Second stay because I like the breakfast. The room is okay, spacious and comfortable bed. Just don't like having to step up to the bathtub and it's a bit difficult for adults. Even though I'm fit, I still don't like it. But the breakfast here is very good. There's a buffet, although it's a bit small, but it's quality and there's also a menu to order from, which has many options. Good quality, large quantity, and delicious. The staff here are friendly. The girl who checked me in seemed a bit confused, but the male staff at the lobby provided excellent service. The staff in the restaurant are also good. During COVID, the price has dropped a lot, so it's very worth it.

We love the tranquility of Thai Akara. Staff was very helpful and attentive. They helped make reservations at spas, cooking class and we enjoyed it all very much. The compound is not huge but well designed, with a colonial Thai style. Very classy. Pool was small but not a big deal for us since we preferred lounging around the pool. It was the bar that was the attraction for us. We absolutely love the cocktails there. Breakfast buffet was not a big selection but good enough to start us off the day, it has a nice variety that was nicely done and we prefer this. Many cafes around the area but we didn't have time to walk around to explore. Walking in the hot afternoon is not easy but you can get around in grab car which is recommended! Tuk tuk is available via the reception - they help you book if you need. So we had no lack of transport options. Room was cleaned daily and we love the spaciousness of our room. Gym was small but we didnt really need it. But i guess you can squeeze a workout in if you need. We loved our stay at Thai Akara. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.

Every single staff at this hotel is a pure gem and it's a shame we did not get their names but we would like to wholeheartedly thank every single one of them from the reception team, kitchen team and housekeepers for making us feel extremely welcomed. The room was clean, spacious and the amenities provided were complete. The hotel doesn't house many guests as we were informed it only has 27 rooms so not only we felt the exclusivity, the vicinity didn't seem small at all. We had a room on the ground floor. The greenery and landscaping of the hotel were extraordinary and relaxing. It was a plus for a boutique hotel that comes with a decent sized gym! The biggest surprise was of course its breakfast. The spreads and varieties were wonderful and taste may be subjective but we had no complaint at all. Food served was fresh and scrumptious and the dining atmosphere was calm and quiet we really enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Staff was attentive and hospitable regardless where we were in the compound at this hotel. Overall we truly had a fantastic time staying at Thai Akara and we are already planning for a return visit and without a doubt choosing this hotel again because we are certain this hotel won't disappoint.

A cute little boutique hotel with not too bad location at a secluded alley in the busy Old City, eg. 10 minutes walk to Tha Phae walking street. Many popular Wat & food places nearby within walking distance, easy to walk around. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, from check in staff to bartender, everyone is always ready to help with a smile. To name a few...the lady who helped us to check in (didn't get her name, she speaks fluent English), the two guys who helped us on our luggages, the bartender who made us the nice mocktails. They made us feel really warm and welcomed. The hotel also has activities for guests everyday 2pm by the pool side, eg. Shaved ice making, dessert cooking class etc. There are welcome drinks upon arrival and one mocktail for guest to redeem at pool bar during the stay. Overall, love the place. Will recommend.
