A quiet oasis in the midst of busy bangalore”
This is an interim review. I chose Royal Orchids due to its vicinity to the Manipal hospital for 10 nights. You are greeted first by a friendly and helpful security guard, dressed in an imposing historical attire. I found the reception very courteous and helpful to my needs. My upgraded room in the 2nd floor overlooks the peaceful and green garden area. The room is equipped well and very clean. The tasty breakfast has both South Indian and continental food. In the evening hours you can enjoy a signature cocktail at the Jeff’s, where Divyam the mixologist will delight you with his unique creation. The Restaurant „Tiger trail“ offers you a nice seating overlooking the adjacent golf course. The food is good. On the whole a quiet and green place, situated a bit away from the busy old airport road. One small point did not function smoothly. I had to ask the reception at least 6 times over a period of 2 weeks for an offer to extend my stay for 10 more nights. The manager solved the problem later in due time so that I am looking forward to my stay here with my daughter to do our wedding shopping.

A fabulous property located next to a golf course. .. however certain rooms may have hardwater stains on the shower cubicle.. though otherwise it's clean. The breakfast spread is great ..the best sausages..soft and supple..I am sure one can find no fault with the food except the biryani..which were below any acceptable taste levels. The staff is friendly and efficient..the property is also used for marriage functions and one may encounter loud music . Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Bengaluru
Mixed experience”
The hotel room was good, but I couldn’t figure out how to control the AC temperature, I was charged for extra bed as my 6 year old son was with us, but the hotel didn’t provide any extra bed, even after I asked to provide it. Wifi didn’t work, the front desk gave me a different password to connect, it didn’t work on the first day, but worked on the second day, but you can only connect one device.The swimming pool was good, but when my son started playing in the pool, some staff person was asking about our room details, it may look normal, but the way it was asked felt kind of awkward, I got a feeling that we were not welcome here. Breakfast had lot of varieties, the taste was okay, but the plates snd glasses were not clean, i have seen dead mosquitoes on multiple plates and the glasses were not clean, restaurant staff were good. Going to EGL is very easy as both the hotel and EGL are on the same side of the road and very nearby, coming back to hotel will need little bit more effort as you need to take 2 U turns, overall stay was a mixed experience, not mind blowing, not disappointed either, I personally might not go back here as I don’t feel it is worth the money.
Good location and staff with money crunch management”
I visited this place post pandemic. I was travelling with my younger brother. We requested an early checkin as our flight reached at 9 and we reached hotel by 10. They said its subject to availability, which is ok. After waiting for 3 hours in lobby we got our room we enter the room and keep our bags and head out for meeting our friends after coming back we turn on the ac put it on 22 degrees, after an hour still it was boiling hot in our room, we called reception they sent someone he checked the whole ac and said nothings wrong with it and leaves. We call again at 2 as its unbearable sleeping in an ac room with no fans and ac not working again they come and check. Same thing, i got restless and complaint to get my room changed, the guy requested that there are no rooms available we'll try and change tomorrow. And for us to not feel hot he gave us stand fan in the room. Next day in afternoon we changed our room. This time the ac was better but still considering outside temp it was still warm. The staff said in confidence to me that management has pre set the ac temps. The don't go lower than that to save electricity. So we stayed in a hotel we paid for with ac, but with a warm room. Breakfast was also very bad. Considering we're in a place famous for dosas their dosas were also tasted horrible. Staff was very polite and friendly especially the darbaan a very friendly and helpful person ( he helped us a lot with talking to cab and rickshaw drivers, but in the end the whole experience was ruined by the management bad money saving tricks as we didn't have comfortable stay due to our rooms being super warm
