Full of Character”
Very pleased to have chosen this place for my first break since the pandemic started. The setting is very homely and full of character. I stayed in the Apo cottage, which has views of Apo Island from the bed. There are lots of high-quality local dishes in the restaurant. The portions are relatively small except for the spaghetti dishes but still very enjoyable. Dinner for 2 with drinks costs around 1k or less. All the staff are very friendly and accomodating, particularly housekeeping. The French owner regularly checks in on how the guests are doing. The pool is a good size and deep. You can easily spend a few days here without leaving and have a great time chilling out. I would highly recommend to any Negros Oriental residents looking for a local break in these difficult times, and other tourists looking for somewhere to go in the near future. Beautiful property. Although had some initial problems with my assigned room due to the A/C not working they fixed that and accommodated that. All within an early check in timeframe. Although these initial problems were bothersome, I was extremely satisfied with the way the staff assisted with this issue and resolved it. In my book that means everything and kudos to the property for that. Excellent and outstanding. Daily boat to Apo island directly from the property beach is not only convenient but they provided everything to make this the most memorable day of snorkeling ever had in my life. Friendly staff, good bar, and extremely beautiful dining room overlooking the ocean to do you eating. Highly recommend this place and will stay here again. Thank you for a memorable stay.

To be honest, when we checked in it just seemed like a nice resort, like many other we've stayed at in this area... but all the little details won us over.. Like soft water and good water pressure in the showers (and limitless hot water). The staff are excellent, and go about every task with warmth and professionalism. The pool is fresh and clean, and uses the salt water filtration that avoids chemically smells.. and is actually theraputic for your skin. The grounds are manicured, with a rich abundance of plants in great variety, including, I believe, a plumaria tree near the pool that smelled amazing! The rooms are of modest size, but with very large bathrooms.. all the decor is on point, and the rainfall showerhead, an luxurious mattresses, make sure that you feel pampered and refreshed at the start of you day. I don't ususally gush about any hotel.. but this place, while not trying to appear to be the Taj Mahal, managed to make everything work together perfectly! Highly recommend it!

A great little get away with a really good restaurant.”
I have lived nearby here for 7 years, but never been until now. I think I have missed out. The resort is really nice, with a very good (sea water) swimming pool, clean and nicely designed rooms - though the aircons could do with a little maintenance. The restaurant is not the cheapest in the area, but it is the best. Better by far than anything else I have tasted in Zamboanguita, better than 90% of the restaurants in Dumaguete. There didn't seem to be much to see snorkelling from the beach in front of the resort, you might need to go a bit further to see any fish or coral. I don't dive yet so can't comment on the diving facilities, but they seemed to have everything you would need. The staff were all lovely, well-trained and polite. The owner was friendly but not intrusive. In other words, a great place to come for a couple of days, relax and enjoy good food. Highly recommended, we will be back!

We keep going back. We live in the area but we still go enjoy a night away, the fantastic food, and nice pool. The staff is great, the rooms are clean, and an amazing view. They also have a large generator so they are not affected by the constant power outages in the area.

If your main plan is to visit Apo Island, this place is the best! The resort is only about 15-20 minutes boat ride away. They will also provide you the snorkels and flippers if needed. If you’re looking for a place that is intimate, this is the place! They were very accommodating as well. They helped make our honeymoon memorable ♥️ We will most definitely be coming back

Great summer getaway”
Thalatta Resort is a great find! The property is the perfect jump off point to Apo Reef-to see magnificent ocean life esp sea turtles!-& other dive sites & places like Oslob for the whalesharks, Bais for their dolphins., etc. The staff & dive crew were all very helpful, friendly & attentive. The place was clean, beds comfy & located right beside the ocean. The food was good esp the breakfast buffet. The resort is a 30-45min ride to the city of Dumaguete & St. Catherine Cathedral and a 5 min tricycle ride to to the Malatapay market & St. Isidore Church.

Great value resort”
They organised a very efficient airpot meet, excellent driver. Warm welcome on arrival with proper tour of the resort. Spacious room with fan and aircon, nice patio, room clean, excellent towels, only negative was the aroma from the drains most days. Plenty of water provided, they also had good draught beer. The restaurant was very good and efficient, coffee was good. Location was fine for us, no real beach and strong breeze. Very nice pool area, loungers, shade, massage tent. We enjoyed our four nights. Well run resort with a very visible proprietor making sure.

I loved my stay in Thalatta Resort, the stuff is friendly and nice, great pool, food and massage there, nice location at the beach. It is not for swimming but great for relax and you can do trips to Apo Island and diving if you like. nice place to stay, thanks a lot!!

Everything was perfect. It is a small boutique resort, but everything just works. Staff is friendly and attentive, it is a diving resort, restaurant is reasonable priced, and an amazing view over the sea. would for sure go here again!

After 5 years”
Our first time ti visit the resort was 5 years ago and we fell inlove with it so we decided to revisit it again. We stayed for 2 nights at Thalatta and we did not regret it. I requested to stay on a room that was overlooking Apo Island and they gave me that room. The room we had was perfect, no complains at all. The staffs were amazing! All of them were accommodating and always greets you any time of the day. Even the guy cleaning the pool was uber friendly, invited us to go to his house in October for a local fiesta celebration. Food was amazing. Loved the dorado fish and ribs we had for our dinner. Free breakfast was ample as well. They serve continental buffet breakfast + food from their breakfast menu not exceeding Php 200 / person. Pool very relaxing, it feels like we were the only guests there, everything exceeded our expectation

Big comfortable room, very quiet area, great clean salt water pool and surroundings. Wonderful ocean views of Apo Island etc, great for sunrise snaps. Snorkeling and diving available. Food is excellent quality but a little over priced in our opinion. Staff are great

Good sized rooms that are well equipped. Quiet and relaxing as the resort is relatively small and many guests are out diving with the excellent on site dive centre. Good food with a relatively small selection. The resort is not close to anything so no real choice for eating and drinking. All prices are reasonable. The bar is often not staffed which means going to the restaurant. Good pool. If you want activities not the place for you.

We stayed here one night after Apo island and it was great. Nice rooms, great staff and very good food. Also the pool area is very nice. Last but not least, it is fairly priced. We recommend it and wish we could have stayed more days.
