เข้าพัก 2 คืน ห้องกว้างแต่ไม่ได้ใช้พื้นที่ให้เป็นประโยชน์ ไม่มีตู้เสื้อผ้า มีไม้แขวนเสื้อในห้องน้ำ แสงไฟน้อยมาก พื้นห้องปูพรม ดูไม่สะอาด ห้องน้ำมี shower tray แต่น้ำจะท่วมทันทีและไหลไปที่พื้นบริเวณชักโครก เมื่อเปิดฝักบัว แรงดันน้ำก็ดันหัวฝักบัวกระเด็นตกมาโดนเท้า เนื่องจากหัวฝักบัวแตกหักแต่เอาไปเสียบกับก้านฝักบัวไว้ วาวน้ำร้อน-น้ำเย็นติดสลับด้าน เมื่อเปิดน้ำร้อนทางสีแดงคุณจะได้แต่น้ำเย็น อ่างล้างหน้าก้มไปแปรงฟัน คุณจะได้กลิ่นเหมือนห้องส้วม แต่ข้อดีคือพนักงานน่ารักมาก เมื่อบอกว่าห้องมีปัญหาก็ขึ้นมาดูแลและเปลี่ยนห้องให้ แต่เปลี่ยนแล้วก็ดีกว่าเดิมนิดเดียว อาหารเช้าทานได้ แต่ก็มีแมลงวันนอนตายบนโต๊ะอาหาร แต่สิ่งเหล่านี้โทษพนักงานไม่ได้ สิ่งผิดพลาดที่ไม่ควรให้อภัยนี้มาจากความไม่เอาใจใส่ของเจ้าของโรงแรม มันเป็นความรู้สึกที่แย่มากสำหรับประสบการณ์ในการพักโรงแรมที่พม่า และจะไม่มาโรงแรมนี้อีกต่อไป

We enjoyed our stay at Thiri Hpa-An hotel. Staff is friendly and clean rooms. Nice Swimming pool. Food was not as expected.

The hotel is not bad but not particularly attractive. It only plus is the pool since it is the only one in hpa-an offering a pool for this price. Often used by groups, which is a problem at breakfast time!

I arrived and the mattress was so bad I almost wanted to cry. I asked to change room, the staff was nice, and they showed me another room with an equally awful mattress (well, not as awful as the first one, but not good). After I refused to change to that room, since it was the same, I went to the pool to enjoy the other amenities. When I came back, they have offered us a better room with an acceptable mattress. Everything was ok in the end.

Great staff, substandard room, phony exchange rate”
First of all, the staff was the most courteous and responsive in all my Myanmar travels (Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, & Hpan-An so far.) On the negative side, the room felt run-down: bathroom door that jammed, smelled, and floor that would completely flood after a shower. The staff was highly responsive in attempting to fix the odor, which became more bearable, but couldn’t do much with the flooding. By that time (2nd last day of 4 day stay), I felt just given in, and coped instead of switching room. Also travelers beware: the billing insisted on 1 USD to 1600MMK exchange rate, where the going rate was $1 to 1495mmk. Can pay in USD at advertised rate, otherwise be ready to be bilked.
