Agoda Voucher not honored”
This hotel is very clean & modern. WiFi is not consistent and works 60% of the time after numerous attempts. WiFi is also much too slow when it works. Downloading Netflix movies is hit or miss, often a miss. The room is a good size, bathroom is beautiful w/hot water. No water boiler for coffee or tea, no refrigerator and no face clothes or small towels, only larger bath towels. The jacuzzi heater and bubbler was not working & they said that it had to be serviced to get it to function correctly. The reception staff charged our credit card over 600 MXN pesos (about USA $40) more than the total price Agoda stated in their reservation. The hotel would not honor Agoda's price and said that they do not have anything to do with Agoda. Now I have worked with Agoda for years all over the world and this was the first time I ever had this problem. Agoda always appeared to be a good company so I am working on getting this resolved by email. The hotel staff were polite but forceful.
reasonable hotel for traveling ”
It was nice. For a traveller, it might be great. The room was clean. Everything was organized. However, a bit far from central bus station in Cancun. (taking a taxi. took 10mins) Also the connection of wifi was not good. Because of the weather, the room was a little bit humid.
A great downtown hotel ”
A nice clean hotel close to the R1 bus stop and a few local restaurants.
Hotel was fine”
no complaints about this hotel. rooms are very basic but clean. staff is friendly. pool area is clean but basic. location is a little out of the way but buses are very convenient to get into downtown cancun.
I really liked this hotel. location is just a bit away from downtown but you can take a bus less than 1$ and I actually walked to the downtown. It takes about 20~25 mins walk from the bus station to hotel. They have a swimming pool. Staffs are very helpful and they clean everyday. 24 hrs hot shower, fan, A/C, TV and fridge in the room. I would definately come again. Thanks
Clean rooms convenient location”
nice boutique hotel with pool and jacuzzi. close to the downtown area. clean comfortable rooms but small. adequate facilities for a budget hotel. we stayed there 6 nights in total and used it as a base hotel for day trips.

Clean boutique hotel. We stayed 4 nights using it as a base hotel. Very accessible and excellent location. Great for city stay, 20 minutes walk to the pier for Isla del Mujer and downtown area. Hotel restaurant is also a good eat.
my friend and i stayed here 4 nights in total. we did many day trips from here. highly recommended. u can go to the beaches on the hotel zone in the daytime and when you get back to the hotel unwind in the pool or jacuzzi
Value for money”
Clean rooms, friendly staff great accessibility. We stayed 5 nights in total and did several day trips to the beach on the hotel zone and other towns
Downtown Hotel ”
Enjoyed my stay at the Terrracaribe. Rooms serviced every day. Free WiFi which was very good. On the edge of Downtown which was okay for me. Regular buses to beaches.
I stayed here for a week really thought the hotel was great. The staff were very helpful & got taxis for me & then showed where & how to get the buses into Downtown & the Hotel Zone. All cheaap & they run all night. No food after abouot 3.00pm but there is a taco stand across the road & a 10 min walk takes you to a plaza with the usual fast food plaes. The pool is a real bonus.
Wonderful budget option”
Extremely good value for money - clean, basic room, nice swimming pool, great location for visiting Isla Mujeres and only a 20 minute walk from the bus station to take a bus to visit Tulum. Great local food around the corner and extremely cheap bus rides to the hotel room. You can't do better for the price.
Good location and lovly service”
We got there late at night, check in with no problem, air conditioner worked pretty well, but they have no hot water for shower late at night. Service is a big plus, the front desk staff speak English well and they were very helpful.
Good value for an overnight in Cancun”
we had a one night stay in cancun at the start and again at the end of our trip. terracaribe is a basic hotel at a good price. it felt like a safe place to sleep, no frills but they do have a nice pool. the road is a bit loud and the restaurant closes at 4 pm, so dinner at the hotel was not an option when we arrived at 7 (in retrospect we could have ordered pizza so there was an option). i wouldn't stay for a week, but it was just fine for a short stay.
Great service, clean, convenient`”
when i checked in, francisco was incredibly helpful and the process went quickly and smoothly. he and the other staff members were always eager to help and provide recommendations and directions. this is a great alternative to the hotel zone for those seeking to explore the attractions outside the city. it's in downtown, so access to the hotel zone and other attractions in the city are easily accessible by bus and taxi. the room was simple, yet comfortable. air conditioned with comfortable beds, the room and bathroom were impeccably clean. it served as a great base for my excursions throughout the yucatan peninsula. taxis and buses can be easily found on the street and are inexpensive. for the price, this hotel cannot be beat!
Nice hotel for stop en route to Isla Mujeres”
i had an eye infection when i arrived and the guy at the front desk went through the yellow pages trying to find an optometrist close by. he then wrote a note in spanish for the guy the next day. they sorted all our taxis and went beyond the call of duty. great service. the rooms were good value and we were only spending a night there so was fine. it´s out of town but we just needed it for a stop over.
Great hotel in downtown”
great hotel in downtown. i stayed here at the start and end of my visit to mexico very good prices, clean and brilliant staff. victoria + gema on reception were very helpful. breakfast was decent, though there is also a very good juice bar on the opposite corner of the road. pool was nice for a dip to cool off. wifi was good in certain areas, but didn't reach my 1st room, but was fine in my 2nd. it's in a good location for shops, markets and restraunts with lots and lots of local life. good and very cheap bus service (r1 8.5peso) to and from hotel zone and bus station. it's also on the road (av paseo jose lopez portillo) to puerto juarez where you catch the ferry to islas mujeres which is well worth the trip. it's just 6peso on a little collectivos red minibus, there is also a very nice little ruin called el meco just along the road from the port. stay on the minibus as it's a bit down the road, but it's a hidden gem.
Great location but small room”
i stayed 4 nights, it is quit and clean. good room services , the restaurant is good and the prices are reasonable. not far away from transportation, you can get bus no 1 to take you to the hotel zone. downtown is of walking distance. the people in the reception are smiling and very helpful.
Good hotel, nice room”
Plaesant stay, the only thing would be that we had to wait 45 minutes until the room was prepared on the second day and it was 17:00.
