Location is very close to night market and other temples. Easy access by boat then you can rent a good bike from hostel for 50baht to see all the places in town. Owner/Manager was very nice and accommodating. I was able to book a great boat trip through the hostel. We were also given a customized map of the town. Highlighting the top places of interest etc. That was amazing. Made my planning that much easier! Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. Cereals and toast. Would definitely come back again.

This is a family hostel run by a young couple. It was just open this year, so there was not much reviewes when I booked it. So we were a little bit nervous in the first place. However, the owner, who also work in the reception, was a great guy that provide lots of information about Ayutthaya that makes our stay in Ayutthaya much better and meaningful. The hotel is in a perfect spot, our room (private one) had a great air conditioner and comfortable bed. You can get free drinking water, instant coffee and breakfast which have bread, butter, jam and bananas. Also, I strongly recommend to drink a coffee in the cafe section, he is also a perfect Barista! Also the cakes are yummy. :D

Why I say that, because not only the place is clean and well taken care of, the staff were tremendously considerate, helpful and kind. As soon as I confirmed my booking, Vicky contacted me through email asking on my arrival and plans. Since I came from Bangkok early in the morning by train, I didn't manage to have my breakfast. Vicky was so considerate to not just assisting me on leaving my luggage at the hostel, but also kind enough to offer me the breakfast without any extra charge. She recommended me places to go and visit, putting effort to draw on the map of which route should I take for my cycling adventure around Ayutthaya. Nakara Hostel has bicycle rental facility too, at a very very good rental rate per day. The rooms were clean, common area was so comfy and homey, it made me feel like - one night in Ayutthaya is just not enough! And this hostel is just 5 minutes walk from daily night market. Thank you Nakara Hostel, for a great experience staying in Ayutthaya.

We stayed here for two nights during our visit to Ayutthaya. The welcome is very friendly, we got fresh water and could get quickly to our room. The room (VIP Double) is OK, not very clean at all (toilet was dirty), but it was not quiet. Something like compressor was working day and night. Next day we would like to get breakfast, but breakfast at PK Hostel means: you can get a toast with marmelade, a cup of coffee/tea/water and wash your dishes after breakfast by yourself (self service at it's best). For hard backpackers maybe OK, but i had much better rooms for less money in Vietnam/Saigon. All in all, i think it's not worth the money.

Very pleased with Stockhome Hostel. Clean bedsheet,pillows and blanket. Each bed has curtain for privacy in the dorms. Aircond was cold and nice. Balcony to dry clothes n etc available. Room cleaned daily. Heated water in bathroom. Soap and shampoo provided. Common area was cosy n comfortable. English speaking Front desk staff extremely helpfull and friendly. Free breakfast provided. Hostel also has bicycles for rent, however limited. But around 350m from hostel can get bicycles for rent (50baht/24hrs) Location is nearby many temples and historical park. Free maps provided. 7-11 and few restaurants nearby. Wifi signal is strong. Cons: locker was small and no locks. Only two washroom in one level. Had to wait for turn. No towels provided. Minibus to bangkok: 60baht, bus stand 2min frm hostel. Boat ride trip: 200baht. Worth it! Hostel will help book it. Entry to temples: 20-50baht per entry, 6 temples entry ticket: 220baht. Stalls selling souvenirs and tshirts around temple entrance. Walking around the temples: bring lots of water, caps, umbrella n good shoes. And camera..very beautiful architectures and monuments.

Very impression at Baan one love,surprise for japanese owner,friendly staff,all in guesthouse very good.Very good service from staff and before you arrive,If you arrive ayutthaya by train or bus,You can take tuk tuk car but don't believe them if there invite you to tour because very very expensive...when you arrive guesthouse you can rental bicycle or call other tuk tuk only 150-200 hr/car/trip (not per person)...Best suggestion from staff and you can ask staff for tour or free guide book and map...We are very impression for beautiful girl and big guy ,surprise for her,she can speak japanese,english and chinese in very well...best choice for tourist at here

I don't negative have much negative to say about this hotel, except the lady at the front desk was a bit cold and took her sweet time and paperwork to check me in, even though I showed her my paid agoda confirmation and booking ID she tried waiting for the fax message from agoda. I just told her to write down my confirmation number and assured her that fax will arrive soon, she eventually gave me a room. Room is pretty large, clean and has basics. Walking distance to the bus station and market where you can find tons of stuff including restaurants. This is a great value for the money you pay, I recommend it.

This hostel is not in the centre of activity, but it is quiet, and the owner and her brother are very friendly. The owner may not be able to speak English that well, but we could hold a conversation, and she used google translate to find the English words she needed. There is food next door and a couple of proper, affordable massage places nearby. I had a very relaxing time there, and this would certainly be my first choice if I were to visit Ayutthaya again.

