From before staying, I was able to answer questions about meals and rooms, and even after arriving, I was taken care of by a very kind and wonderful brother. The food was delicious and the room was wonderful, it was a very nice time. From the welcome drink to the souvenir baked goods, I felt the hospitality from the beginning to the end, and I thought that by limiting the number of guests, the hospitality and response would not be mixed with roughness. It was really wonderful, and if I have the opportunity to come again, I would definitely like to come here. The brother's story was also interesting, and before leaving, I talked with my boyfriend about wanting to meet that brother at the end, but I checked out and saw him off safely. It was reassuring to have the brother take care of everything from pick-up to send-off. The interior of the room is of course very nice, like the photos, but the view of Beppu from the large window of the room and the coffee and cigarettes on the terrace in the cold air were wonderful. If you stay here, I would definitely like you to check the time and weather of the sunrise the next day and see the sunrise if it doesn't rain.

Exquisite Dinner - Japanese Kaiseki Cuisine: Our dinner consisted of a delectable Japanese kaiseki meal. We had booked our preferred time slot during check-in, choosing from three available options. Following the staff's recommendation, we opted for the mid-range time, allowing us to savor the exquisite dishes at a leisurely pace. The experienced chef meticulously prepared each course, using fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from Oita Prefecture. The attentive staff, fluent in English, provided detailed explanations of each dish, enhancing our dining experience. The highlight of the meal was the incredibly fresh and flavorful Beppu seafood sashimi platter, featuring at least six different varieties. Additionally, the chef's buckwheat noodle soup with its rich and flavorful broth was truly memorable. The和牛shabu-shabu (hotpot) was another culinary delight. The restaurant thoughtfully arranged our seating by the window, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. The partitioned design ensured a private and comfortable dining experience. Traditional Japanese Breakfast: The following morning, we were treated to a traditional Japanese breakfast, featuring a variety of fresh vegetables and seafood, perfectly embodying Japanese culinary culture. The hotel/ryokan is up on the mountain so the air is fresh and absolutely breathtaking. Rooms were nicely furnished and clean - big and spacious room. We had our own private onsen and it was great. You could soak at your own time and the view was lovely. The main onsen at the hotel however was a disaapointment, it was small and no view at all. Just a regular onsen that could fit only 2 people. Both bfast and dinner was awesome! good food and great service. Check-in was fast and professional. A little pricey overall for the stay but it's once in a lifetime.

Staff customer service is excellent. When we first arrived, a staff member came up to our car to help check us in and bring our luggage in. The room was clean and had a self-flushing toilet. Showering right next to the open balcony took a little getting used to, but the open air onsen was amazing. Dinner and breakfast was very traditional Japanese style, it was pretty fancy for what we’re used to, but overall it was good and was an experience that we enjoyed. This stay is on the pricier side and a little difficult to get to, but would still highly recommend as it was one of highlights of our trip.
