Cold vegetables cold noodles
Cold coffee for breakfast
Nice room but very bad lighting, cannot read a book in room.
Some days maids replaced coffee. Some days got hand towels some days bath mat. Renovating pool area at the moment, not very serviceable at present.
The hotel lobby was not very brightly lit and there was a lot of mosquitoes around. During the first night of our stay there was no wi-fi, however the staff were very efficient in rectifying the problem within 24 hrs. Breakfast choices could be improved, some dishes were delicious while some were bland and greasy. Bathroom was clean but a little run down. Suggestion to provide larger sized bedroom slippers. Laundramat was just 5 mins down the street, as well as massage parlour, salon and a few restaurants. Do try the Korean bbq buffet and the steam boat next door. Not much privacy from the steert pedestrian when using the pool. However a few brave souls were enjoying the water. Overall the stay was enjoyable and money for value.
- staff cannot speak english
- customer majority is chinese
- Because of their bad english, i understood something completely wrong and had to pay way much more even though it was unecessary
- I rather recommend a good hostel, which is much cleaner and where the staff understands what you want
- facilities, especially the bathroom, was awful and not clean at all
An expericence othe customers should not have to make. ”
The presentation of the hotel on your web-pages is misleading and resulted in one of my worst experience with AGODA; value for money is not given.
Hotel run-down and very dirty, badly maintained. I am not a racist but with an over 95% Chinese clientele, the anticipated atmosphere is spoiled. The food is of unacceptably low quality and fully directed towards the Chinese clientele. The hotel is as well the Siem Reap branch office of the Cambodian-Chinese chamber of commerce, which says all……
The carpet between the beds was extremely dirty and most probably a breading place for disease. The bathroom was badly maintained and very dirty as well.
The only positive experience were the beds, quite comfortable. I can strongly recommend any potential customer not to book the Hotel!
Breakfast was very poor
Juice tasted like cordial & water
Slow to refill fruits etc
Often a long line to get eggs
I had to continually ask for bathroom supplies
Wifi virtually non existent except at front counter
I was unable to get an account or a total at end of the stay or pay in cash
I was told that was between myself & Agoda
Front staff very helpful in changing room when the one we were given had AC that didn't work
Checked out several other hotels nearby & they represented much better value for money
We will not stay here again
I'd go back. I will go back.
Room - great - but get a terrace room.
Staff - fantastic
Pool - superb
Location - perfect - quiet ; leafy ; short trip by Tuk Tuk to Temples.
Biggest negative - not the breakfast which , was let's say, adequate - mostly designed for the palates of the swarms of Chinese tourists on bus tours who stay at the Hotel ( on that note, they are gone by 0800 , return 1600 - 1700 ; so have breakfast either very early , or after 0800 )
The biggest negative was the feeding frenzy and noise and utter mess generated by the other guests at breakfast.
My advice would be - having seen the result of hundreds of hands on the buffet, the coughing , the spitting , the refuse littering the tables and floors - await the replenishment of the breakfast buffet. Don't eat from a desecrated buffet!
The Casa Angkor is well located, being near the centre of Siem Reap and a 10 minute walk to pub street. The hotel was generally clean for both the facilities and the rooms. Free wifi is also available.
However, the wifi generally doesn't extend to the rooms, so you need to be in the pool area (which is full of mosquitoes) or the lobby to access it. My room had low water pressure through the shower, I suspect due to the shower head being fully of rust or calcium buildup. The hot water didn't last for long either, maybe for 2 minutes or so.
In saying that, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and free bottled water is provided. Breakfast is of fairly good quality and variety if you get there before 9am.
I would return to the hotel, although despite its flaws, it is a good location. And considering the cost, I still believe it has value for money. As they say in Asia, Sabah sabai.

Casa Angkor Hotel”
Room decor, comfort and breakfast
Very comfortable stay for a four-star hotel in Siem Reap, with a good location as well.
