Good value for money spent”
The Thao Ha hotel is close to beach and to all amenities you would need (shops, restaurants, motorbikes rent, etc.) . You can choose for small additional surcharge to add breakfast which is good quality and at minimum you don't need to run on the morning into the street. Do not expect some luxury for that room price, but if you are like us - we need to have our private bathroom and good bed to sleep, to take rest after all around discovery. We don't need to spent the time of our holiday in hotel room, and more over there is the outside pool too, because in the ocean it is hard to take a bath. I would recommend it for travelers like us, even for longer stay in.

Buffet breakfast is super good”
We booked the day before and We paid around 1000php and got a room with a spacious balcony, great view and big bed and spacious toilet. I was expecting the free breakfast would either be a set meal or some toast and coffee BUT I WAS WRONG. It was a buffet! Good food choices. I think we stayed about 2hours in the dining area. I already suggested this hotel to my friends.

Good place”
This place is good and right next to hanh cafe bus service so that's an advantage. The breakfast is very good and the staffs always greet you with smile. It's located near to some affordable cafe and restaurants also so I would suggest this place.

Be warned - the hotel insist we hand over our passports to be kept in their safe”
The hotel is spacious and clean. We booked their group tour but they squeeze 7 persons into the jeep; driver is reckless and always blows his horn. Better to book your own private jeep if you want to spend more time at the white sand dune (no public bus goes there). The driver either lost his way or delayed arriving there earlier so we are forced to ride their ATVs. Red bus 9 (VN35K) takes 45min from Phan Thiet train station to the hotel. You can go to red sand dune, fairy stream and fishing village on your own. Take either bus 1 or 9 (VN13K) to get to Red sand while on the way there you will pass by Fairy Stream so you'd know where to alight when coming back. These three you can easily accomplished within 4 hours. Eating at 105 Nguyen Dinh Chieu "BE AN BI" makes good sense for the budget traveller; it's half the cost compared to restaurants. Bus 9 goes to Lotte Mart then take an official taxi VN50K 5mins to the train station as not all Bus 9 from hotel goes to Phan Thiet train stn

Decent ”
Nothing much to review on. Decent for a one night stay if you're on Mui Ne. Anything longer than that, i probably wouldn't recommend.

They insisted to keep passports of customers which we werennot comfortable. ”
One of our rooms were not cleaned and after complaint, they change room for us. My daughter found the cleaner slept in one of the guest room at ground floor with shoes on.

Infested with flying cockroaches. Would have been a decent stay if it weren't for them.

Bad service with no value for money ”
Thao Ha is more like a 1 star hotel with little to no service. They did not manage their dogs who kept barking at us and many other guests and tried to bite us as well. We mentioned the problem with their dogs, but they laughed. Breakfast is very small with awkward times from 7-9 am. The service personnel did not speak any English at all. It made the communication impossible. Moreover there is no beach in the nearby area. Resorts on the other side of Thao Ha, had their private beaches.

Very nice; great breakfast/restaurant”
I lived in Phan Thiet/Mui Ne for the past year and this is by far the nicest budget hotel I found. The pool makes up for the non seaside location, although the beach is never too far away in Mui Ne. I booked a room here without visiting the hotel first and was pleasantly surprised that the room was so spacious. My brother was visiting from the U.S. and had large suitcases. Our room also had a balcony (not much of a view though). The second surprise was the breakfast/restaurant. If you get to breakfast early you have an elaborate and varied choice of Western and Vietnamese dishes. Many things are also buffet style. Additionally, the restaurant prices are very affordable for this area. I suggest taking advantage of dining at the hotel as opposed to outside.

Just as good as the reviews”
It is difficult to say what has not been already said about this hotel. It is a really nicely designed hotel with spacious rooms and excellent bathrooms. Most of the rooms have balconies including ones with sea views. We stayed in two different price rooms. The standard are cleaning was generally very good but a little more attention could be paid to the pool and corridors. The breakfast is a very varied buffet style - all that you could want for. Given that the cheapest room for two people is $30 plus service on Agoda, this is excellent value. The restaurant staff are particularly good. The downside is that there is no direct access to the beach across from the hotel. That is Mui Ne for you. But some of the beachside places are accommodating about this. Probably the worst thing was the antics of the housekeeper when trying to extract tips having done nothing warranting a tip. This was a general experience and inappropriate.

