Pros - free bus going to Sapporo - reception staff knows how to speak english and helps with every question. - buffet dinner and breakfast was great - onsen was great Cons - housekeeping calls is not possible because staff cant speak english. You need to go down to the reception.

Spacious room. We stayed at 8th floor. Has a nice mountain view with autumn colour. Breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent. Free shuttle bus to Sapporo station (reservation in advance)

Clean comfortable onsen hotel”
Located at the edge of Jozankei, Grand Hotel Zuien is easily accessible from both Chitose Airport and Sapporo Station by bus. This is the last stop so you can't miss it. The lobby and rooms offer great views of the river and foliage in autumn. Onsen area is clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner buffet offers a huge variety of food. Over good recommendation for value.

Onsen resort hotel stay with included good breakfast and dinner options. Rather old hotel but room was big and clean for a western twin bed room. Onsen outdoor view and experience was awesome. Location not easy to find. But with free hotel shuttle its great. Contact hotel for their free shuttle. Trip to kokusai ski can be made with public bus stop 10 mins walk from hotel.

Very Disappointed. We stayed at Moegi Hall for 2 Nights which is terrible ever. Bad smell elevator, dark and old hallway, everything lead to this Moegi Hall look like a century year old atmosphere which I don't think it should be approved to be offer in AGODA Website. Or even Hotel itself should feel ashamed to offer any room in this Wing to customer. Hotel owner should renovate this wing ASAP and AGODA should review and discontinue the offering of rooms in this wing from your website. "All photos in AGODA is too good and too new to illustrate this old hotel.

No help from car porch to room :-((. Breakfast opening hours 06:45 to 09:00 am and check out at 10:00 am!! hardly any available time to browse around if you check in late. What a place for Onsen !!

Everything is out dated, Buffet not really a Buffet !!!”
This hotel though have the word Grand but is nothing of Grand. Very outdated hotel with rooms seen better days. The toilet and bathroom is very small. Wifi is almost non existence. The buffet is a maze to get to, no proper signage. Everyone seems lost to get to the buffet. Then at the buffet, if you go back for second round or more, the person not willing to give you. I went back 2x only to be told cooking but i seen the person handling out food to other customers who just come by. After i went by the 3rd time, i insist to hang around then was given the STEAK after a 7-10min wait. Please dun call it a buffet if you are so stingy or biased coz i am not local. Please improve attitude and update the rooms. Would not be returning or recommend to others.

Great breakfast, room was huge, which was expected from the price we paid. Private onsen in room however seems a little questionable. The water in the private onsen has a lot of unknown white flakes in it, unsure what is it. Was staying in 7 other onsen hotels during my Hokkaido stay and I have not seen others like this one. However notable that the private onsen is beautiful, it was really spacious, actually the biggest we've ever seen in all our stay, and pretty too, looks great in photos. Their garden right outside their hotel is very spacious and pretty too during our Autumn stay.
