Phu Quoc has plenty of good hotels and I have sampled quite a few, from large international chains to small local boutiques. They all have their strong points and weaknesses, but I never felt compelled enough to come back, or to write them reviews. Salinda Resort is different. I actually was torn between keeping this little gem to myself or recommending it so that others may experience it, thus bring more business to the resort. I chose to review Salinda because I think they more than deserve it. On arrival, I am very impressed with the overall design of the place – elegant but understated and full of pleasant surprises, as opposed to the in-your-face, loud and vulgar style you often find in many local ones. The resort itself is right sized, in my opinion. Not too small so it is lacking in facilities and amenities that you may feel short changed, but not too large that you may feel lost, either. More importantly, here everything works the way it should! I can tell there are lots of thoughts and cares that went into the design. The standard rooms are of decent size. We got lucky and were upgraded to a garden villa and it exceeded our expectations. At 50m2 the villa room is spacious enough for most couples. Design is top-notched, bed and pillow are plush and lux. Thoughtful and classy. I would strongly recommend you go for the villa, which cost slightly more than a standard room because it’s a great value, given what you get in return. It’s a real steal, indeed. Salinda deserves commendation for many little details that show class and thoughtfulness, and when put together, they make a huge difference. Things like welcome plate of sweets, welcome and send-off drink (many other hotels offer drinks when you arrive, but this one’s the first that give you drinks both during check-in and check-out), plenty of free drinking water (I counted 6 bottles, and they got replenished during room service), at the villa, instead of packets of instant coffees, we g

Salinda Resort is simply the best!”
We simply cannot fault the resort. It is simply 5 stars in all areas. We had an amazing deal due to COVID and stayed a week here. It was only around 30% capacity beehive means we had the 25m pool by ourselves most days. There is a private beach next to the pool, which faces the most amazing sunset. We had the sea view premier room which is very comfortable and spacious. The bed is one of the largest that we have ever slept in (it’s larger than King size). Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The manager even helped us to book a private driver for a day’s excursion and a five island hoping tour. The hotel is located about ten mins taxi ride to the town, but there is a variety of restaurants and supermarkets just 2 mins walk from the resort. Overall, the whole place is so relaxing and comfortable. We would love to come back here again and won’t even bother to look anywhere else to compare.

Honeymoon like in heaven”
Everything was indescribable! Pick up at the airport was so friendly and nice, check in was more than a pleasure with flowers and drinks, upgraded to a villa and staff was so friendly the whole time we stay there. It was not a five star experience which everybody though to know, no it was like in heaven! Breakfast was more than perfect the resort such beautiful, complimentary massage, cooking show, tea time, bartender course.... so much things! The live music was amazing every evening and the restaurants more than just delicious. If you book this hotel you will be more than comfortable than in other resorts, went to so much 5 star hotels but this was like living as a king & queen. We will come back every year for our wedding anniversary! Thanks to the staff and all what make this hotel unique like it is!

Our standards are quite high and this place exceeded all of our expectations and then some. A true 5* experience from start to finish. Airport pick up and check in we’re seamless, bedroom (we had a deluxe hill view) was huge with big balcony, lovely bathroom, massive bed, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was second to none, with everything you could possibly wish for. Pool and beach beautiful with free kayaks to take out, comfortable sun loungers and plenty even when hotel is full. We used the gym every morning with was also very well equipped and clean. The staff throughout were so helpful, always saying hello and available to help with whatever you needed. Food and drinks in the hotel are quite expensive and restaurants lack atmosphere in the evening, so we went out to one of the many nice restaurants just outside the hotel. Overall a pretty perfect stay. Definitely recommend.

Best resort ever!”
I have no enough words to describe the experience on this resort. Since arrival, I felt treated as a royalty. They welcome you with refreshments and a nice cold towel. We arrive ealier that check in time and our room was available ealier. Room was beautiful with an amazinh balcony, bed was huge and amazing! All facilities were so clean and beautiful. I spent all day ay the pool & beach which is right there. Spectaculat views. Buffet breaksfast was exquisite with a huge variety of choices. All staff were friendly and accomodating all the time and always greeting guests everywhere. I stayed in another resort but Salinda was by far the best!!! My review is not enough to express how much I loved this place. Thank you! ❤

Wonderful Surprise”
I did not expect the level of service I've got to experience at Salinda, what wonderful boutique resort in the middle of thousands choices in Phu Quoc. I've been to Phu Quoc many times and each time there was always one or two (slight) disappointment, not enough to make me not to come back but enough to remember, usually small things such as resorts food quality, room not very clean or do not look like photos, gym not wel taken care of, etc. This trip was excellent, nothing I can pick at (full disclosure: I work at a luxury travel company so I am quite picky). I am impressed by the way the staffs carry themselves with excellent communication skill, the meticulously clean and tasfully decorated room and beautiful, well maintained beach front pool. Good job, Salinda team, I can't wait to be back next time even though I am still here on my last day writing this review :)

The best Staff in Asia”
Salinda is a private and service oriented boutique hotel with great staff, strategic location, amazing entertainment and facilities (SPA, restaurants, swimming pool). Breakfast is by far the best we have experienced in Asia. When one of us has had food poison the staff organized the trip to the hospital and pharmacy. They were generous with room service and extra cleaning. Everybody’s got quickly to know about our inconvenient and kindly asked our physical situation. Overall, we wish to come back at the earliest convenience to enjoy the intimate spaces and relax with a nice drink at the pool. Thanks again for the great assistance.

