Wonderful time spent in Phu Quoc ”
Thank you Thanh Kieu Resort. Absolutely a good choice and we never regret once of our selection. Though it was a rainy season, somehow, TK has been nice to us. Walked out from our room is already beach side, so it's really a good one to me. Beautiful beach and pool, and nice staff. Personally would like to thank Rosa, for always being a nice one to us. Made some hot tea for my partner when he's sick. We are grateful for the arrangement from TK. Thanks!
Good beach front hotel”
Read the reviews ahead and brought my own mosquito repellent/coils. The mosquitoes in the room/toilet are nasty - purchase ahead of reaching. Other than that, loved the hotel and location. The room overlooking the pool, overlooking the sea was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Nice and romantic place for sunset view”
Staffs are friendly and helpful, breakfast is nice too. Comfortable place.
5 Star Customer Service”
Awesome pool and lovely private beach. Great customer service especially Mr Albert and Ms Loan. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. The only downside is the mozzies probably due to the trees and plants around the chalets. Overall great place to chill and relax. Good location too.
Great place on the beach!”
Very happy to spend a week here. Nice private beach and great swimming pool. Clean room, spacious and cool, with good bathroom. They do a good little breakfast too! The staff were lovely, even got me a cake for my birthday! Good massage too! Only negative is the restaurant, not much choice but walk 200m from the hotel and there's a lot of choice but don't let that put you off, seriously a good place to spend a week by the ocean!
Thanh kiThe best resort with over the quote : “ you pay what you get” ”
A best honeymoon as I can have, with their well prepaid : flowers, decoration bed, perfect bathroom! Standard breakfast, airport transfer, rental scooter.... nice view, and friendly staff! Even the mosquito alive together, do not forget to pull- down your mosquito nest before sleeping! Thank you for the best honeymoon with thanh kieu!
lush greenery and amazing pool”
The infinity pool overlooking the beach is amazing. The bungalows are clean, well serviced and have a peaceful feel. Featuring an Orford bathroom. Fans in the breakfast area would be a welcome addition and some LED lighting on the beach area to enjoy this area after sunset. A 2km walk along the beach into the main beach I see you within the main town area. The staff were very helpful and very welcoming. Fantastic resort excellent value for money.
Great location but bad treatment”
We were very hungry and tired and hoping to get some food in the hotel restaurant but we were turned away and asked to find food somewhere outside by the staff there because they are preparing food for a larger group of people. They even deny our request to come back later at dinner and turned everyone else away too as far as i can see. We were planning to have our anniversary dinner there and it was a major turn off for us. That was very rude and very inappropriate to treat your hotel guests like that. You should at least provide some other alternatives to the guests because some of them just don’t want to go outside and look for food on their own. Totally a bad hospitality in that sense and we were very unhappy about it.
Nice quiet resort in good location”
The location on the beach is really nice, but still it is not far to a number of restaurants and shops near the main road. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Only disadvantage was that there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room.
Pros- quiet, no TV, pool, nice people, great breakfast, Cons- bar closed at 9pm and was very weak on selection. There was quite a selection of bugs. Bring coils and repellent. Beautiful resort that is slowly being updated. Georgious beach....actually the best in that area.
Very close to beach”
The hotel has a great location which is very close to beach, less than 100 meters. However, there is no telephone as well as kettle in the room. If I need help, I have to go to reception. The swimming is good to swim, which I really like.
Great value for money”
Been there in May 2019 for a 3 nights stay. The location was a bit far from the night market (about 2km, close to 30 min walk). I'd advise to rent a bike at about 5 - 6 USD per day for travelling around for convenience. The room is spacious with very nice outdoor toilet which I like a lot! The breakfast selections are various and delicious. With the money you paid, this hotel definitely a great value for money. The pool by the beach and the private beach is definitely another thing that makes me miss the hotel so much! The only downside is they dont provide kettle in the room. You will have to walk to the reception (there is no room phone) to request for hot water(to be served in tumbler) when you need to make coffee. p.s. Thanks to the great hospitality provided by Albert, receptionist. It is hard to find someone to communicate in English in the whole island and he definitely one of the better ones. He shared the information he has on hand about the tourist spots around.
