Location was excellent, staff was very helpful, room was very clean
This hotel is on a quiet street and in an excellent location of Hanoi. You can walk to many attractions in Hanoi. There are many restaurants in the area and you are close to The Lake. The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms were very clean. The price was very competitive, also. I will stay there in the future.
Comfortable room. Location good for sightseeing and restaurants,
Internet available, luggage can be left while on trips, staff very helpful, street can be a little noisy at night, good value for money

“Great service and Nice in the warm weather!”
We stayed in Sapa during the end of March, it was freezing. We paid an extra $10 USD for an electric heater and were given assistance with lighting a fire.
The hotel staff were pleasant but the staff working in the hotel restaurant were brilliant and provided some amazing, hearty meals for us!
The hotel would be appreciated more in warmer weather!

“The best customer service”
The people. Ms Thuy and Miss Thuy
due to a couple having their passports stolen & staying on longer at hanoi old centre hotel, we were transferred to a sister hotel called hotel posh. this was lovely. big room which had shutters and small balcony which overlooked road, shops and houses.in heart of old quarter.
we had a great stay there but every morning went round to old centre hotel for breakfast. the banana pancakes and the omeletes wefre delicious. but we also went round to catch up with the staff and in particular. she was so good and organised all our train transportation and tour to halong bay. all the staff were so friendly and helpful . we felt very welcome and it truly made our trip to vietnam. they even stored our large suitcase for about 4 days when we went to hoi an and arranged to pick us up from station. then allowed us have wash etc before catching plane to nz. once again organising taxi to airport. lovely people

“Amazing Staff, great location”
Stayed in this hotel on our recent trip through South East Asia, the room was rather small and not very modern, but the staff were absolutely amazing, and made us feel like we were part of the family. The location is great, just around the corner from the French Quarter and the lake, couldn't be better, and it's pretty cheap as well, so an absolute bargain
My partner and i arrived early in the morning and have inform them about checking in early via email. Unfortunately the person whom i have liaised with on the email did not inform the person of the other shift. Breakfast was provided reluctantly by the hotel. Breakfast was not really wonderful as compared to the other hotels we have stayed in Vietnam.
My room was on the 2nd level facing the street. The room was a bit dusty when we move in. I found a coin of another nationality under the curtains which probably meant that they did not clean the room properly.
We arrived after midnight and told that we would have to stay in a different hotel due to a problem with our room. I became cynical of all the wonderful reviews we had read about this place. However, the replacement hotel was only 2 doors down and actually more expensive. Furthermore, the problem was resolved the next morning and from this point onwards the charming staff went out of their way to make up for this hiccup. They even offered us dinner with some of the staff one evening! One of the best bits about this place was their ability to help us organise a brilliant final few days in VN: Halong Bay (we went with Calypso Cruiser), cookery classes (Blue Butterfly), massages, water puppets and the airport taxi. All of this was done with a big friendly smile and we weren’t once disappointed with their recommendations. The room was nice too (if a little noisy in the mornings) but it was the staff who made this place so special.

“Charming and basic in Old part of town”
Located in the hecticly busy old part of the city close to markets, shops and cheap restaurants. Clean
the staff are very firendly and efficient. they have a taxi chap to take you to the airport - prepaid. rooms are smallish with tiny windows. strip lighting - some of the lights don't work. hot water boiler in the bathroom heated up quickly.
adequate breakfast included, you get a small baguette with either eggs or butter & jam or chinese food.

“Bang for buck with breaky”
Location and price
We got a freest deal to begin with and when we arrived we wee informed no small rooms were available so we had to be upgraded for free to a family size room. Desk service was friendly and helpful. Location is a short walk from the lake and local markets and restaurants.
Would stay here again especially if you are on a tight budget.

“Helpful service in great location”
Flexible hotel, clean rooms, great location
this hotel was a lifesaver. we came into hanoi at the end of a two week journey and wanted a nice break, and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. it was recommended to me by my friend who lives in hanoi and i was very happy with it. we desperately needed flexibility the last day given that we had partied hard the night before and were flying out late in the day; the hotel accommodated all of our needs.
