Exceptional Stay at The Waverly Hotel & Residences Bangalore”
I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Waverly Hotel & Residences in Bangalore and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The cleanliness of the hotel is noteworthy; the rooms are well-maintained, and the entire facility exudes a sense of hygiene and order. The staff, in particular, were a highlight of my stay. They were not only friendly but also went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The rooms were tastefully styled, providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment. The attention to detail in the decor did not go unnoticed. I must also commend the previous manager, Reshma. Her friendliness and helpfulness added a personal touch to the stay. Although she has moved on, she made sure to refer us to Koushik, who has proven to be almost as exceptional as Reshma. The seamless transition between managers reflects positively on the hotel’s commitment to quality service. Overall, my stay at The Waverly Hotel & Residences was delightful, thanks to its good location, cleanliness, friendly staff, and well-styled rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.
Non responsive room service breaks the deal”
Everything from location, cleanliness and price wise the property can be a choice. However during my recent stay the experience turned sour - Room service was unresponsive to the requests for providing towels in the bathrooms - There were none. - Request to change the pillows was ignored (thick pillows causing shoulder and neck pain) Will consider twice before booking the same property.
A Hidden Gem!”
As someone who values a boutique experience over a cookie-cutter luxury offering, The Waverly Hotel checks a lot of boxes for me. The most highly voted USP of this property is indeed the LOCATION. In this tale of two cities (VR and Phoenix), you can achieve a lot of holiday to-dos without dealing with Bengaluru's traffic. A latest plus is the metro station (Singaiyyanapallya) right at the gates of VR Mall. The next big plus is THINGS YOU CAN DO with the least amount of effort. A Waverly guest is spoilt for choice when it comes to access to dining options, entertainment (cinema, bowling, play arenas), shopping, pampering yourself, or general "malling" - all available right where you are. The AESTHETIC: a lot of effort has been invested in creating a story around the Anglo-Indian history of Whitefield and you can see the story unfold in the property design, interior decor, theme, or even the faux facade and restaurant menu of The Whitefield Arms (pub). There's a bit of Churchill thrown in to make the history fit - although I doubt if he ever visited this exact Google pin location - but the effort is really cute. THE SQUAD: While you immediately notice that most members of the crew look newly hired, I would also say the team is very eager to serve and their sincerity, energy, and enthusiasm make up for any “greenness”. Having stayed here over a few months, I have seen positive action on any feedback that has been given. If I had to pick one department – that’s easily the front office team led by Koushik Choudhary, who in turn is the Most Valuable Player in the hotel. He’s professional, prompt, patient, resourceful … and most importantly kind. WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED: I would definitely do something about driving traffic into Eat India Company – an underused restaurant at Waverly. Such a beautiful space with an amazing view. The restaurant menu has to be revamped. You really don’t need to spend much if you can work on your social media. Or better still, get a Gen Z