We had a family room for four. A bit cramped, but we needed just a place to shower and sleep. The hotel had nice little touches like a sink on tha balcony good for laundry and lots of extra hangers on the balcony for drying laundry. The hotel is away from the main street with all the other hotels and was nicely quiet. It was also very conveniently located close to food stalls with authentic Thai cooking day or night. They rent decent bicycles and it is an easy two block bike ride to the closest temples (the one with the Budda head in the roots).

we checked in one day earlier than what we booked onlilne but the staff was helpful and kept a room for us even on short notice. 500b/night is great value for money...the room was big, quiet, very clean, and same goes for toilet. fridge, wifi, a/c, hot shower...we missed nothing. very quiet at night. you cross the road nearby and in 3 minutes you are among the ruins...nice position. when night comes, you are just a kick away from the night market on th naresuan. the family that runs the guesthouse is very friendly and can provide information on the area. they have a guard at night outside the gate so the place is quite safe. they rent bicicles at a ridicolous price, i recommend them to go around the ruins and up to the market in the northeast corner of the city. thai tea and fruit shakes at the little restaurant were delicious, but we did not try anything else, and the english breakfast was not very rich. i would go back here if i ever went back to ayutthaya, unless i found another cheap place that provided some extra (luxury) comfort like massages... i recommend it to anyone going to ayutthaya for the first time. tip: be ready with the guesthouse phone number and when you get to ayutthaya have the tuk-tuk driver call the owner to have her explain the whereabouts of the place. once you get there it is easy to find it on your own, but first time may be tricky.

The best thing of this guesthouse is the helpful and friendly staff. The location is quite good, really close to the most famous temple in Ayutthaya, Wat Mahathat, only 5 minutes by walking. Bike rent service is provided with a very good fee. Located in quiet area, easy access to everywhere. Don't have laundry service but you can find it very near to the guesthouse. The staff speaks very well English. Also got 2 free drinks in a very hot day, really appreciate it! Had a little problem in the room when we stayed but the staff quickly handled it in a jiffy. If you want to stay in there, make sure you book the air conditioned room, Ayutthaya is very hot, especially in the summer!

We stayed at Chantana House for four nights. It is seriously the nicest place we have stayed since we started traveling. The house is clean and beautiful and the rooms are the same. They make coffee and toast in the mornings. On top of that the women who work there are the sweetest people and they make it feel like a home. The location is perfect and nearby to food and temples. The train station can take you to Lopburi and surrounding areas as well. Also, Geeranan massage down the road was amazing and she helped my back out loads! Absolutely loved Chantana House! Book now!

Our room was clean, spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The communal area has plenty of seating and lounging options and the showers/toilets were clean and had hot water. There was a free bottle of water offered each day from the fridge, which was welcomed on hot days. The staff were very friendly and super helpful, going as far as to get a rental scooter brought to the accommodation and at a reduced price to normal, despite the fact we were refused to rent one due to not having ridden one before. Only con is the roads outside are a bit busy and noisy, but they do quieten down at night and even I as light sleeper had no problem staying asleep. Overall enjoyed our stay so much we booked here again on a return trip from Khao Yai national park.

The hostel itself is lovely ! Very clean, stylish and a nice outside area :) Also the breakfast was super delicious ! We booked a boattour with the hostel and the Personal told us that everything was included in the price of 200 baht per person . In the end , everybody paid 200 baht for the boat , more than 100 baht per person for the entry to the temples and 150 baht for the tuk tuk ! So tour was pretty expensive and not worth the money ! If you want to book a tour with the hostel be careful and ask again what is included .

The stay at the Sixty was great, we as 23-year old Americans really enjoyed it. Close proximity to everything you would want to do in Ayutthaya. The best way to see the town is on a bicycle, and you can easily reach any restaurant and central attraction in less than 10 minutes by bike. The hotel itself has a cool, teak interior with some interesting decorations. Rooms were clean and simple - A/C, a few drawers, decent bed. Coffee and snacks upstairs when you wanted it. I would definitely recommend staying here. Safe travels!

We booked a large double room and were very impressed with what we got for our money. The room and bed were indeed very large and comfortable. Located only a 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the train station (note: we were charged 100 but on the way back got it for only 60). Willy our host was extremely nice and friendly, offering us a lot of information about how to explore the area. The location is fantastic - as you leave turn right and just follow the road straight and you will come to the night bazzar (weekends) and Wat Mathahat which which lead you onto the main route to explore the ruins! The price of bikes was 40/50 baht (cant remember which!) and an evening boat cruise was 200 baht and well worth the money spent! Had a brilliant stay thanks to Willy, who gave us information + advice on how to get to our next location of Lopburi and who also gave us a book of postcards as we left which was a very nice touch. Would love to stay here again if ever we're in Ayutthaya!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Guesthouse and will definitely stay there any time we are in Ayutthaya. The location is perfect for exploring the ruins, they are literally across the street. We enjoyed exploring the ruins in the morning then ducking in to the hotel for a break in the heat. The location is the perfect midway point to see all the main Wats on the island. The owner is incredibly nice and caring. He is a perfect host and really did his best to make sure we were making the most out of our time. The breakfast was fantastic and the WiFi works well. A full 5 stars!

i was very pleased with ayutthaya place. at first arrival, you think that you might not be happy with the place but it is a wrong first impression. the owner and staff were very hospitable and the layout of the facilities was nice. there were several area that you could sit outside to drink, eat or just talk. my room was basic but clean and had everything i want in a room such as: air conditioning, cable tv, hot water and free wi-fi. the breakfast was decent, cooked to order and included toast, eggs and small hot dogs with coffee and tea available too.

