Homestay ”

Really nice and warm place stayed for 5night , free breakfast, coffee, omelette and baguette . Supernice family, daughter speek good english and are so sweet, hens and rooster on the yard.

Best place on the island”

Amazing place, very relaxing feeling, free generous breakfast, daughter and lady both speak English, motorbike rental, clean room, laundry service and ferry ticket reservation. We felt very well looked after and the atmosphere is very good. Mind the mosquitoes though

Hotel so far from center city”

This resort is too far from the center city! I had to take a another hotel when I arrived to resort!

Nice staff, bad location ”

3 nights stay, the owner is very Friendly and helpful (when she's available, often we couldn't find anybody) she makes nice breakfast. The room is alright, big bed own small bathroom, unfortunately we had cockroaches and hole in the mosquito net. Rented a scooter for 6€ a day which was helpful.

I had booked a week here and only managed two nights before finding somewhere else! The first let down was the location, it is a fair distance down a dirt back-road and even after we found it, we discovered that there was not much to do within the local area. No restaurants, sights or other tourists to talk to which resulted in every local staring at us as we walked through the village making us feel very unwelcome. We searched for the local beach which required walking through many thin alleyways, only to find a very thin beach with quite a lot of rubbish and dirty water. If you are staying here then I reccomended to hire a motor bike to visit other areas of the island or spend money on taxis. The only options of food the restaurant provided for us were rice, noodles or bread which got tiering quickly and meant we had to find other restaurants every day. The tipping point was when we discovered dozens of bed bugs and cockroaches in our room, let alone the poo in the toilet on arrival

Nice, quiet and friendly place!”

We try one Nice and we finaly stay for a week! We meet great friend. It is situated in local neighborhood, near a local market. The best way to go arround it is with the motobike they rent for a good privé!

Horrendous. ”

This is by far the worst place I have ever seen. We arrived to find that it was in the middle of nowhere (the taxi driver even struggled to find it). We got into our room through a door that was like what you would expect of a Wendy house (not secure at all), the room was dirty like nobody had stayed in there for the last year and it was absolutely infested with mosquitos - even on the inside of the net so you wouldn't have been safe from them. Within 2 hours of arriving we left and looked for somewhere else to stay. I think it spoke volumes that we were the only people there.

Worst place I've stayed”

I've been travelling for 7 months and this is the worst place I've stayed ! I don't really care about luxury places but the staff is just useless like I feel I was almost annoying them, not a single smile. They wanted to keep my passport to give it to THE POLICE! No joke like they wanted all my details. We ran out of electricity for 24hrs so aircon, zero lights. It's far from the town, no one around, just people pointing out you like you're a freak. You'll need a motorbike to get around for sure. One time I had to wait for them to finish their movie on the computer to get the bottle of water I was waiting for! Don't book it !

Good for the begining.”

Everything is Ok, but... Very good to start to look around on the site and choose the right place. The hotel is in a swamp, the sun is not visible, very humid. The rooms - spartan conditions, no shelves, no wardrobe, floor - concrete, bumpy, barefoot is not convenient, serviceable bathroom, but without luxury. Not enough shelves for toiletries, is not designed for long-term habitation. The hotel is located close to the sea, but in the most populated area, very dirty beach near the fishing village, it is necessary to go far to the beach without trash. Staff friendly, scooter rental serviceable. Location - far from the center, 20 minutes walk to the local market.

Surprisingly nice stay”

It was a really nice stay. We saw the different reviews and didn't know what to expect which was why we chosed only to book two nights. After we arrived we felt like someone was kidding us. The "path" toward the location was in poor condition. But anyway we arrived and the daughter which was fully in command had everything under control. The mom was really friendly too and always smiling. She made us incredible pancakes each morning. You quickly integrates with the cozy surroundings(hammocks and plants) and enjoys the dogs and especially the puppy. We drove all the Island around and didn't discover any single place with the same value for the money. Yes you can choose to live by the beach(for much more money), but the people we met and knew who choosed to do so was also driving the island around because of jellyfish or they got borrowed at their places. This is a good location among locals. We took the scooter to a nearby resort where we stayed on their nice beach - you just need to buy lunch. This is better compared to some of the trashy beaches!

To call this place is a resort is definetly a stretch, but it is a nice budget hotel in a quiet area. The owners were friendly and there were moterbikes for rent.

Do not book this hotel unless you want to check out sooner than you expect. The location, the accomodation, the room...everythings are weird.

Nice and quiet "homestay"”

The accommodation is very quiet, out of city center but was nearly like a homestay. Nobody from the family does not speak english but we loved the stay. Motorbike is a must, available there.Breakfast consists of fried eggs or bread and jam. They can prepare dinner and once the mother cooked for us fish we had bought in market. Attention with laundry - they wash all colours together. Wifi free.

Very short we left instantly the hotel”

Very short. As soon as we arrived we wanted to get out of there. This hotel is far away from anything. The beds were covered with od blankets, the blankets were used and unwashed. That its not a luxus hotel was clear for us.. But there must be a minimum of cleaness. The staff were very friendly but spoke a very poor english. Anyway. If you are looking forward to have a very vietnamesse expirience, this hotel will be ok. Be aware that its in the middle of a locals area. All of them really nice. The road to the hotel is very bad and has no ilumination at all. For this hotel or better said guest house you will need a motorbike. Our experience wasnt pleasent. But to be fair, when we told the staff that we were leaving they remained friendly. + point for them.
