Staff were lovely but not what I expected from this chain of hotels ”
Upon check in I’m told there wasn’t any parking actually near the hotel which on the site it says “services - parking (£20)” which that makes you think there is parking in with the hotel not a 5 minute walk away through which you have to go under a bridge where the local homeless population live (felt very unsafe especially with a toddler) we saw fights and all sorts. The facilities I’ve marked down because the fact there’s no disabled parking. The day staff said they could move the planters out front but then by the night we were told we had to move by a different member of staff My wife wasn’t able to come out of hospital in the daytime because of the parking situation. While staying we saw a woman trashing reception the police were called but this isn’t an isolated thing there’s constantly groups of people shouting outside the hotel and I guess they must come into the hotel regularly and cause trouble. The room itself was dated and cracks everywhere and mismatched paint jobs on every wall As we walked in the light fixture wasn't attached to the wall and not working The hand towels were filled with stains and holes The floor drain cover in the bathroom was broken and missing screws and had thick brown water in to not good especially with a toddler The sink plumbing was so slow at draining whoever did the pipe work put it in almost straight The bath was a good size and the double shower heads were good for washing hair The actual room was a nice size The bed was uncomfortable there was a hump in the middle When we arrived there was wrappers under the bed and bits on the floor could of used a hoover Plenty of storage and a fridge was a nice touch in the room The tv you can cast from your phone which was good The breakfast staff were amazing they were so good with my kid and friendly they’re the best thing about the hotel Room service food was okay the steak sandwich was good the Mac and cheese was bland So would not stay here with my kid again or if we were needing to park the car. Did not feel safe

I drove to the hotel from London and didn’t realise the hotel parking was not attached to the hotel. I feel this should be made clearer as I wasted a lot of time (and possibly obtained some traffic violation tickets) by heading straight to the hotel. Also I would have thought that sky should have been included on the TV options.

We do not offer on-site parking but can offer concessionary rates at local car parks; we do advertise this on our booking sites, though I am sorry if this was not clear when you booked.
