing. Room was basic but adequate. Common area was dirty with some dead insects in hall. Also my flip flop got urinated on, presumably by a cat. Quite a few children running about shouting but only during the day. Good value accomodation.

Great Location”
Most reviews here do rate this low, but compared to other hotels around, it is not that bad. It is a 1-star hotel that does not claim to be luxury. The location is very good, it is only a few steps to the park entrance. To us the staff was friendly and the room was simple but clean. There is no breakfast which I welcome because the place to have breakfast is on one of the house boats. You get what you pay for and I think the value for money is worth it. If you seek luxury there are not much choices in Kuala Tehan.

Better than I'd expected!”
Some of the reviews were quite negative but maybe the motel has upped its game! Very comfortable for the price, and an unbeatable location -- the best location of all the accommodation on that side of the river. Right next door, too, is a friendly neighbour who will do your laundry cheaply. Staff don't speak great English but are friendly enough. Sometimes nice sounds of guitar waft up from the boys playing downstairs. The bedroom should have been properly lockable, and the shower was literally above the toilet (so you couldn't shower without soaking the toilet), but other than that I have no complaints.

Bad value for money... But there's worse”
Teresek View is basically bad value for money if you compare with the rest of Malaysia, but it's clean, affordable and the owner is around if you need her. Same goes for the food/nightlife in Kuala Tahan (Taman Niagara is the best in town, but a lot lore expensive) If you come, you come for the trekking, which is great by the way

Good value if sharing”
The motel was fine and the man there gave good advice on what to do in the jungle, the room was ok, a bit shabby but in pretty good shape. The area is quite hard to get accommodation which is why I ended up here and paid more than I would normally but I got a room so it was ok. There wasn't too much to do in the motel and it wasn't right next to the bus stop or the river but the whole village is fairly small so it wasn't far.

One day in taman negara”
It was short but good. Our room was on the road side so traffic was quite loud as the motel is at the top of the hill which leads to the river front. Also no AC remote and a few ants around the room. For where the hotel is (in the middle of the jungle) we thought it was pretty good.

Dismal hotel and no service with a smile”
Before booking my stay at Teresek View Motel I had read reviews of the guesthouse and hotel options in this town - it seemed that good value clean accommodation might be difficult to find. I hoped that by paying more for an airconditioned motel room I might get satisfactory accommodation for the time I was visiting Taman Negara. This was not the case though. Whilst charging a hotel/motel rate, the facilities of this hotel were more of a very very basic guesthouse standard. You got a room with a bed (and a terrytowelling topsheet) and air conditioner unit in it, and a 'bathroom' the size of a toilet with a shower unit added. Staff were hard to find and when anyone was around they seemed uninterested in having any communication with hotel guests. Very disappointing.

Basic comfort for the money”
One of the few hotels you can book online, which shows in the price. Still cheap though, and you get a rather comfort yet simple room. Ac+shower+bed combo really all you need after being in the nature. Wifi is poot and thee staff is a little quirky and there's some dudes hanging around making weird noises, otherwise it's nice and chill.

Good place for the price”
Really good location, next to the entrance to the park (1 minute walking). The hotel is not fancy but the room is quite “good” for the price, we pay about 12€ for a private room with a/c, and own bathroom with hot water.

outdated, damp and over priced but good location”
Rooms were damp and musty, mould in the bathrooms, staff couldn't speak English, aircon leaked, were in end room on 1st floor, every time someone on floor above flushed toilet or used shower it came down a pipe in our bathroom. ..so loud I thought the pipe had burst, woke us up at 5am both mornings. WiFi terrible, over priced for what it was (£15 per night: paid less than this for a lovely hostel in Kuala Lumpur) would not stay again I think worst place I have ever stayed in a year of travelling. Sorry to sound mean but it's the truth, paid for 3 nights left after 2!

Handy location”
The location of this hotel is very convenient. For the price, it is very good value. There is a tourist activity booking agent just next door. Restaurant opposite is quite good too. Everything is walking distance from this hotel

Basic, but sufficient”
This is exactly what I expected or the price I paid; a basic accomodation with nothing fancy about it. Nonetheless we had a great stay; beds were good, AC in the room, and a decent shower with hot water.

Nice place in the Kuala Tanah village”
The room was clean, with air conditioning and hot water. There was no toilet paper though. There is a little balcony with chairs. It's close to the river which separates the Taman Negara park from the village. At the river there are many good floating restaurants. If you are a traveler, for sure it's better to stay in the village then in the resort.

Too noisy with kids running and screaming in halls and voices from reception and at 5am had to get out of bed to tell another room to turn off their Muslim music that was coming from a hallway room window. Wifi did not work in my room., was told to use in reception area where there were no chairs to even sit. Room was clean and they stored my luggage while I went on a half day tour which was helpful. Food street market nearby.