We arrived at 2 pm and found our triple family room was not ready...after a hot 4 hour train ride we weren't impressed. We asked why not & both reception ladies could not supply us a reasonable answer that made sense. On offer was 2 separate rooms without a family door between them...no good for an 11yo in anyones language. Then we were told our room would be ready at 4pm and we could use an interim room till then...better than sitting in the hot lobby so we took it. Finally we could move into our family room and it didn't disappoint. With a large table, tv area with lounge, an attached 2nd bedroom complete with en-suite, we were impressed. The 3 air-conditioning units worked a treat. We could finally unpack and settle. Breakfast was held in the cafe on the street front. A comfortable room with bright decor. No menus here, we were just dished up a western style cookesd breakfast with coffee, juice and a fruit and yoghurt platter to finish, very nice. Although they're called serviced apartments apparently they didn't have a 2nd key so nothing got serviced that day. We let them in the next day to assure us of some water and toilet paper. Overall the place is very clean and staff try their best to overcome the language barriers. We would stay again.

Our stay here was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. As were the shared bathroom (which is just a single person bathroom/shower in the hallway). Convenient location. The accommodation itself was solid but what made it great for us was the staff. The girl who worked the front desk was kind and tremendously helpful with things like locating attractions, renting bikes, and finding a ride back to Bangkok. There is a great little cafe in the lobby that seems to be popular with locals also. However, if you're not looking to pay restaurant prices for dinner, there is also a night market nearby that is less than a 5 minute walk.

staying at this guesthouse was one of the best decisions i have ever made in my life. the owners are incredibly charming and attentive to my needs. i was traveling alone with my 16 month old son and i couldn't have asked for a more perfect environment. the decor and furnishings were wonderful and the free coffee/tea and cookies and fruit was perfect for in-between excursions. the location is right in front of wat mahathat, the most impressive ruins and park in ayutthaya. the owner was gracious enough to drive me to the rail station when i visited the summer palace at bang pa-in (a 15 minute 3 baht train ride away!). the shower at this guesthouse was unbelievable.. my toddler was in heaven. a cool rainshower and a hot hand-held shower with a skylight above. the air-con was new and ice cold, and the tv had lots of channels. the wifi was free and very fast. the grounds of this guesthouse are like a hidden oasis, with ponds and fish, just gorgeous. and the best night market ever was a 5 minute walk away. before we left, the owner carefully wrapped us up some fruit for our journey and waved us goodbye. i just can't believe how wonderful this place is and i cannot wait to return. tamarind!!!!!

We found the Hotel good value for the price but beware there is another hotel called (Ayutthaya Thanee Hotel) with almost the same name about 1km away. The furniture not is the best repair, we were on the 3rd floor which is non smoking, there is no lift here and seems to cater for Thai travelers because the breakfast is purely Thai other than a toaster and limited menu. Very large reception area with private parking underneath. Good free WiFi internet in the rooms . We would stay there again cheap and cheerful as they stay.

I loved this place. The hotel accidentally lost my reservation and the place was booked, but they were incredibly apologetic and put me in the best room possible at a partnering hotel. I felt LUCKY that they'd lost it because both the hotel's staff was so friendly! (So if Tony's is booked, I highly reccomend checking out the Tamarind Guesthouse too--I loved it for the one night they put me up. Amazing, well furnished, quirky, and incredibly sweet and accomodating. It's like staying in a modern treehouse. So unique!) ANyway, when I moved back to the hotel the next day, my room was beautiful. There's fantastic live music every night by Toy Candies (the friendly piano guy), and sometimes guests with musical instruments come up to jam with him. It's easy to meet people at the delicious restaurant if you're travelling solo. It's a little more pricey, but it's worth it. Transportation was a cinch. The bus stop less than a five minute walk down the street. The tuk-tuks to get around town are close by, too, and you can rent a bike to explore the ruins almost anywhere. The hotel is, to put it simply: cool. With all the rustic paintings and furnishings, it just somehow fits in the ancient city of Ayutthaya. When I was there, three celebrities from the Thai version of American Idol stayed for a night and all the iggling Thai girls went crazy. Then two nights later a famous DJ came a played for the night. And there's several other bars around to explore if you get bored. I stayed an extra night, and for someone with a tight itinerary, that's significant. Only two cons: The "swimming pool" is more like a kiddie pool. It's tiny. But it's there if you want it. It's more for kids to splash around in though than to do laps. I liked my bathroom, but I saw a cockroach. Better than a bucket toilet though, right? And it's a hot shower. By the way: Songran here is AMAZING! We all had a blast, and I met so many cool people, and hung out with the fun staff.