Recommended for Honeymooners”
The staff were very friendly and had a very good command of english. The daily breakfast menu was ala carte buffet style with a very nice decor setup for its restaurant, the breakfast served was delicious. The restaurant staff was very attentive and when we were nearing done with our dish, he would come over to recommend ordering more food. The hotel rooms didn't have a squeaky clean feel to it, but it was spacious and roomy which would come in handy if you plan to do a bit of shopping from the conveniently located nearby shops. The hotel location is a short 5 mins walk to the beach. If you're looking to try some excellent seafood and an affordable price minus the classy environment, the Indo bar just opposite the hotel also serves up amazingly fresh seafood. For those looking for some exotic dishes, try their grilled crocodile or cobra. Sidewalk vendors that sell trinkets and jewelry can be found near by also, their prices are way much cheaper compared to the vendors in Ho Chi Minh Ben Thanh Market. Overall, it was a great stay and experience. Recommended for couples or families that are looking for a balance between the beach, the nightlife, the food and the shopping.

Lovely hotel with good location”
Hotel has very good location - in the middle of only street of Mui Ne. Not the seafront, but beach is easy accessible through territories of hotels in front - just ask for permission first time you do it. Hotel is small, surrounded by other small hotels and kite schools, shops. Everything is easy accessible by walking. Hotel has pool in front of it which is good at some points. Buffet breakfast is very good and has selection of fruits, local food and Western continental breakfast. Rooms are spacious. Just rooms at the back of hotel has unpleasant view as there is unkept territorry behind the hotel. Hotel has huge terrace at the top floor available for all guests with excellent views.

Nice room in good location”
We booked the hotel with Agoda for one night before we could move into our friends guesthouse in Mui Ne. The room was well appointed with good services from the staff. We enjoyed the use of the pool after a long day on the beach or in the bars. We didn't use the resteraunt as there was loads of choice locally for seafood etc in Mui Ne. Great beach, bars and nightlife very close to the hotel and nice and easy for bus pick up/ drop off. We would stay again.

Clean and wonderful service”
i had stayed there previously two weeks ago and the staff were very kind and courteous so i promised them i would return two weeks later on my way back from nba trang to saigon. wonderful thing is they recognized me and told me upfront that late check out would not be an issue as i had during my initial stay requested for a late check out. that was a nice touch. i did not use the late check out though as i had already booked at the villa mui ne the next day but it was nice of them to remember which reminded me of my terrible experience at whitesand doclet beach and spamresort which was a supposedly 5 star resort with dirty and terrible rooms and could not even offer me a one hour late check out when i asked for it. and i was told in a very rude tone of voice as well by the whitesand manager. kudos to thao ha hotel. will stay there again next month!

Great location and clean”
I had a good stay in this clean and well located hotel. The staff were friendly but English was very limited. The water pressure was great but not much hot water. The ocean view room had a lovely view and it was quiet except for noisy aircon. The pool was murky and breakfast was very simple. The room door had a see-through glass panel with a pull across curtain. All locks were weak and the balcony could be accessed from the hall so security was very low. Overall the price was too high for the place but Mui Ne is very beautiful.

Beautiful hotel, Great Breakfast”
we stayed at thao ha because it was in the location we wanted but not as expensive as most others (even though for this hotel we decided to pay much more money and have a few luxury days after so much travel). first thought was that this hotel was fancy and absolutely fantastic. we walked in passed the swimming pool and lounge chairs and saw the outdoor restaurant and fancy lobby. our room was large with a balcony and air-con as well as flat screen and hot water. the staff were friendly and the room was kept spotless every day. there was also a good view from the roof. the free breakfast was amazing with a wide selection (including cereal), all delicious and you could go back for more. however the restaurant is expensive when you are paying your own way. we had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel and although a bit on the expensive side (at least for us backpackers and that was even with an agoda special (but the staff let us stay another night for the same price)) we would definitely return. tours are however cheaper at other places, other than that we had no problems.

we really enjoyed the thao ha hotel. it's right across from the beach and a close walking distance from everything in mui ne. the staff were very friendly and obliging. very clean room and breakfast was yum! it doesn't look much from the outside, but we would definitely recommend the thao ha.

Clean and tidy hotel”
we enjoyed staying at the thao ha hotel. the staff were helpful, the rooms were clean and were pretty good for the price. we also enjoyed having a pool handy, and the complimentary breakfast was better then some of the other ones we've experienced. the location was good, not on the beach - but handy to restaurants, the beach and kite surfing etc. overall we enjoyed our stay.