Stayed one week with family of five. Family bungalow right next to the beach with two bedrooms and spacious livinroom. Beach, swimmingpool, restaurant and stuff all worked very well. No complaints at all!!!
Great staff and location”
Nice hotel which was located a 20 minute walk from the night market. Whilst we were there there was quite a bit of work happening, such as a new swimming pool. Its a pity that the beach bar wasn't open (because it was down season). The rooms were big, with aircon and mosquito nets. As with most of Vietnam during monsoon season there are a lot of mossis around.. The bathrooms were fine being open to the elements. The breakfast was standard to the country and the staff were lovely... We would stay here again if on the island...
Great seaview, helpful staff, average cleanliness ”
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great private beach with sunset view, exquisite and peaceful garden. Fantastic infinity pool with clean water. Good location and there are a few restaurant nearby the resort. Unique open-air bathroom. Average room cleanliness with basic amenities. Would be good if the room comes with cloth hanger, kettle in the room instead of requesting from the reception, to provide mosquito coil as mosquitoes came into the room through the bathroom. Resort should consider to renovate the room as rain water would slip into the bedroom during heavy rain causing wet floor. Air conditioning was not working on of the day(including night) during our stay. Worker replaced another unit of used air conditioning which got malfunction again. We have to sleep without air conditioning and there is not fan in the room. Also good for the hotel to provide buggy service to fetch guest to/from the main road as it took 5-10 min walking into the hotel.
Cozy place to stay in Phu Quoc”
Great location, friendly staff, beautiful beach with restaurant and bar, beautiful garden and pool with a view. You can expect to meet a geeko- you can get used to it. Expect mosquitoes especially in the open bathroom.
Amazing place!!! ”
We enjoyed our staying at the Thanh Kieu Resort. The location is perfect, far from the noise for a perfect relaxing beach day and yet close if you hire a motorbike you can reach easily everywhere. A special thank you to Albert, Jerry and all the staff always smiling and ready to help you!
Beautiful rustic style cottages just like we wanted. Clean. Lots of beautiful vegetation and tropical fruits trees. Very well maintained site. The infinity pool is superb. Book a superior cottage, it’s worth it. We like walking on the beach and Thanh Kieu has the best beach setup with lots of sand. Other hotels have practically no sand space on the beach. I would come back here anytime! Loved it!!! Cons: - the resto service is lousy. Eat Vietnamese choices only. They have no idea how to cook Caucasian dishes and charge expensive for crap. Walk out the hotel down a bit and there are better restos. The Spice House in the Cassia next door is amazing. - be careful with the tours proposed by the hotel guy that walks around. He proposed a tour of 10 spots of south Phu Quoc for 2,500,000 Dongs. But we had already secured a private taxi for the same for 600,000 dongs. - if you don’t like mosquitoes, this type of hotel is not for you.
Great location on the beach.”
We had a family bungalow (lounge plus two bedrooms) adjacent to the beach and pool. It was ideal. Breakfast was adequate, we didn't eat at the hotel beach restaurant ~ for the six nights we walked 5 minutest the main road and a choice of 30 plus restaurants. The best we found was the Indian in the 'food market'.We would return as the hotel beach and infinitely pool were great.
We visited this resort at the same time the previous year and came away happy with it. But this year we were disappointed with it. Cleaning of the room. This was quite good but became inconsistant as the week went on. For the first 3 days we didnt have the mossie coil put down in the bathroom. Then for 3 days we did. But for the last night there wasnt one. As the facility was open to the elements it required one every day. The cleaing of the room was not up to the standard we had been used to the year before. The ceaning on the last day was vitually none existant with just the basics being done. This year, on the first night we arrived at the bar and were informed that the bar was closed at 9pm. We were also looking forward to eating from the seafood boat on the beach in the evening. We went down three times and there was no bbq, very disappointing. Also the attitude of 2 of the restaurant staff was surely to say the least. Good points, The customer services manager and gardeners.
