Stay in Budapest KK Hotel Opera”
The location was so convenient. We were able to walk to so many sites of interest. However, the whole of the city is magnificent. The staff at the hotel were so lively. From the reception to the gentleman at the bar, the staff taking care of you in the breakfast room to the girls who clean the rooms. Such patient and welcoming people. The only area which coukd be a little better is the food for breakfast. Maybe it's not part of the culture, however it would have been good to have some smoked salmon rather than just different charcuterie of different meat cuts.. My husband was even given a small bottle of Procecco for his 70th. A very kind gesture. On the whole, we loved it. Thank you

Excelente hotel, friendly and polite staff. The hotel and room was clean. The location is superb, the metro station is 50 meters from the hotel door. If you're a good walker, you can walk to the Parliament, the Chain Bridge, the Buda castle, even to the Fisherman's Bastion. We got to the hotel before check-in and we had to leave after the check-out. The hotel held our luggage in both cases.

Dirty, unfriendly and electricity cutoff”
The room is spacious and the location is close to everything (the only two good things about this place). The morning staff (a man with a beard) was very friendly and kind. The rest of the staff, I’m not too sure. To start off, when we arrived, the cups were not changed. The previous guests’ tea was still sitting in the mugs. On our first night out, we were locked out of our room—to which there was no explanation given, and a new key was handed to us without even checking our identity. On the third night, the electricity cut off twice (randomly) which we reported to the front desk. There was no apology, rather the front desk accused us of using high voltage heaters (which we weren’t). Also, don’t trust the prices. When you arrive they ask for a ~15,000 forint deposit and there is a city tax of 1.5 euro per day. Wouldn’t stay here again. One of the worst hotel experiences in Europe. Don’t know why they are a four star.

I am glad to read that you really liked our location, which is unbeatable. On the other hand, I would like to apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your visit. I have forwarded your case to our Restaurant Team for further investigation. I would like to assure you, that once a key card is written, Front Desk Team is not able to modify any settings of the key card as it should be presented phyiscally. However, magnetic field for example (like mobile phone) can release all the settings but this fact is unfortunately out of our control. In regards the replacement, I will investigate the issue as we have strict policy replacing the key. I should highlight, the deposit is not required only for city tax but also for any further possible extra consumptions (like Bistro, minimarket etc.). Deposit policy is not unique in our

We had a bad experience, there was no electricity in our room for the whole night until the time we check out, we complain about this, they said they will fix it but nothing happen.

We do apologize for the inconveniences in regards the electricity. Our Front Desk Team tried to do its best and succeeded to switch back the electricity however due to some technical error it shut down again after a certain period. Fortunately, we could detect the issue which was caused by a kettle which was overfilled with water and it flowed out to the point as well where the plug connected to the equipment. Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience but we do hope, you left our hotel with nice memories and we will have the chance to welcome you back in our hotel in the future.
