Overall a Great Resort”
We have enjoyed 5 nights at the Outrigger in Fiji. The staff are lovely people, always greeting you with a smile, a ‘Bula’ and often a song! There are activities scheduled every day and a kids club (not that we were travelling with kids but when we saw the kids out with the nannies they looked happy). The grounds are well maintained and look wonderful with Hibiscus, Frangipani, waterlilys and other tropical blooms everywhere. There are a 4 restaurants for evening meals and 1 or two that only do lunches. The IVI seafood restaurant was our favourite. The table service to prepare some of the dishes was very entertaining. We had a bit of a niggle with the Sundowner restaurant which also insisted on booking so we expected it would be easier to calculate number of covers yet the service was very slow we were told it was ‘Fiji Time’ twice, once before the order was taken and then between ordering and receiving any food. Also, we were informed items were off the menu 15 mins after ordering them. I can only imagine that the kitchen was understaffed as elsewhere the service has been exemplary. The Butler service was a nice touch and we looked forward to champagne and canapés each evening. The swimming pool was the focus of many activities and although it got busy it never felt over crowded. There is also an adults only swimming pool/swim up bar if it all gets too much. The coastline is a shallow coral shelf before the breakers start several hundred metres out. That make snorkeling a timed activity but it also makes for a very safe beach for small children. The resort offers free use of paddle boards, kayaks and snorkelling equipment and can organise dive courses and trips (but as we haven’t dived for 10 years we didn’t try this). Another niggle was the organisation and cleanliness of the laundry facilities. To operate the machines a token was required but the tokens were only available from reception (a five minute walk and 3 storey lift ride away. Finally we would like to thank the golf cart drivers who took our bags to and fro and to our Butler who organised a group of singers to come to our room to wish us Happy Anniversary. Now the tune is stuck in my head, but attached to a happy memory! Vinaka!
Family Holiday ”
Stayed at the Outrigger for 3 nights with my 3 kids. Absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was super comfortable for all of us and the sea view was beautiful. The staff were so friendly and amazing with my kids they loved the pool and daily activities ! Food options were great especially the buffet, such a wide variety and the drinks at the sundowner was 10/10! Bebe spa was a highlight and an absolute must, the foot spa and massage was so relaxing.

Fantastic vacation, great resort and an absolutely fantastic team. The only thing that could be improved upon was the food which was OK but not great. Well worth a trip!
Great value”
We loved the resort and our son enjoyed a lot. Very kids friendly pool and many activities. Breakfast option is limited and the location is far from Nadi. However there were many things to do at the hotel, so we enjoyed a lot at the resorts.
Not for couples”
This resort caters to families. It’s not very conducive for a relaxing get away. The food was just ok and It’s a little overpriced for what you get. If you’re not traveling with kids, I recommend you stay elsewhere.
