The Fables is a perfect location in the centre of Auclland city. You could easily miss the entrance located between two shops on the main Queen Street, but when inside you are transported to an amazing hotel and there is no noise from the main street. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Our room was quite small, but lovely. The bed was super comfy, amazing shower and everything was clean. Our breakfast was amazing not a buffet- as so many hotels are today, and everything was cooked to perfection. Lots of choices and included was a batista coffee - perfect 👌 we would definitely stay here again, great location, lovely room and amazing breakfast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maybe not a five star hotel…yet”
I am a loyal customer for Accor hotels, usually I book Sofitel while traveling. This is the first time I try MGallery and honestly I am quite disappointed. The only good thing I am truly satisfied is the location. It’s at the heart of CBD, you can go to many hotspots easily. However, there are way too many awful parts which drag down the whole rating significantly and negatively affect my experience here: *The staff Generally, the receptionists are professional and kind, I would like to extend my appreciation specifically to receptionist Nina and concierge Ru for their thoughtful services by changing the room and moving the table and chair all the way down from 5th floor to 3rd floor for me. They certainly work like 5-star hotel staff. However, for the rest of the concierges (especially the one when I arrived on 5/12 at night) or the house keeping crew, they need more trainings and learn how to have a basic social etiquette. During my 7-night stay, I have never been greeted even once by them, no matter it’s on the hallway or in the lobby, somehow I wonder if this is a selective behaviour or they just think it’s not necessary to do so. Not to mention the concierges don’t even try to help guests carry their luggages over that 6 step stairs to checkin. (maybe the guests do not necessarily need that, but still, it’s about the feeling, they have to ask us). As a five star hotel, every single detail matters, and your hotel is the first one I stay with concierges who are not attentive nor helpful at all. Having a beautiful statue there might be more pleasant. Ironically, even when I pointed out this problem to the receptionist on the next day of my arrival, I still don’t see any improvement from them in the following days, even on my check out day they are still the same. Please work on this part. It seems like a long lasting issue according to the reviews online. *Weird room layout and design 503 was the room I got in the first place. I know the building is quite old but it’s designer’s job to make it comfortable for the guests. No one would need a useless and spacious foyer in their room. The layout for the bathroom is already deficient, the designer should be more creative with the furnishing. Also, it’s obligated to reveal such thing to the guest. As for the bathroom, like some of the reviews online, it’s impossible to not wet the floor outside of the shower enclosure. Since the floor is using marbles tiles, it’s can be slippery when it’s wet. The water temp and pressure is not stable during my stay. And it’s not okay to provide push button hairdryer. I have never seen one 5 star hotel provide such appliance to the guest, even some 3-star hotels provide better dryer than yours. The makeup mirror in 503 are chipped which might cut people accidentally. *The furniture I can see that the whole décor is trying to create a luxurious atmosphere and give a British touch by placing nice furnitures like tea tables and delicate tea set in the room, but the size of the table and chair is out of proportion and mismatch for the room size. Even in 309, which is the room a nice square layout, the chairs are still too big to slightly block the entrance of the bathroom. Not having a working table for every room is also unacceptable (there is no usable lighting for the table or power outlets beneath it in 503, it’s impossible for people to use that table for anything productive but only place stuffs). *USB charging ports The power outlets in the room are all at the bottom and there isn’t one USB charging port. *Housekeeping There is a hole on my bedsheet in my second room, somehow I wonder why the housekeeping staff finds it reasonable to use that sheet. *Ecofriendly It’s nice to provide water to guest everyday, but the ml is not much and it’s not ecofriendly at all. Please use a refillable bottle or build a water station in each level (the elevator room seems like a nice place to set it). I look forward to seeing this hotel grow and be bet

Fable is located in the heat of Auckland. The street has many luxury stores, with a supermarket and some cute cafes around. Staffs were well mannered, kind and cheerful. Breakfast was great. I was not quite a fan of their afternoon menu, but everything was good. The only thing I did not like was the toilet, which did not have a heating seat (was not an electric toilet). Every time I sat in it, I was so nervous because it was super cool (lol). Overall, good hotel to stay!

Love the location. With my bags and rain, it was an easy 5 mins walk to the hotel from Britomart station. You are surrounded by many shops that you can wander in or just stay in the room because the room is gorgeous and comfortable! Absolutely love my stay here!!
