Decent stay for a couple of nights”
We stayed for 3 nights, our room was a good size, en suite included. Had a good working fridge & toiletries provided. The room was clean enough and the AC worked well. The member of staff helped us book a bus to Cambodia, she even walked us to the bus stop to show us where we depart, they are very helpful. The hotel location is good, right in a backpacker area, down a side street which has many shops and cheap places to eat. Apart from a few pedestrians the alley is rather quiet too. It a decent place to stay for a few nights, a little pricier than other places, but it’s a good little hotel.

Excellent”
Down a small alley so took an extra 5-10 minutes to find it but now looking back I am glad it was there. This alley has loads of small restaurants which you would never have found if you didn't stay here.

Smack in the middle of Backpacker's Street”
The air conditioning was quite noisy and it took a while to fall asleep. The shower had terrible low water pressure. The heater didn't seem to have an in between, the water was either ice cold or boiling hot. The WiFi wasn't working during my stay. I'd definitely choose some place else to stay if I'm ever back in Ho Chi Minh!

Excellent location and value!”
Location near Bui Vien and Pham Ngu Lao can't be beat. The alley the guesthouse is in is amazing, so much delicious street food, fresh smoothies and cheap massages. Right around the corner from cheap bia hoi! Very helpful staff. Overall excellent stay. I would stay here again no question.

Good Location, Family Place”
I stayed in a private room here. Everything works well. Room is clean and decent size. This is typical family house with both private and hostel type rooms. Very good location for tourists, walking distance to everything.

good location”
location, quiet, downtown
Thanh Thuong is located in the backpacker's district, with buses from the airport going directly to the bus terminal at Pham Ngu Lao which is about 5 minutes walk to the hostel. It is located in the back alley, with plenty of delicious food options, such as Indian or Vietnamese. It is peaceful and in the mornings we were not awakened by the traffic. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so if you're staying on the 5th floor, be prepared to climb the stairs.

Nice little hidden away Guest House in a busy part of District 1”
Basic guest house, clean, dated furniture. Had to climb steps to 4th floor room. This is down a long alley off a main street. That being said, there are other guest houses and restaurants along the alley. There is air conditioning, TV, wi-fi. The washroom is small and you shower in front of the toilet and sink. I didn’t like the bed linens – polyester pillow cases. There are no windows, however after a hot noisy day on the streets of HCM, the room was a respite – quiet and restful. No breakfast is provided But the people at this guest house are nice.(Try the KIM Cafe at 268 De Tham, next street over for nice breakfasts) Also try the restaurant Pho Quynh for great Pho Bo Kho (brisket is so tender). Turn left as you exit the alley and go down a block. Also go to the Ben Tranh Market which is at the corner of the park on the far side of the traffic circle in the direction of the bus station

Friendly and kind staff”
Friendly, helpful staff, nice beds, good air con.
I stayed a total of 4 nights. The staff were always willing to help. The tour to the mekong delta trip, that I booked through the hotel was great. The rooms were good for the price and the air con great. They have a tv with English movie channels if you want to chill too, in the room. The location is right in the backpacker area, 1 minute walk from 'beer street'. When I went on my delta tour, they let me leave my backpack with them, and helped me contact my next hotel for when I left Ho chi minh. The only down side, which isn't much to me, was that there are a lot of floors so you might get tired walking up by the time you reach your room, but it isn't really much of a negative! :)

A great little hotel in Saigon”
Service, location, wuality
This is a great place to stay and see Saigon. It is in the tourist district but across the street from a huge park with large shade trees. The big market is close as well as the museums and other sights. The main tourist street is right at the other end of the alley and incredible people watching. The staff of this guest house are very helpful and know the things you want to find out. I will always stay here when visiting SGN. Tennis courts are a ten minute walk in the area marked "public pool" on the map.

Good Location for backpackers”
Location, Staff
This is a great hotel for backpackers, cheap and reasonably clean although the bathroom is tiny, with the shower over the toilet. Just off "Backpacker Street" the location is excellent, right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. Only downside is that they close the shutters around 1am, so if you come back after that time you have to wake the people sleeping downstairs, but all the other guesthouses nearby did the same.

More than what I payed for”
Location, cleanliness, price
My family was happy that the location of the guest house was great. It was near several good places to eat. The hotel itself has acceptable amenities and was kept clean the whole time. They were all comfortable enough. This is definitely not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a decent place to stay in Vietnam that is also affordable, I think this is a good place. :)
