Bungalow Suite
Stayed 4 nights in November 2015
Terres Rouges Lodge feels like an oasis... The bungalow rooms are very spacious and well decorated, the hotel grounds are decorated with beautiful local sculptures, the pool is surrounded by plants and the spa is conveniently located by the pool. Hotel service could be improved, particularly the food. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend Terres Rouges Lodge to anyone visiting Banlung.

Elegant place to stay”
The ambience - old style lodge; wonderful pool; second floor dining room overlooking lake
I had an excellent stay, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant staff a little below par occasionally but trying hard. Lovely gracious place to stay. The price I got on Agoda was a great deal, and the gave me another night at that price when I extended.

disappointing for the price”
design, food, view
the food is good (dinner and breakfast), the room and the infrastructure could be great. unfortunately, it is badly maintained, there are spider webs everywhere, dead leaves all over the property. the reception staff was unhelpful (they wouldn't call the bus company to check the schedule and let us wait 10 minutes while talking on the phone when we wanted to check out). it is too bad because a bit of maintaince, friendly staff and a soul to the place could make it great! in the meantime there are nicer places to stay at for a third of the money.

Fantastic buildings but pooly managed”
spacoiusness, decor, price
This could be a really fantastic hotel - the bungalows / rooms are magnificent - but the management is lousy and there is poor attention to detail. Towels not changed for 3 days in the wet season were nearly groeing mushrooms by the time we left. The wastebin, containing fruit peel etc was not emptied and was beginning to ferment. Toilet paper wasn't replaced and the free daily water bottles not provided. Breakfast the first morning had only one choice (noodle soup), but still took 25 minutes to prepare. The Basil Fawlty style information pack insists that you leave the key at reception when going out, but reception closes before 10 pm and you have to find somebody to wake them up to get your key back...

Lovely hotel but disinterested management”
Peaceful and quiet; swimming pool , nicely laid out rooms
This hotel was lovely - beautifully designed rooms and gardens. We work in Cambodia and this was a chance to get away from the day to day pressures. The hotel surroundings do give that but the senior staff were decidedly unhelpful when advice was sought about travel options from the hotel. The hotel itself is also in a slightly inconvenient place - too far for a quick walk to the town centre and with poor lighting at night between the town and the hotel.

very comfortable lodge - mosquitos only problem”
great room, good food in restaurant overlooking lake
enjoyed our stay here - great room with 2 huge beds, well furnished - would have liked mosquito nets though as we were bitten here more than anywhere in cambodia despite deet and fans. food in the restaurant is very good, excellent buffet breakfast and lovely views over the lake. arranged 6 hour trek with local guide from here which we both enjoyed, and rented good quality mountain bikes for a cycle to the waterfalls.

beautiful hotel!”
the hotel was beautiful and in a nice location
The hotel was beautiful and was very quiet and peaceful. The room was large and very comfortable and quiet. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice. The restaurant has a nice view of the lake and a very large menu of Khmer, French, and Italian food. We ate almost all of our meals at the hotel. My husband got sick one evening from eating the salad, but the other meals were all fine. The French onion soup was very good! The hotel offered tours, but we did not take any of these. It also had a gift shop. The staff were friendly and spoke English well.

Good hotel in peaceful location”
Good sized rooms overlooking the pretty garden Excellent swimming pool.
Very quiet location with beautiful gardens. Wooden buildings so noise travels especially if people leave early in the morning and drag their cases across the floor above! Wonderful swimming pool and bar area with helpful staff. Breakfast not included.