The hotel is in a convenient location in Phu Quoc. My room had a nice balcony with a sea view. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The service was wonderful, and all of the staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast is amazing. The pool and beach were both comfortable. I have no complaints about the hotel, staff, or facilities. However, the other guests would let their kids run through the halls, shout between rooms with the doors open, and play loud music during all hours. It definitely took away from the peaceful 5-star vibe.

What I really liked - - Loved the swimming pool with view of the beach and sunset in the evening - Amazing restaurants with yummy food and live music - kids club where you can leave young kids with Staff and spend some time by yourself - Awesome breakfast buffet - located very near airport with complimentary transfers - very helpful staff - there is also a Mart just opposite the hotel in case you wanted to pick something for the kids (milk, cookies or anything else) What was not so exciting - 15% taxes (which I assume all hotels need to pay) plus room surcharges when you order room dining. - if you plan to visit Vinpearl Safari or any other attraction on other side of the island, it could take a good 45 mins ride. But to us that ride was manageable as we happily spent most of time inside the resort and the cost of taxi was reasonable too.

For the second time, the Salinda exceeded my families expectations with service, location, food, beach and pool. My wife and I have a young child and the staff always makes us feel so welcome. They even remember us from our last visit 6 months ago and we also remembered them. The breakfast is great with alot of variety and the pianist is playing while you enjoy your morning coffee. I went to a different hotel on my last visit and did not enjoy it although they claim to be 5 Star so decided to return back to the Salinda and was never disappointed as we actually stayed for 5 days! The Salinda is our hotel of choice when we come to Phu Quoc. I thank the entire team at Salinda for making my families stay so wonderful!! The Brown Family

My husband and I had a great and pleasant stay in Salinda. All the staff provide professional and decent services. Hotel is also good, tasteful, stylish, very comfortable and peaceful. Clean and tidy everywhere. Our room had little problem as standing light was not work, but it was fixed within 10 minutes. I find pillows was not so suitable to me. Maybe there are choices of pillows, however I forget to ask. I have enjoyed 5 mins. free shoulder massage at swimming pool. Very nice! It is a good trial of the hotel spa. Private beach and pool are clean for sun bath & swim. Sparkling wine breakfast is fantastic. The restaurant is so beautiful, live piano music, food is tasty and good variety, services are excellent, there are 2 cats outside the restaurant always ask for food which are clever and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Salinda very much, although weather was bad, we luckily stay at a good hotel to spend our time.

Wonderful hidden gem”
We stayed 3 nights at the resort. It was beautiful, relaxing, staff is very attentive to details, genuine customer service. We feel like we've got to know Phu Quoc people through the staff, so real and honest. Service was great, room was clean, bed is super comfortable, beach is beautiful. We will come back for sure and must stay longer next time. Promise!

Salinda was a fantastic base of operations for time on Phu Quoc. The staff took exceptional care of us from the moment we arrived. The resort is in wonderful shape, and our ocean view room had a beautiful view of the Gulf of Thailand. The pool and beach areas are both well staffed and stunning. Breakfast options were plentiful and fresh. We didn't try the on-site restaurants besides breakfast as we spent time in the market and at other locations on the island. There are great food options directly across the street as well. Highly recommend Salinda for a relaxing getaway that is also close to anything you would want to do on the island.

Beautiful resort, with great amenities. The room was great, the pool area is beautiful the food is excellent and the service amazing. Luong was so nice amd I owe Anup a huge thank you for accomodating a late request (I had a special request at 9pm, to be done the next morning by 8am and it was done diligently with a smile). But beyond that the whole staff gives you an exceptional service, everyone is well trained, know their jobs and do it with a smile. The location is also great as it's close from town but far enough to feel quiet. Exceptional place, will definitely come back.

An outstanding place”
The experience is almost perfect. It takes only 10 min by the free shuttle bus from/to the airport. The room was clean with everything we need. Excellent breakfast with all kinds of choices including local, Asian and western style food. Benches on beach is free for hotel guests. Big swimming pool. The service was outstanding, staff are very friendly and helpful.

Best resort ever in PQ”
location is very nice, near the night market, and be able to go lots of famous restaurants in PQ by walk. also the room is super clean, they are using good furnitures even. Especially the staffs are so friendly. I do appreciate for you guys support during my staying. and defenetely will stay in SALINDA again when i go to PQ

I stayed in 3 different resorts in Phu Quoc: Salinda, Kim 2, and Peppercorn. Salinda is by far the most luxurious, well money-worth resort of all. Staffs were kind, spoke good English, and child-care was a superb!. Will I be visiting Phu Quoc again? Maybe... But will I be staying in Salinda again? If I could stay in this resort forever - I would. Where to begin? Free pickup and dropoff at the airport, amazing and large rooms, a BEAUTIFUL pool and private beach... Breakfast is probably the best I've had in any hotel/resort ever. We celebrated my birthday and the hotel sent us a delicious cake, which was very kind of them. Every single staff member greets you with a smile, and does their best to help with anything you need. Everything was just perfect, and if we ever visit Vietnam again - we will definitely come back.

I would highly recommend the Salinda resort to those who plan their trip to Phu Quoc! Facilities were literally awesome and well-cleaned all the time. And, staff were very friendly and attentive. My mum, sister and I really enjoyed authentic breakfast with Champagne. I would definitely come back to this resort for my next trip.
